I have a BB 8520 Curve. I downloaded FB for Curve, but it doesn't work I don't have internet on my phone, so I only use it with wifi. I found a FB that is for this option (at least that is what I understood), version, I think 1.5. But when I downloaded it, it said that my phone doesn't have this option... How could I download a version that works?

I am having problems with downloading the facebook app for blackberry curve 8520. When i go to the page where I download it they say that my device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Facebook.

* resetting the BB by removing the battery
* try different security settings for the WiFi, including disabling security
blackberry 8520 wont connect to the wifi unless my mobile network is off.... it will only connect to app world but nothing else.... also my bbm isnt working at all with the wifi even though i sent away my phone to get fixed because this was the same problem but they gave me a brand new blackberryhave rang my provider vodafone 7 or 8 times useless didnt fix anything... do i need credit for bbm or should it be working on wifi?... also with my phone it wont let me set up my own email it only says about blackberry enterprise email
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am having little problem with my blackberry 8520....earlier today I couldn't see my blackberry messenger on the instant message file, so searching for it led me to reloading my phone and before I reloaded it, the wifi connection was working perfectly, but now I can connect to wifi but my instant messengers are not working with it, like my blackberry messenger and yahoo messenger are not working with the wifi connection. And under the "Default Browser Configuration, I can see T-mobile internet and Hotspot browser alone.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI downloaded a theme OTA and I can't find it anywhere. It said it was for the 8520 OS 4.6, my phone said it was downloaded successfully but it's missing. It shows up on my applications list but not with my themes. I've checked every folder and nook and cranny. I've even restarted my phone. I wouldn't say I'm a BB pro or anything, but I'm fairly experienced so I've tried the obvious things.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWeirdest thing I've ever experienced with a smart phone. EXCLUSIVELY while using the Wi-fi at my house, I am unable to see pictures and load profiles on Facebook and Instagram while on my G3. Other apps don't seem to have this issue. It all works flawlessly on any other wi-fi or while using 4G. Also, the internet here works flawlessly for every other device in my house (PC, PS4, Xbox, etc).
I can use Messenger pretty much just fine, although it takes forever to send and receive pictures through it.
What on earth could possibly cause this issue? It's ONLY on MY wi-fi, and it's ONLY those apps.

1. I've downloaded the Facebook "bookmark", but I'm not sure where this is found?? I thought it would be an icon, that I could then add to the home screen? If it IS, then how do I find it, and do this?
2. Is it possible to add my iTunes catalogue, or a part of it, to my BB - are they compatible in any way?
3. How do I select something other than Vodafone's horrible home page, to be my landing page on the internet?
5. What is the difference between the "browser" icon and the "WAP" icon?? Am I meant to go through one in preference to the other, as ultimately, they both do the same thing??
6. Is the pin number solely for giving to BB "friends" so we can chat on messenger, or does it have any other uses?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI've been using a daily horoscope program with no problem since I first got my phone a few months ago. Today when I went to use it, it told me an update was available, so I choose to accept the update. When it asked if I wanted to reboot/restart the phone now or later, I selected now. The phone proceeded to update the software and now I can't use my phone at all.
I tried connecting my phone to my computer so I could restore it, but desktop manager says it can't communicate with my phone. And when I plug in the power cord, my phone doesn't even register that it's charging up. So, since so much of my life is connected to my phone, and I can't use my phone at all, I'm squirming. Of course, AT&T online tech support is closed Sundays; I guess nobody else has a phone emergency on Sundays. All I get is a white screen that tells me to reload software.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have blackberry curve 8900 version 4.6.1.114 and i'm using the older version of facebook blackberry version 1.6.0 because i've read that you can use wifi with the older facebook version without data plan. however i still can't connect. it says "could not connect because a data service is not available...etc" i tried to turned it off and remove the sim card and battery however it's still not resolved. is there any other way i can use facebook blackberry using wifi?
