BB Curve :: Deleting Facebook Icon And Facebook Messages?
Mar 17, 2012
A hard reset (remove the battery while the BB is on) seems to have worked. I say seemed since it has been reported on this board that it may return when the "service books" are updated...I'm new to BBs. I just purchased it today and against my better judgment installed FAcebook (FB). After getting a deluge of mindless drivel pushed to my new BB I decided FB was not coming near my BB again. So I found the icon - menu - delete. I restart the BB as instructed and to my surprise the icon is still there.I tried to move the icon into a folder but I don't know how to move it because the menu button does nothing when I select the icon and press menu.
And there are some FB messages too. I deleted the FB messages - when I check my messages it reports I have no messages in FB ... BUT there is a little FB icon at the top of the screen showing one message. This one message seems to be relic but I have no idea how to reset or delete it.I also tried the BB desktop software. It shows that it is uninstalled. There appears to be no way of deleting icon, moving the icon, or deleting the FB message indicator either.
I have been trying since Saturday to deleat about 50 messages on my phone that are not deleating. I have tried clearing cashe from Fb APP.I have restarted phone. Nothing is working at all.
When I updated Facebook the Facebook Icon stopped working. I tried to delete it but a messege came up say Facebook already scheduled for deletion. Deletion will occur when handheld is restarted. How do I restart the handheld device? I have an 8520 v5
The facebook icon is permanently on my screen telling me I have 2 unread messages, but I haven't? How can I get rid of them? I have de-installed and re-installed FB but no joy!
How do I do this? I can delete my emails and texts from my messages, but can't work out how to delete BB FB notifications that I no longer want there, as they clutter it up a bit after a while.
I upgraded from a 822 to Icon, and the only complaint i have is how i get facebook messages through the default text/message app.
On the 822 it would be almost instantaneous, maybe 1 minute max after getting it on my desktop browser. Now i will usually get them hours upwards of 12, later.
Im trying to log into facebook on my blackberry curve 8530. And keep telling me a connection cannot be established to the facebook server. Ive tried restarting the phone, taking the battery out and all.
1st- When I want to use the facebook through the Facebook Icon (Application) of my BB Curve 9380 phone, sometimes it will be connected and after a few seconds it will cut off. but when i use the browser button to use facebook, it will never cut off. Now, what i want is to fix that application, since i want to use that application compare than using the browser button. Additional: Everytime i get disconnected and when i log in back, here it says to me: if you want to use this application, please call your serivce provider to update your data plan or connect your device to a Wi-Fi connection, ("which i'm already connected").
2nd- My BBM. its not working, I added my friends already,20 of them, and they didnt received request, i gave to them my bar code, and pin, and they invited me, but i dont receive any request.
I was playing around with my blackberry curve and then my facebook icon dissapered, i have tried reinstalling and turning my phone on and off and its not working, i might have hidden the icon, if i have what can i do to get it back ?
i have downloaded facebook on my bb and it is the download folder.how do i put the facebook icon onto the main screen so i dont have to go round the world to access it.
The facebook icon is not appearing on the home screen. I have deleted the facebook app, downloaded it again, removed the battery, resent service books, re-registered my Blackberry. Nothing works.
i have just purchased a curve 8520 and would like to be able to put some of the other icons on my standby screen (think thats what its called ) i dont know how to
My Facebook icon in the 'notification view' bar across the homepage has vanished. I must've changed a setting somewhere, but not in Facebook for BB or Facebook online. I've opened facebook in Setup, and things seem okay there.
I have blackberry curve 8900 OS5 and Facebook latest version 3.2.0.12, and when I am log in to facebook with blackberry via wifi I don't have in chat that mobile icon like all my other friends who are using facebook mobile too, only green dot like when you are connected with PC. Can it be because i don't have bis/bes account?

Why does my facebook application not always send me notifications of facebook messages I have received?I get most of my normal notifications but hardly ever get the notifications of a facebook inbox message.
I have some facebook messages stuck on my handset, I deleted them from facebook, but they will not delete from the handset. Newer messages have been deleted, but not the older ones and I need to know how to remove them.I have a Curve 3G on O2 network.
My curve still has posts and messages etc. from facebook that were deleted from my computer. Why r they still there? I cant delete, move or hide. i'm sick of seeing them everytime i get a new message. not to mention the strain on the battery!
how i delete a post from facebook. for example. if i post something on someones wall then i want to delete it how do i do it and if they post things on my wall how do i delete that.
I have tried now for several weeks to delete messages on my Facebook app. When I return to the mailbox on facebook, the emails keep coming back. What is the issue that will not allow them to be permenantly deleted and it continues to reload the messages
Ever wondered how to delete the facebook notifications that are choking up your message folder and why your BB is moving slow?Well..Every action on your BB is logged, which in time will slow your bb down...At least once a week, hold ALT key and press LGLG (the letters) while on your home screen. You will see the logs. Then click the Blackberry menu button and select "clear log" this keeps phone moving 100% faster
My Bold 9700 will not give me the option to delete facebook notifications and other mail messages from facebook from my mailbox(Hotmail) and my Bold 9700. I can only delete facebook messages on my device and then I have to go onto my Hotmail separately to delete emails. All other emails delete on both Hotmail and Bold 9700.Anyone who can tell me a way to delete facebook emails and notifications on my bold and hotmail at the same time will be a great help?
My phone has stopped receiving emails and Facebook updates from the Facebook app!! How do I fix this? Receving emails is a big part of the Blackberry's function.
I was uploading pictures to facebook using the facebook app, and my photos froze, so I didn't know how to cancel them so I turned off my phone. After that I turned it back on and went to upload the pictures again and I seen Iron Man 2 pictures there, so I went to my galley to check it out and they were there. Five pictures I think, I can't remember I deleted them, they were pretty small. Anyone else have this or an idea of what happened? They weren't on there before I turned my phone off?
I have tried all I know in finding the facebook icon both on the home screen and folders in my device to no avail. Although if I go to options and applications, I see it is installed properly.Any ideas?Device model No. 9700Mobile provider: airtelOS release:v5.0.0.405.
