Is there a way during a workout Run or Weight Training to get a notification or Alert when I hit a zone. This would be useful especially if I am doing interval training.

If no zone is selected, the name will be "Running". With zone, I see the distance.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had a MOTOACTIVE for about a month now and I still haven't gotten to grips with the Pace & Power Zone settings. I could be wrong but to me it seems like they're just not working.In the Pace Zone settings the lower and upper limits are all set to meaningless values and I've tried a number of times to set them manually with no luck. Then the Power Zones Templates are completely blank and I am unable to set anything at all.
View 1 Replies View RelatedInteresting discovery during this morning's run - happened to flick the unit for a metrics update and, along with the other data, the audio coach announced an average pace that was actually the average pace for the whole run rather than for the current mile!All I need now is for the audio alert at the end of each mile to give me the average pace for the whole run and I am happy.
Oh, except that towards the end of the run the unit went weird on me (the voice announced in my ear that I had burned 4000 calories in 7 miles and then it stopped recording the distance I had run. It was raining but I think this is all connected to the sleeve of my running top swiping the screen and changing settings as I ran - hope so anyway!).
I can't seem to change my text alert the tick is next to my new alert when i try to change it but the old alert still sounds when i recieve a text, any ideas?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the weather app on my 16G, and while I get weather updates every hour when I am just wearing the device, when I am in workout mode, I do not get the hourly weather updates consistently until I stop the workout. This isn't right is it? I should get the weather updates every hour regardless of mode.
Since there is no thermo on the Motoactv, I like to know the local temp while on long training rides.
I have tried several times to setup my Samsung Droid Charge and get it to connect to MOTOACTV. Every time I have run the smartphone setup and run MOTOACTVon my phone, I select the motoactv on through the app and it says to pair. The pairing codes on the phone and the device match and I select the "pair" option on motoactv and the "allow" option on the phone. The message stating to allow bluetooth pairing remains on the screen and I am not allowed to go through any further options. Finally this evening it let me through the options to allow calls, etc

I still get weather and facebook though. I did check my motoactv app to make sure the boxes were still checked to receive the notifications.

I could not see any results for my search, or any notification of 'No Results'.That being said, my real question is about Gmail and Gtalk notifications. I get notifications of calls and texts, but no Gmail or Gtalk. I figure if the DuraMax and DuraCore can change the sounds, we should be able to. They have like 6 or 7 changeable chirps in the event you don't like a loud beep. I personally would like a subtle tone when I have my ear piece in driving down the road or when I'm at work. An 80dB blast to the eardrum at 4000 Hz kind of stings.

When I travel and change time zones events in my calendar shift, which can be a problem with flight times etc that are always set up in local time and then suddenly appear 1, 2 or 3 hours earlier in my calendar. How do I turn off that feature?

I would book theatre tickets in New York at 8pm and put that in my calendar. When my BB Curve updates the time to New York time from South African time, all my appointments also change by the 7 hour difference.
Is there a way of keeping the calendar entries at the entered time when the phone updates it's time zone. This also happens when updating the time manually on the phone.

Before I did the workout I noticed that it had me starting at 4:00 AM. I have no problem getting up early--but I'm not doing any workout at 4:00 AM. I usually start between 7:30 - 8:00 AM. Is there a way to adjust that?
When the workout synced it showed up as just a run and still has me listed for another workout today. In another words it recognized my workout but not as part of the traning plan. I don't think I need to run two of those a day--one is enough! Is there any way to correct that?
how to change the Motoactv device to show miles instead of km? I cannot figure it out and I've searched online and through the manual. I have figured out how to do it on the Motoactv website where you can schedule workouts and view your information.... but I just cannot get the units changed on the device.
