How do I do this? I can delete my emails and texts from my messages, but can't work out how to delete BB FB notifications that I no longer want there, as they clutter it up a bit after a while.

My Bold 9700 will not give me the option to delete facebook notifications and other mail messages from facebook from my mailbox(Hotmail) and my Bold 9700. I can only delete facebook messages on my device and then I have to go onto my Hotmail separately to delete emails.All other emails delete on both Hotmail and Bold 9700.Anyone who can tell me a way to delete facebook emails and notifications on my bold and hotmail at the same time will be a great help?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI get constant email, and would prefer to have my blackberry set so I don't see any notification icons visually for facebook and email. Currently, I have to click 'mark prior unopened' in order to erase the yellow mail icon with the red star -- so that the icon doesn't show up in the status bar.
I'd prefer to not see this notification at all. Same with facebook notifications. Haven't found the settings for these.
Is there any way to set the Bold 9700 so I don't see any visual notifications for email?
Hey guys. It seems like sometimes my phone lags or freezes for a little bit when I delete a message. It definitely does it when I delete a SMS that isn't that short. Anyone else having issues with that and any resolutions?

I recieve emails without no problem phone beeps to say that i have a new email. Is anyone else having this problem with facebook.
View 7 Replies View RelatedOk so besides the inaccurate timestamp issue that they haven't fixed yet, I'm also having an issue when deleting messages. The first time I select and delete a message from the VVM folder it doesn't actually delete the message from my voicemail and if I call VM it is still listed as an unheard message. So then I manually reconcile in the VVM folder and the previously deleted message comes back and it's not till I delete it the second time that it actually removes it from the voicemail system.

View 3 Replies View RelatedA hard reset (remove the battery while the BB is on) seems to have worked. I say seemed since it has been reported on this board that it may return when the "service books" are updated...I'm new to BBs. I just purchased it today and against my better judgment installed FAcebook (FB). After getting a deluge of mindless drivel pushed to my new BB I decided FB was not coming near my BB again.So I found the icon - menu - delete. I restart the BB as instructed and to my surprise the icon is still there.I tried to move the icon into a folder but I don't know how to move it because the menu button does nothing when I select the icon and press menu.
And there are some FB messages too. I deleted the FB messages - when I check my messages it reports I have no messages in FB ... BUT there is a little FB icon at the top of the screen showing one message. This one message seems to be relic but I have no idea how to reset or delete it.I also tried the BB desktop software. It shows that it is uninstalled. There appears to be no way of deleting icon, moving the icon, or deleting the FB message indicator either.
I am new to the forum, and I am very frustrated with my phone. I've had it for 2 years, no problems, till the last few weeks.About 3 weeks ago, I stopped getting any messages or notifications from FB on my blackberry. Don't know how to fix that.I also cannot delete notifications I did get back to 9/27.I cannot erase my messages. It was erasing all of them just fine, then it was deleting current ones.Now its not deleting any. I have messages on my phone going back to 9/27. I've had this problem a few times here and there, but if I turned it off, took battery out and put back in and turned back on, it'd let me do it.I can't find anything on this website to help either problem. I am able to get an upgraded phone, but can't afford it right now. And even when I can, not so sure it'll be a blackberry. I really don't understand all the technical mumble jumble.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Bold 9700 on the 3 Mobile network. I only have one email account setup, and it is a Gmail account. I use Facebook for Blackberry.So here's my problem - a few days ago I checked my Blackberry Bold 9700 and saw that I had received 28 email messages and 8 Facebook notifications.However none of these emails or Facebook notifications was new. They were all ones I had already received that day.
I deleted them all, and guess what - an hour later and they all came back into my email inbox and Facebook notifications.When I went to sleep that night, I woke up with 136 emails and 26 Facebook notifications - ALL OF THEM THE SAME REPEAT EMAILS OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
I have been on forums and tried removing my battery and SIM card (not very technical, that) as well as resending the Service Books after doing this. Nothing has solved this problem though.I really hope someone can help please as I'm seriously thinking of ditching my BlackBerry and buying an iPhone where this problem doesn't occur.
I have been trying since Saturday to deleat about 50 messages on my phone that are not deleating. I have tried clearing cashe from Fb APP.I have restarted phone. Nothing is working at all.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAs of about a week ago, I have started receiving only about 10% of the messages and notifications from facebook that I used to receive to my Blackberry. 90% of the messages and notifications now just get stuck in facebook and I only see them when I log into fb through my laptop.
As of the last week, every once in a while I will receive some facebook message or notification to my blackberry, but the majority don't make it to my Blackberry and instead just stay on facebook until I open the site on my laptop.
My defy is not telling me when I get facebook messages I have it synced up to motoblur so it should tell me but it doesn't, even my gmail which is set up to receive facebook notifications doesn't. This phone just doesn't seem to do what it is suppose to.

Whereas in the previous OS, I had a choice of deleting messages on the handheld only or on both the handheld and my computer, I now only get an option to delete which removes the message from the handheld but not from my computer. Is there an option which enables the delete to remove a message from the handheld and the computer? Is there also a way to maintain the ability to delete only from the handheld?

Upon first getting used to the keys on my 9700, I would accidentally delete all the text I had just type in my SMS texts. I could have been pressing multiple buttons due to my bulky bodyglove that I have on it, but I've tried everything: pressing Delete twice really fast, holding the Delete key down, pressing the Delete key down while pressing the surrounding keys down...everything. Now that I want the whole field cleared, I can't figure out how it did it when I didn't intend to do it initially.Anyone know what to do, aside from going to the Menu and pressing Clear Field? I was only "backspacing" at the time I was fixing character typos, and somehow it managed to delete the whole field.
View 9 Replies View RelatedPlease could you help. I recently upgraded to a blackberry bold 9700.Since doing this, I have been experiencing problems accessing my BBM message history. On my old Blackberry curve, I could see all my bbm message history and I had a 1GB media card. Now I have a 2 GB media card, and when I ask for the history to be saved on the media card, it wipes all the history., If I set it to save on the device memory, then it saves the message for 2 days, then deletes it. Please could you tell me what to do in order to resolve this issue? I have tried battery pulls, deleting applications that I do not use, deleting all emails, deleting all sms. My current device memory is 95% free. I cannot work out what is goin gon and am desperate to be able to save my message history.
