My phone has stopped receiving emails and Facebook updates from the Facebook app!! How do I fix this? Receving emails is a big part of the Blackberry's function.
View 7 RepliesI've developed a problem with my 9630 (carrier: Sprint) recently. I won't receive emails on it for quite a while, but once I open my Internet browser, all of the emails I received since the last time I opened it will come through at once. If I check my messages, they're all listed as coming through at the same time, but inside the email, they're datestamped at the actual time they were sent.
Any ideas as to what it could be? I haven't changed any settings recently, the problem started independent of anything else, from what I can tell. It seems like a problem with my phone not checking for new emails until it uses data services (internet browser).
I changed my number because I moved, and now I am not receiving email or facebook updates. I can "send" emails etc but nothing comes to my phone. What do I need to do to fix this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedThursday I didn't get any emails from my external email accounts (Yahoo, Hotmail, Work) until 11:40PM Pacific then I got a whole days worth. Since then I haven't received anything.My phone works, text messaging works, the brower works, I can see the emails when I go to the websites on the PC or BB Browser. Facebook (no notifications though because they come through email) and Twitter apps work.I sent a test email from my BB from my yahoo account to my hotmail account and it did send.I have taken the battery out and restarted it. There arent any errors or anything I'm just not receiving the emails.

When I try to remove this Facebook tells me I have to do it from the phone. I no longer have this phone and do not even have a BlackBerry any longer and have no way of doing this. Under my Friends Page where my phonebook is the BlackBerry application is there. The only answers Facebook gives me are that it has to be deleted from the phone itself but again I can not do that
View 4 Replies View RelatedRecently got my hands on a unlocked 9630 from a Sprint buddy. Everything works browser, txt, MMS, calls, even my weather app. Just every time I try to log into Facebook, it tells me "Could not connect because a data service is not available. Please try again later. If this continues, contact your service provider for support".I came from a Tmo BB Curve so the service was already there. I re-registered on the BB network, resent the service books from the web and from my phone, did hard re-starts, went online to My Tmobile and updated the IMEI. I uninstalled the app from the phone, performed a hard reset, then reinstalled the app from the Blackberry App Store.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo, I've had my Tour for around 8 to 9 months now. its worked pretty well overall. I put it in a Seidio innocase right when I got it and got the matching dock so I can charge it in the case.About 2 weeks ago, it just wouldn't charge on the dock anymore. I can plug it in, and it charges fine.Noone else I know has a Tour so I can't see if theirs will charge on my dock. I can only say that the dock hasn't left my end table in months, hasn't been dropped, and likely isn't the issue.Has anyone else had this happen on the Tour?I'm less than 1 yr with the Tour, but I've NEVER bought the insurance through Verizon. Do, I have ANY recourse here?I believe the last time I investigated the coverage, I understood that there was nearly no reason to have insurance becasue the phone has a year warranty from the manuf, but I must go through Verizon to do anything.I wanna have my ducks in a row before going forward.I also bought the phone on my Amex bluecash which extends my warranties up to an additional year, so if I can find documentation that the phone has a year warranty with RIM, then in another couple months I can make a claim on my AMEX, of course they would only cover what I paid for it which I believe was 100, or maybe 150 as far my card charges show.Not sure which way to go with this.If there is something I can take apart and fix inside, I'm not against attempting that but I dunno what it could be.
View 10 Replies View Relatedmy BB Tour stopped recognizing the contact alerts I set up. Verizon the cell carrier wasn't any help. I have deleted and reset. Shutdown the phone including disconnecting the battery-nothing helps. Does anyone know how to fix? Phone is a week old-New.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to support nearly 100 Blackberries (mostly the Tour), and any wireless update breaks the phones with various results: anywhere from just deleting the email sync settings (all carriers) all the way to the phone unable to make/receive calls (just T-Mobile for the lack of calling, Verizon or AT&T seem unaffected thus far). We do *not* use a BES server, however, if that's what is needed, I'm certainly willing to go there. If and when an update is needed (by our standards), I will perform them. I really don't want anything coming from Blackberry, ever. I instruct users to hide the update icon, however, they always say it eventually comes back and keeps prompting to install the update. To rid themselves of the annoyance, they do the update, break the phone, then have the greater annoyance of waiting until I can get the phone fixed.
View 6 Replies View Relatedi have a problem with my arc handset. me and my girlfriend both have the arc with andriod 2.3.3. the problem is if someone writes on my partners wall on facebook she recieves a notification on the notification bar on the top of the phone, however mine does not. ive reinstalled facebook app on the phone and even reinstalled the whole phone from scratch. ive gone through all settings to make sure there all the same and im at my wites end.

Slowly one by one it seems that ppl are starting to lose there photo and its not updating contact information with facebook anymore. Is there a glitch going on with fb and moto? This began after activating my new Lumia 900 on AT&T. My Xperia x10 mini pro no longer gets facebook updates/notifications. Timsecape is on, txts and missed calls are there, everything is ticked and it is set up for media but no facebook updates......

When I woke up, it was completely dead!No usb cord I have works to charge it, there is no red led lit up when I insert the battery. just nothing. It doesn't connect to the computer, jl_cmder wont connect, and app load wont connect using the trick if jl_cmder doesn't work.I got it first when it came out, or just a few days after, and it was fine. One night I dropped it and some water got in and set off the water sticker inside, but like I said it worked fine nothing happened to it. On the battery, the white sticker with the red line is completely faded to almost just a white sticker?? Is this sticker a heat sensitive one?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded my wife's OS on her VZW Tour to the latest official release. Since then she has been having problems with her work email.
She is on BIS but has her blackberry account set up with her company's Exchange server. Until the upgrade everything was fine. Now, however, most if not all of her work emails are arriving blank. All her other email accounts come through fine. If she forwards the work emails to another account they read fine. If she even forwards the work email back to her blackberry from the same email account the text of the email will appear as well. These are all internal emails within the company. Not HTML based. Text and possibly an attachment (attachments show up fine). I have checked her settings and nothing has changed. I am curious as to whether or not her employers email server may not be compatible with the new OS.
I am a little perplexed and cannot figure out what the deal is.
I'm not receiving any notification of voice-mails.People leave me voicemails, but the Tour doesn't notify me of them. I do not have visual voice mail -- this is just plain ol' voicemail. I don't get texts notifying me of VM, either, but I'm not sure I'm set up to receive text notifications, so I'm less concerned about that.
I've been notified before that there is a new voicemail for me, and after that there was a little icon up near the email and text message icons until I listened to it. I don't get either of these any longer -- not the big notification or even the little icon with the number beside it. I don't know exactly when or why these have stopped.How can I get VM notifications back?
