Im trying to log into facebook on my blackberry curve 8530. And keep telling me a connection cannot be established to the facebook server. Ive tried restarting the phone,taking the battery out and all.

I can connect to Facebok through the usual Yahoo, Google but not the Blackberry specific Icon. When I turn on my wireless device it will let me in through the Facebook Icon but not if wi-fi is switched off.

After the upgrade, I clicked my Facebook App and enter my email and password, and after clicking "login" I receive the message "We are unable to connect to the Facebook server at this time (0)".
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the App, and taken out an replaced the battery but it still won't work.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI got a new Curve 8520 just resently and have a problem with my internet connection. I use my Curve without data plan/bis. To go in the internet I use Opera 5.0 and for Emails logicmail. To connect to the internet, I changed my APN according to my provider setting:
apn: internet (thats for o2 Germany)
No authentification
Username/PW: blank
On the first day, everything worked just fine, Opera aswell as Logicmail. I also had a EDGE symbol in the upper right corner. On the second date I found, that Opera and logicmail would not connect via Wifi. So I started to play around with settings. Anyway, since then Opera and Logicmail refused to connect via EDGE, however Wifi worked.... I could not figure out the ressons, so I tried to undo my setting changes. And yesterday I was finally able to connect via EDGE again. And here is the funny thing: This morning, I got the same errors agian, when trying to connect via EDGE. I did not do anything with the phone last night, it just refuses to connect. It still shows me the edge sign, but opera always tells me, that it is unable to connect. I set the application application permisson for both programs to "prompt" under the point "internet" to see if the phone even tries to connect, but it does not. Wifi still works fine. It seems that my Blackberry forgot about EDGE and always wants to connect via wifi.Can anyone help me out here?

I turned it off and on again, but it would only fill up three quarters of the bar on the loading up screen. View 4 Replies View RelatedA hard reset (remove the battery while the BB is on) seems to have worked. I say seemed since it has been reported on this board that it may return when the "service books" are updated...I'm new to BBs. I just purchased it today and against my better judgment installed FAcebook (FB). After getting a deluge of mindless drivel pushed to my new BB I decided FB was not coming near my BB again.So I found the icon - menu - delete. I restart the BB as instructed and to my surprise the icon is still there.I tried to move the icon into a folder but I don't know how to move it because the menu button does nothing when I select the icon and press menu.
And there are some FB messages too. I deleted the FB messages - when I check my messages it reports I have no messages in FB ... BUT there is a little FB icon at the top of the screen showing one message. This one message seems to be relic but I have no idea how to reset or delete it.I also tried the BB desktop software. It shows that it is uninstalled. There appears to be no way of deleting icon, moving the icon, or deleting the FB message indicator either.
I have a BB 8520 Curve. I downloaded FB for Curve, but it doesn't work I don't have internet on my phone, so I only use it with wifi. I found a FB that is for this option (at least that is what I understood), version, I think 1.5. But when I downloaded it, it said that my phone doesn't have this option... How could I download a version that works?

I've tried upgrading the fb but it says my device isn't compatible or something like that. I have a 8520 curve, everyone else i know who has the same phone and network 02 can use theirs and its frustrating that I cant use something simple on it.
