My daughter has a Blackberry Curve. After taking the battery out yesterday and putting it back in her BBM icon has disappeared and she fears that she has lost all her BBM contacts. How does she get this back?
Im not 100% sure what happened to it, today I got a brand new 9300 and I connected it to my wi-fi connection and I visited a few pages, after that I put my sim card into it topped my phone up and connected my phone to the BIS as I only set up the BIS today I have to wait for upto 24 hours for it to work, in this space of time my browser icon has dissapeared completely it still appears in Core Applications but I have looked in every folder i have and cannot find it or how I could get it back?
I was going through sms messages deleting them, whilst doing this it started to not show any more texts, when there were a lot more, so I went away from the message menu. I tried to click back onto the texts and it wouldn't let me, so I rebooted the phone by taking the battery out. When I turned the phone back on the sms message icon and other sms menus have all disappeared. I can write a text but not send it, and I cant receive them!
i downloaded a new version of BB Appworld a couple days ago and since then my BBM icon and contacts have disappeared. I've looked in IM folder, apprlications and downloadswith no luck. I've taken out the battery and restarted the phone so many times and has not worked. When I look in my list of APPS, it is showing that I have BB messenger installed but then when I click on it, all I see is Reviews, Recommend and Screenshots. I have tried to see if I can uninstall it and then download it all over, but I've not been able to do that either. I tried working with my carrier's tech support without luck.
After OS6 was downloaded and installed on my Curve 9300, the Maps icon dissappeared.Using the Desktop Software, in the list of installed applications Maps is listed.
Had quite a few issues after upgrading my BB to OS4.5, just when I thought everything is working correctly, the Memo Pad icon disappeared. It is neither hidden nor in any folder, I checked everywhere. The funny thing is, it is still syncing with Lotus Notes, so it's hidden somewhere. Wiped BB clean twice, and it will be back; however, once I installed the third party applications, WorldMate, Google Map, and CallingCardDialer, the Memo Pad disappeared again. I could do a Search and find the memo, but just can't find the icon.
i have had my curve 8520 for only 2 days i had bbm icon and was using bbm up until this morning when i turned my phone on to find the icon had gone and i cn o longer get on bbm. can anyone help. i have tried some things people have said like take the battery out but nothing has worked.
I have downloaded an upgrade onto my 8520. After doing so, I am unable to lock the keys cos the icon has disappeared. The only other thing that I know has disappeared is my Twitter application.
I was playing around with my blackberry curve and then my facebook icon dissapered, i have tried reinstalling and turning my phone on and off and its not working, i might have hidden the icon, if i have what can i do to get it back ?
I recently took charge of a Blackberry Curve 8520 - I noticed that after I had linked it to my PC via Blackberry Desktop Manager, the icon for the keyboard lock was removed from the menu. I've looked in the obvious places in Options to try and re-instate the icon but can't seem to see anywhere which allow me to do ths. I've also searched for hidden items but nothing seems to be hidden.
I just plugged my blackberry into my computer so I could try syncing my music. In the process, the icon to lock the keypad disappeared from my home folder. I need it desperately because I always call rando people when the phone is in my purse. How do I reinstall this?
I've had my Blackberry for a few weeks and it's been fine, however the battery went flat yesterday and when I recharged it and switched it back on the text message icon had dissappeared, so I have no way of seeing text messages. I also don't seem to be receiving texts now either!
Since I updated to 5.00681 the keyboard lock icon has disappeared.I have looked into all the other applications without result But did I not buy that with my new unupdated phone? Or can I do some thing in desk top manager to get KBL icon back?
I posted a description of a problem I'm having on another BlackBerry forum, and although several suggestions have been offered, no solution has been achieved. Thought I'd try the CrackBerry community to see if I can get the problem solved. After installing updated BlackBerry desktop and device software yesterday, the arrangement of icons on my screen had changed, so I was moving them around to be in the desired locations. In the process of moving the Turn Power Off icon, it simply disappeared instead of showing up in the new location. A responder suggested that it might be hidden and to try Show All. I had no Show All option - just Move, Hide, Add Folder, and Switch Application. Another suggestion was that I might have moved the missing icon to a folder. I have three subordinate folders, and it's not in any of them. It's also no longer on the main "desktop". The next responder said to try a battery pull. That had no effect, and the icon was still missing. The next suggestion was interesting - switch to a different theme, see if the Turn Power Off icon is there, and then switch back to the original theme. I've been using the Verizon theme, so following the suggestion I switched to the BB Dimension Icon theme.
Guess what - a Turn Power Off icon showed up, along with the other icons that were completely scrambled compared to the way I had organized them with the Verizon theme (and there were no subordinate folders). I clicked the icon to power down and then powered up again. The BB Dimension Icon theme was still active, and a Turn Power Off icon was still present. Next I switched back to the Verizon theme. There was no Turn Power Off icon to be found anywhere. I am ready for another suggestion. Can a theme become corrupted? If so, is there a way to refresh it?

My Facebook icon in the 'notification view' bar across the homepage has vanished. I must've changed a setting somewhere, but not in Facebook for BB or Facebook online. I've opened facebook in Setup, and things seem okay there.
How do I get my email password cause I can receive e-mail but it goes into my messages box and not like it use to be. I had a email icon which also disappeared.
Each time my phone has to restart or reboot, my email icon which is AOL(green envelope w/ a blue AOL/logo @ bottom of envelope) disappears and the standard icon appears in home screen. Before to get it back, i go to email setup and delete it then add it back, then AOL icon returns. Now doing it the same way, my green AOL icon does not return anymore! just the standard one, can anybody help on how to get it back? Please!!Thanks!!

I recently upgraded 8520 handset to device software vers 5.0 - everything fine except that the icon I use the most - "Keyboard Lock" icon has disappeared. Looked all over - hidden icons etc - no luck.
I have a bb Curve 9360 and my text icon has disappeared from my home screen. I can no longer send or receive text messages. I looked on bb tech support page and it said something to do with turning 'fixed dialing" off. I cannot seem to access anything to get it back and working again.
