I need to get my Motoactv notifications delimiters of SMS messages, but also phone calls (even without the involvement of headphones ), email, twitter , etc. Will it ever work ?
View 5 RepliesI have the weather app on my 16G, and while I get weather updates every hour when I am just wearing the device, when I am in workout mode, I do not get the hourly weather updates consistently until I stop the workout. This isn't right is it? I should get the weather updates every hour regardless of mode.
Since there is no thermo on the Motoactv, I like to know the local temp while on long training rides.
I have tried several times to setup my Samsung Droid Charge and get it to connect to MOTOACTV. Every time I have run the smartphone setup and run MOTOACTVon my phone, I select the motoactv on through the app and it says to pair. The pairing codes on the phone and the device match and I select the "pair" option on motoactv and the "allow" option on the phone. The message stating to allow bluetooth pairing remains on the screen and I am not allowed to go through any further options. Finally this evening it let me through the options to allow calls, etc

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had my Actv for a while now and haven't had a problem till recently. I'm not getting notifications on it anymore regarding phone calls, text messages, or reminders. I still get weather and facebook though. I did check my motoactv app to make sure the boxes were still checked to receive the notifications.

I could not see any results for my search, or any notification of 'No Results'.That being said, my real question is about Gmail and Gtalk notifications. I get notifications of calls and texts, but no Gmail or Gtalk. I have the app installed on my android phone (running ICS) and the device is paired properly (indicated by both the app and the fact that the two other notifications work properly).

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I recieve a text message with a picture in it, I get no notification. However, once I happen to see the text and download the picture, then the phone makes the notification sound and adds the new message to the notification bar.
I think it should happen in the opposite order.
I am wondering if others are having the same issue. Sometimes when I receive a text message on my MA it is completely blank. They are even plain text messages. Let me explain. I have received text messages with special characters in the message and the MA displays a "?" where those characters are. When I receive a message that contains a picture those do not get sent to the MA (and I am more then okay with that). But for some reason when I get certain text messages the display shows up all white and I am unable to see anything when trying to open the message on the MA. I can't even delete it.

MA: System Version 4.55.76
EDIT: I have upgraded to the latest version of the OS for the MA and now get some feedback saying that a message could not be synced but I still wonder why some are able to be synced while others cannot be.
My defy is not telling me when I get facebook messages I have it synced up to motoblur so it should tell me but it doesn't, even my gmail which is set up to receive facebook notifications doesn't. This phone just doesn't seem to do what it is suppose to.

I use google voice as my texting service.I've only had the Motoactv for 2 days and I am extremely happy with this device. I will be going on my first run today.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOne of the things I thought would be really amazing about having a Motoactv would be to check text messages without having to take my phone out of my pocket or backpack if I was on my motorcycle (not while moving.) Unfortunately I cannot seem to receive any of them on my Motoactv. I use a Droid X2 and use Handcent as my text messaging client. Is anyone else having similar issues??

I just click "try again" on the first message, then I click past the second message and then it works, but it seems odd. View 14 Replies View RelatedI've owned the MotoActv for two month, I got the mysterious "moisture issues" that everyone seems to be getting even though I've never used it in the rain. But the thing that is driving me nuts is the music. When I hit random shuffle of all my songs, I hear songs I don't want to hear... song that I do not own on my computer. Where are these songs coming from? Today I heard "Boot Scoot Boogie!" I abhore country music as does my wife. Doing a computer wide search shows no evidence that the song exists on my computer. Yet there it is playing in mile four. Other mystery songs have showed up too. The performance music playlist seems to be filled with songs I never heard of, yet evidently I perform well to them.

I've had it for 2 years, no problems, till the last few weeks.About 3 weeks ago, I stopped getting any messages or notifications from FB on my blackberry. Don't know how to fix that.I also cannot delete notifications I did get back to 9/27.I cannot erase my messages. It was erasing all of them just fine, then it was deleting current ones.Now its not deleting any. I have messages on my phone going back to 9/27. I've had this problem a few times here and there, but if I turned it off, took battery out and put back in and turned back on, it'd let me do it.I can't find anything on this website to help either problem. I am able to get an upgraded phone, but can't afford it right now. And even when I can, not so sure it'll be a blackberry. I really don't understand all the technical mumble jumble.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI suddenly stopped receiving notifications for text messages. I don't get sounds, the flashing green light or notifications at the top of my screen.
I have already tried going into settings > notifications and checked the "receive notification" and "play notification sound" boxes. I've chosen a notification sound with the volume up. None of this seems to work and i'm not sure why.
As of about a week ago, I have started receiving only about 10% of the messages and notifications from facebook that I used to receive to my Blackberry. 90% of the messages and notifications now just get stuck in facebook and I only see them when I log into fb through my laptop.
As of the last week, every once in a while I will receive some facebook message or notification to my blackberry, but the majority don't make it to my Blackberry and instead just stay on facebook until I open the site on my laptop.
Anyone one know how I can be notified for only call and text messages - How I can turn off email and Facebook notifications only?

I am a newbie to Galaxy phones or android for that matter. I am trying to make my sounds for messages, emails, and notifications different but if I change the notification sound it changes all of them. If I change the messages sound it changes the notification sound also.
While I have figured out how to get the sound for individual contacts I cannot find the way to get this to work.
