Specifically, this is about my PC not receiving emailed forum messages for the past few days. I've fiddled with my Outlook settings, hit the Stop email notifications link, hit the Receive email notifications link after exiting IE 9, etc.
View 15 RepliesMy phone updated night before last, and since then I haven't been receiving several notifications, most importantly my email is not automatically syncing. I have to manually sync my gmail. I was having no issues with notifications prior to the update.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI started having this issue yesterday--I have YMail, Hotmail and GMail accounts all in the stock e-mail app on my Nexus 5. I also use Lightflow for LED notifications and have had no problems. I noticed I was no longer receiving the taskbar icon notifications in the upper left for new e-mails, nor the Lightflow LED notifications. I still get Hangout/text notifications, not sure about missed calls.
1) Confirmed notifications set to On in the e-mail app for each of the e-mail accounts
2) Turned phone off and then back on
3) Cleared data and cleared cache in e-mail app -- didn't work
4) Uninstalled Lightflow app
5) Deleted all 3 accounts from the e-mail app, then added them back in; rebooted -- still no notifications
I don't use the stock GMail app for GMail since I prefer to just have one icon to use to keep track of all my e-mail accounts.
The email on my Droid Turbo quit sending and receiving email about two weeks ago. The Gmail works but my other email doesn't. Email works fine on my computer but not my phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOn my Razr M, from time to time the phone will stop getting mail. Push is on. Normally works fine, however in the last few days, I'll notice that there is no mail and the last update was hours ago. If I reboot the phone, it all works again. Three different exchange accounts on the phone and the problem happens will all three accounts at the same time. When this does happen, I still have internet connectivity. Wifi or 4g makes no difference.

I still get weather and facebook though. I did check my motoactv app to make sure the boxes were still checked to receive the notifications.

I think it should happen in the opposite order.
Im going on a cruise in a few weeks and I am bringing my phone to use for camera, video and Mp3 player. But I dont want anyone to call me or text me or for the phone to send me notification cause I can be charged outrageous fees, SO is this possible is there a way to do this?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm pretty sure that this problem started after the Memorial Day Gingerbread soak.Although, it's possible that it started after the mid-August Gingerbread fiasco.I can be sitting at my computer desk in my house and receive a Voicemail notification, only to learn that it was for a call that never rang or vibrated on my Droid X perhaps a quarter of an hour before. This has happened numerous times, while most of the time, the phone rings and calls arrive correctly.

Yet I keep getting 2 notifications 1) is using the message notification I set in SMS Pop and the other is the default notification sound.
How do I locate / kill the app making the default sound!?
I get a Star shaped thing in the notifier bar on the top. When I pull it down it says "Meet Local Singles" I hit clear but it keeps coming back every day. Is there a list of Apps that do this? My most recent app is QRDroid so I did delete that. The others (MANY others) are months old but update frequently so how would I know? I've heard about Droid Wall but I need apps to access internet for weather info, movie info, xfinity listings etc so I don't want an app that randomly blocks internet access for apps that legitimately need it. Could it be Call Blocker (Easy Filter) app?

View 15 Replies View RelatedI've had this phone for about a year and have always had issues of not receiving Hotmail emails within a reasonable amount of time. With the GB update it did get a little better but today when I turned on my phone at 7am and it's now 10:30am I have not received any emails. I checked my Hotmail account on a desktop pc and I had 12 emails since last night as recently as 15 minutes ago. I thought GB was supposed to fix this. My battery life is not better if possibly worse with GB. And yes my Droid X does turn back on when I turn it off. Looks like GB may have fixed some things but broke others

I have been into settings and can't find any way turn notifications off. When I click "settings" under gmail, there is an option to turn off the icon in the status bar, but no way to turn off the sound.

I have to open the stock texting app, and I will immediately see the unread messages, and at that time I get the 'Droid' sound and the text icon appears in the notification bar. Under the heading 'Notifications', I do not have the option of a check box to turn off the notification sounds.All I have is a drop down menu entitled, "Notification Ringtone". Within this menu, I have the options "Android System", "Handcent SMS" and "Zedge ringtones". None of these allow me the option of silencing the phones notification sounds.
What is happening is that I'm getting a double 'notification' tone every time I get a text, and it's driving me crazy. I get an overall notification beep from the phone, then a secondary tone from the Handcent app. And I really want to silence ALL of the phones overall notification sounds, and only receive the ones from the Handcent app when I get a text.
The only way I can find out if I have new mail in my Gmail app is if I check and refresh it manually. I have push notifications turned on under the email settings. I have background data enabled. Trying to avoid restoring my phone.rundown of settings to get my notifications back up and running?
