My Facebook icon in the 'notification view' bar across the homepage has vanished. I must've changed a setting somewhere, but not in Facebook for BB or Facebook online. I've opened facebook in Setup, and things seem okay there.

When I updated my Photon I now have a gray borig @ sign icon. Where is the other icon? That seems to come if you set up email with another provider (I was initially using comcast). I tried creating comcast account again but it did not change the icon.
Is there a way to get that notifiacation icon back? Obviusly it can be done without being root.
I only go on facebook every now and then on my phone and I have before and got the notification and was able to delete them. Tonight when I clicked on the 10fb icon, nothing shows...?

View 2 Replies View RelatedA hard reset (remove the battery while the BB is on) seems to have worked. I say seemed since it has been reported on this board that it may return when the "service books" are updated...I'm new to BBs. I just purchased it today and against my better judgment installed FAcebook (FB). After getting a deluge of mindless drivel pushed to my new BB I decided FB was not coming near my BB again.So I found the icon - menu - delete. I restart the BB as instructed and to my surprise the icon is still there.I tried to move the icon into a folder but I don't know how to move it because the menu button does nothing when I select the icon and press menu.
And there are some FB messages too. I deleted the FB messages - when I check my messages it reports I have no messages in FB ... BUT there is a little FB icon at the top of the screen showing one message. This one message seems to be relic but I have no idea how to reset or delete it.I also tried the BB desktop software. It shows that it is uninstalled. There appears to be no way of deleting icon, moving the icon, or deleting the FB message indicator either.
When I unlock my phone, there is no notification bar where it usually displays BBMs, App updates etc. The bar that contains this has disappeared and I cannot see my notifications. I don't know where the setting for this thing is or how to fix it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was going through sms messages deleting them, whilst doing this it started to not show any more texts, when there were a lot more, so I went away from the message menu. I tried to click back onto the texts and it wouldn't let me, so I rebooted the phone by taking the battery out. When I turned the phone back on the sms message icon and other sms menus have all disappeared. I can write a text but not send it, and I cant receive them!

I've looked in IM folder, apprlications and downloadswith no luck. I've taken out the battery and restarted the phone so many times and has not worked. When I look in my list of APPS, it is showing that I have BB messenger installed but then when I click on it, all I see is Reviews, Recommend and Screenshots. I have tried to see if I can uninstall it and then download it all over, but I've not been able to do that either. I tried working with my carrier's tech support without luck.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHad quite a few issues after upgrading my BB to OS4.5, just when I thought everything is working correctly, the Memo Pad icon disappeared. It is neither hidden nor in any folder, I checked everywhere. The funny thing is, it is still syncing with Lotus Notes, so it's hidden somewhere. Wiped BB clean twice, and it will be back; however, once I installed the third party applications, WorldMate, Google Map, and CallingCardDialer, the Memo Pad disappeared again. I could do a Search and find the memo, but just can't find the icon.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently took charge of a Blackberry Curve 8520 - I noticed that after I had linked it to my PC via Blackberry Desktop Manager, the icon for the keyboard lock was removed from the menu. I've looked in the obvious places in Options to try and re-instate the icon but can't seem to see anywhere which allow me to do ths. I've also searched for hidden items but nothing seems to be hidden.
