Apr 14, 2011Can't use BBM or Facebook with WIFI but some other apps work. What can the problem be. The phone says my router name at the top.I also pay for the data plan.

Nov 21, 2012upgraded my facebook yesterday but now it won't accept when i hit "i agree" to the terms & conditions. i have up to date software, i've tried deleting it and reinstalling it, i've tried rebooting.

I went to the telus store to ask about it, and a lady who clearly had no idea what she was talking about told me the curve is "just not powerful or high-end enough". I know someone who has a bold 9700 and it connected without a flaw to my home wifi.

Sep 27, 2012My dad had this blackberry (9300) and the wifi didnt work from the start and the he gave the phone to me because he got a new one from his contract, and all this time i was trying to figure out how to turn on the wifi, because when i press the wifi button , it loads for a few seconds and then it turns off, when i press the white box a gray/white tick appears and then it turns back into white box. also when i try to run from the "setup" it sais "the WiFI is radio is off" and "unable to turn WIFI on,"
it did not work from the start, my sister has the same phone (because she got it from our mum) it works fine for her.

Jul 27, 2011I have a Curve 9300 on a 'Social Plan' offered by Telus...it was a promotional plan that came with the phone. This plan DOES NOT INCLUDE DATA USAGE, but, it does give me unlimited usage of preloaded social networking apps (this included Facebook 1.6 or w.e it was, as well as BBM, Twitter, and a few others that don't matter).Today, I decided to 'upgrade' my Facebook app to 2.0. All attempts to log-in are met with this message: "We are unable to reach the Facebook server at this time. (0)" One other thing that should be noted is that I wasn't able to upgrade the app conventionally, due to a glitch I am unsure of. I uninstalled Facebook 1.6 and installed 2.0 from the App World site.

Sep 4, 2011My Facebook application was working perfectly on my Curve 9300, but then my Blackberry got wiped while I was trying to get it unlocked, and although I've gotten everything else back to nornal, I have't been able to check-in on Facebook.When I try to check in, it takes a long time saying 'aquiring location', and then eventually tells me 'Unable to retrieve your location. Your location is temporarily unavailable. Please try again.I've downloaded the recent update for the Facebook app, restarted the phone, Google maps works just fine, I've checked that the GPS is turned on, everything seems to be ok, except the check in feature is stil not working.

Oct 1, 2011I'm still a new blackberry user and not sure what to do, I have a curve 9300 and the BBM is not working (although neither is facebook or twitter). I do have the BIS so I'm unsure why it is working, it's been almost thirty hours since i got the new blackberry, and I've tried taking the battery out for a few seconds while it was on but that didn't work either. I'm not sure what to do. It also says that my BlackBerry internet service (BIS) is not connected, (although I do pay for it). How do i get the BIS connected and the BBM working?

Now, whenever I get a notification from someone on facebook, the facebook app lets me know and it keeps a copy of it on my e-mails. However, when the time comes to delete all of my e-mails, it deletes everything except from all of the facebook notifications.
