I've had my Actv for a while now and haven't had a problem till recently. I'm not getting notifications on it anymore regarding phone calls, text messages, or reminders. I still get weather and facebook though. I did check my motoactv app to make sure the boxes were still checked to receive the notifications.

View 22 Replies View RelatedI started having this issue yesterday--I have YMail, Hotmail and GMail accounts all in the stock e-mail app on my Nexus 5. I also use Lightflow for LED notifications and have had no problems. I noticed I was no longer receiving the taskbar icon notifications in the upper left for new e-mails, nor the Lightflow LED notifications. I still get Hangout/text notifications, not sure about missed calls.
1) Confirmed notifications set to On in the e-mail app for each of the e-mail accounts
2) Turned phone off and then back on
3) Cleared data and cleared cache in e-mail app -- didn't work
4) Uninstalled Lightflow app
5) Deleted all 3 accounts from the e-mail app, then added them back in; rebooted -- still no notifications
I don't use the stock GMail app for GMail since I prefer to just have one icon to use to keep track of all my e-mail accounts.
I have the weather app on my 16G, and while I get weather updates every hour when I am just wearing the device, when I am in workout mode, I do not get the hourly weather updates consistently until I stop the workout. This isn't right is it? I should get the weather updates every hour regardless of mode.
Since there is no thermo on the Motoactv, I like to know the local temp while on long training rides.
I have tried several times to setup my Samsung Droid Charge and get it to connect to MOTOACTV. Every time I have run the smartphone setup and run MOTOACTVon my phone, I select the motoactv on through the app and it says to pair. The pairing codes on the phone and the device match and I select the "pair" option on motoactv and the "allow" option on the phone. The message stating to allow bluetooth pairing remains on the screen and I am not allowed to go through any further options. Finally this evening it let me through the options to allow calls, etc

I could not see any results for my search, or any notification of 'No Results'.That being said, my real question is about Gmail and Gtalk notifications. I get notifications of calls and texts, but no Gmail or Gtalk. View 3 Replies View RelatedI just tried to sync with my computer (Windows 7 with full admin rights) and after installing and attempting to sync for to iTunes the first time I recieved aMML has stopped working error that forced the shut down of the application and would not let me open it back up again.To troubleshoot I've tried:1) reseting MotoActv to factory settings4) rebooting again5) reconnecting/reinstalling MotoCastUnfortunatly after all of the above the application continues not to work / fails with the same error every time I try to open it (not even making it to the sync page anymore) making the MotoActv essentially unusable since it won't sync workouts or download music.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo i went for my run yesterday and about 3/4 miles away from finishing the MA start acting up. It was saying i was running at a ~6mpm pace. i know for a fact that i wasn't! Then suddenly i was done, I would say less than 1/2 mile away from target. at that point I was so tired that i didn't care that much. but i do care now. On the route map i can see where it all went down and the MA stop tracking my distance. not sure why it happened, but its the first time.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been using my MA with ANT+ HR Monitor sensor nearly every day since I got this as a Christmas present for a several hours.I noticed at the end of about 3 months that the HR Sensor was flacky, so I replaced the 2032 3 volt battery in the sensor.This seemed to fix the problem.The device worked well for a few more weeks and than I was having similar problems, so I replaced the battery a 2nd time.Yesterday, I was able to use the HR Sensor for my morning workout, but the sensor was no longer transmitting when I went for a 5 mile walk.i replaced the battery again and repaired the sensor with the device.It seemed to connect fine, but there is not any live data being displayed from the HR sensor.I have tried repairing the sensor and it will pair, but their is no data being recieved by the MA device.Has anyone else had problems like this with their ANT+ HR Sensor?
View 5 Replies View Relatedjust finished my run on the .73 version for the first time. The device battery definitely lasts a little bit longer -- still dies close to 3 hours. Won't last all the way through my marathon training.That said, a couple of other things also happened. I added the Garmin foot pod to the devices linked to the MOTOACTV. I also have the Jaybird Freedom 3 as a bluetooth headset connected. Two things happened:
1. Approx 1.25mi into the run, i went to look down at the watch and it stopped tracking. I didn't hear anything in my ear -- no "workout stopped/paused" nothing. I heard it "workout started" when I began.
2. With the Garmin foot pod my avg. pace was higher -- than using the MOTOACTV without a pod (just the gps) -- is that normal?
3. About mid-way through the run, my music stopped -- i looked down at the MOTOACTV and noticed the bluetooth icon was gone (i.e., disconnected). I'm not sure why, i checked my headset and it was still on.
I have bought my MOTOACTV 8GB about two months ago. I have had no problems with all the device functionalities (music playing, bluetooth pairing with earphones and phone notifications with a non-motorola phone, phone calls through the MOTOACTV, GPS, pairing with a BLE Polar H7 heart rate sensor,...) until the latest update (MA 1.7.3 N8).I updated to MA 1.7.3 N8 (from MA 1.6.13 N8) two weeks ago, and the weather notifications with the updated MOTOACTV app worked also fine. But when I went running, after hitting the "Quick start" for the workout (the same happened after setting a target or hitting the "Fit test"), I got the following error:"Sorry. The application Workout (com.motorola.gault.activity) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."After a few trials, I noticed it happened only when the MOTOACTV was trying to pair with the BLE sensor. If I empty the sensor list on the MOTOACTV configuration, the workout can be started, but without the heart rate functionality.
Another symptom I get is that I cannot pair my MOTOACTV with my phone anymore. The MOTOACTV forgets the pairing: everytime I go to "Configuration->General->Smartphone Setup", I get the question about the phone having Android 2.1 for discovering a new phone. On the other hand, I can perfectly pair my bluetooth earphones and listen to music through them, so it is not a HW bluetooth related issue.I have tried restoring factory defaults several times, erasing all the music and podcasts on the device, and configuring the BLE HR sensor, the MOTOCAST account, and the phone pairing in different order, all without success, getting exactly these two problems; I am starting to think that the software on the device has become corrupted since I updated to the latest version.
Since the very beginning of the GB update (actually began with the Soak Test), the LED notification stopped working when I get a gmail. At some period shortly after, the notification to the notification bar also suddenly stopped as well. Now, the only way to see if I have a gmail is to go to Goolgle gmail and check.

