Jul 4, 2011I have multiple phone lines.... is there any way to get notifications of waiting voice mail sent to my e-mail or some other way? even a text to my main phone?

Motorola Droid X2 :: Can Disable Notifications For VZW Voice-mail
Mar 17, 2012I've used exclusively Google Voice for voicemails, and not the VZW service, for over 6 months. I figure all VZW voicemails are cleared out by now. But still, the little "tape" icon is displayed in the notification banner. When I enter the voicemail app, I see that I do have one voicemail. Also, the green LED blinks incessantly sometimes (but sometimes not??). I think the voicemail notification and LED blinking are related.Is there any way to disable notifications for the VZW voicemail, both the notification icon and/or the LED blinking? The Menu button has no effect in the voicemail app, and I don't see any applicable setting in the phone's Settings menu.Or, is there some way to clear/empty/disable my VZW voice mailbox without deactivating Google voicemail for my phone?

Jul 24, 2011Today, my phone and my husband's (same phone: Droid X) activated voicemail on it's own, or else Verizon did it for us. Problem is, neither of us WANT voicemail on our phones! How can we deactivate, while still keeping the option of voicemail later? I thought about just forcing a stop on the voicemail, but am worried that it will mean we won't have the option of voicemail in the future, should we require it.

May 3, 2011I just noticed something odd when pulling down my notification bar, it states that a voicemail I received yesterday was received on 12/31/69. The date and time are correct on the device everywhere else. I've pulled the battery and rebooted to the same thing. I guess it's not a huge issue, but just curious as to what causes this.For the record:

Jun 28, 2010Just upgraded from bold 9000 to 9700. I upgraded my OS to version .743. After that, I stopped getting visual voice mail notifications. The message is there when I dial "1", but doesn't show up at all under the VVM menu, nor do I get the visual indication(s). It did work on the AT&T OS out of the box. Second issue with this O.S.- phone does not lock when it is in the holster. I have to believe both these issues are with the .743 version of the OS, but I may be missing something. I've read others with the VVM problem, not none of the threads seem to offer a solution except to say that AT&T WAS having issues with this back in November.

Feb 6, 2012I have an email account at optonline.net (could be optimum.net, too). Motorola's support section says that Optimum recommends using a browser to access mobile email (what???? I have to go get it??? It won't come to me???) but then provides the settings to use in the email app. Using auto configuration, I'm receiving my email in seconds, but I can't send email from the phone. I've tried to configure it manually (the automatic configuration provides the wrong name for the outgoing server) but so far, no combination of settings has resulted in my ability to send an email from optimum on my Droid Razr.

Apr 25, 2010Ok this is my situation. I have a blackberry curve from tmobile. My sister got a new phone so she gave me her blackberry storm 9350. I went to a cell phone shop around my area and they unlocked the storm so i can use it with my tmobile sim card. I put on the sim card and i thought everything was working perfect but then i found out that i have multiple problem.
The good: I can make calls, i can use the internet.
The bad: when i place a call my sister number appears in the other person phone (not my tmobile number), i cant call my voicemail, cant setup my email, cant receive calls and more problems i still havent discovered lol.
