The facebook icon is not appearing on the home screen. I have deleted the facebook app, downloaded it again, removed the battery, resent service books, re-registered my Blackberry. Nothing works.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had two Blackberry, but I'm new to the community. I traded my Pearl for the Curve 8330 a couple of days ago. The new message icon is constantly showing up. It started with three, then four, and now six. I have read several forums and have tried pulling my battery several times. I have even deleted my e-mail account and set it up again. I have gone into all my folders to see if there is a message hiding somewhere. I can't find anything. Has anyone else had this problem? Aside from doing a factory restore and/or calling Verizon does anyone have any suggestions on how I can reset the counter? By the way, my carrier is Verizon!

I have just deleted the Facebook application that came preinstalled on the Bold 9930. After restarting the phone, the FB icon is still on the screen but an error is displayed if the icon is tapped. How to delete the icon as well?

View 8 Replies View Relatedi have just updated the o/s on my blackberry curve today (v5.0.0.681).i have a work exchange email, and i have also added my personal mail account via Setup / Email Settings - the new additional mail address is visible, and i have received an email from the Activation Server confirming, i am also receiving mails from both email addresses.the issue is that the icon for the extra mailbox is not appearing on the home screen, or in any of the folders (up until the o/s upgrade i had no issues and it was always visible) I have taken the battery in and out - any other suggestions?

Checked the Help Section and could only find out how to lock or unlock screen manually. Checked the instruction booklet that came with it....again no help. Searched through the BB Curve Demo online - still nothing about adding back the icon. It was so easy just to push that button and not have to worry about the keys in my pocket or purse.....how do i get it back? If I dont want it back I wont install updates any longer because I found I had ro reset things back the way I wanted them to.....moving icons from folders to home screen etc....please tell me there is a way to get this back....just bought this BB in June and first one i have owned and have come to find it difficult to do without..

Switched back to "Standard Mode", but found my home screen gone, with a blank page in it's place. I found some directions on how to move pages around, making one a home screen. I selected the page I wanted as home screen and moved it to the page where the white house icon is highlighted. I was done but noticed nothing had changed. Home page still blank, so I did it again. I find that whenever I try creating my home screen page by moving it to the highlighted white house icon, the white house icon shifts to the left, remaining blank.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Curve 8520, and suddenly tonight, I have a read message icon on the home screen that won't go away. I have no emails or messages at all on my phone anymore, and I cleared the messages from the advanced tab thingy on the desktop manager. I've done a battery pull, turned it off and waited a few minutes before turning it back on, and nothing has worked. I even tried sending a text message to my phone from my husband's, and it showed up as 2 messages on the icon, but when I deleted that new text msg, it went back down to 1 read message and is still there.

They have to scroll down to see the newest emails. I have the 8310 and have not been able to locate any options to prevent or correct this. Has anyone run across this before and if so, how can this be corrected?
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy work Blackberry 8330, using Lotus Notes for email, will take an email I respond to, and within a minute or so of responding to that original email, the original email reverts to "unread" status. This happens every time. It is not "New, Unread", only "Unread". Emails replied to on my PC do not have the same effect on my Blackberry. Is this a setting issue or just one of those things we have to live with?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI use Sprint and everytime I miss a call the Messages icon appears and does not disappear until I open the messages folder and open the missed call message. This is incredibly annoying for me, as I usually just press the send key and see what calls I have missed. Doing this does not clear the messages icon or notification.
I really dont need missed calls sent to Messages, the only reason I ever use the Messages folder is to clear the icon from my screen.Can anyone help me either disable this icon or alter what is sent to Messages?
I currently have a Blackberry 8330, v4.5.0.186 (Platform 3.4.0.59).I used to be prompted to delete emails off both my blackberry and my home computer's Windows Mail. I think after updating the Blackberry, this option was no longer available, which requires me to read emails on my Blackberry and then to have to delete them off my home computer.
Does anyone know of a way that I can restore this function to my Blackberry?
My phone icon disapeared from the icon tray on home screen into the application folder. I can not figure out how to put it back on the bottom icon tray on home screen. I also just updated my phone today. Not sure if that has something to do with it.