The headphones were working for about 3 weeks with the motoactv, then one day the button stopped pausing and starting the audio for some reason. I tested the same headphones in my iphone, which worked as expected with no problems. I tested 2 other sets of headphones with the motoactv that have in-line buttons and they both work, but this paticular pair will not work with the in-line button. I have done a factory reset, but the results are the same. I have no idea what would cause this behavior.

I tried rebooting the phone and deleting/recreating the email account but I still get the same message. I didn't change the password to my email account in the 30-40 minutes it took to update my phone.

Please try again" and has a force close button.Hitting the Force Close causes the message to re-appear.Powering off and back on again, causes the message to re-appear.Is there a way to reset the device using the buttons (I have no menus, navigation or anything other than the message above so cant go to the config to do a factory reset).
View 2 Replies View RelatedAnyone getting the error, "The process xxxx has stopped unexpectedly" with one button that says "forced close"? If so what can be done to prevent it. I was at the end of my run yesterday and stopped my run on the Motoactv. When I clicked the button to stop the run, the error popped up. When I clicked the "forced close" button, I lost my entire run. The run can no longer be seen in my recent workout list. It was disappointing to loose the data. I was not running any music when this happened. I was only using the exercise mode at the time. My software version is 1.7.2 N8. I would suggest that the watch needs an option to make incremental saves automatically every lap. That way if the watch does crash or the watch is accidentally turned off, the entire workout is not lost.
View 2 Replies View RelatedRight out of the box and after running the firmware upgrade I am now getting the following error on the clock screen:
"The application Launcher (process come.android.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
There is a bar button below the message that says "Force Close". This error also occurs when you select "Battery Saver" under settings. There are also missing menu items under Settings. For instance there is no way to change clocks.The device boots up normally without errors and successfully has taken my Personal Profile settings. I also have been able to sync music to it and it plays and works with my Motorola S10 BT headphones.I have tried resetting to factory and then resyncing but no luck. I've powered it off/on many times but no luck. Everything was working fine before the upgrade. That is as far as I can tell anyhow. I only had it on 1/2 day today and did the upgrade.
Cleared data for google service framework trying to force the lollipop update on my T-Mobile g3 and also force stopped it. Now I'm not receiving push notifications.
