I got myself a blackberry curve 9300 yesterday and have been trying all day to set up email, facebook etc., and it still won't work, it is driving me up the wall. I used to have a blackberry a few months ago but then went to a htc now back to blackberry but just can't set it up.
View 6 RepliesI have lost my BB curve 9300 and my e-mail and facebook accounts are linked with it. I know even a sim card is replaced the other person would still be able to view my accounts. I spoke my service provider and they said here is nothing they can do, i dont know why. I dont remember creating a BIS account. It was my private gmail account lined to BB.

This plan DOES NOT INCLUDE DATA USAGE, but, it does give me unlimited usage of preloaded social networking apps (this included Facebook 1.6 or w.e it was, as well as BBM, Twitter, and a few others that don't matter).Today, I decided to 'upgrade' my Facebook app to 2.0. All attempts to log-in are met with this message: "We are unable to reach the Facebook server at this time. (0)" One other thing that should be noted is that I wasn't able to upgrade the app conventionally, due to a glitch I am unsure of. I uninstalled Facebook 1.6 and installed 2.0 from the App World site.

My Facebook application was working perfectly on my Curve 9300, but then my Blackberry got wiped while I was trying to get it unlocked, and although I've gotten everything else back to nornal, I have't been able to check-in on Facebook.When I try to check in, it takes a long time saying 'aquiring location', and then eventually tells me 'Unable to retrieve your location. Your location is temporarily unavailable. Please try again.I've downloaded the recent update for the Facebook app, restarted the phone, Google maps works just fine, I've checked that the GPS is turned on, everything seems to be ok, except the check in feature is stil not working.

I do have the BIS so I'm unsure why it is working, it's been almost thirty hours since i got the new blackberry, and I've tried taking the battery out for a few seconds while it was on but that didn't work either. I'm not sure what to do. It also says that my BlackBerry internet service (BIS) is not connected, (although I do pay for it). How do i get the BIS connected and the BBM working?
View 9 Replies View Relatedi have a blackberry curve 9300 that was worning fine, untill i made the last upfgrade for teh new facebook version a few days ago. since the new FB version, when i get facebook notifications, they don't show on top of the screen (under teh clock) like teh bbm and the what's app notifications. now, for facebook, i only get teh red notification fot on teh folder where FB iis and on teh FB icon. nothihng on top on teh main screen like it used to.

I also have the facebook app which comes with the phone. Now, whenever I get a notification from someone on facebook, the facebook app lets me know and it keeps a copy of it on my e-mails. However, when the time comes to delete all of my e-mails, it deletes everything except from all of the facebook notifications.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just updated a blackberry 9300 to OS6 and found some issues regarding the email settings. Here are the issues I've found
1. Somtimes, it takes a very long time to load up email settings. For this , I clicked on "Settings", and then "Email Accounts"
2. Under Email accounts, it is obvious that there are 2 types of emails, one being enterprise, and one for the other types. I wanted to add an emaiil account, however when I click on the first option , nothing happens.
I tried to do some research about this, and came accross articles saying that I need to install "Email Settings", from the desktop manager. So I did, but apparently , it gives me an error that there are dependency issues, which means that I can't install "Email Settings" afterall.
My email does not seem to be working on my curve 9300, I recently had a curve 9230 which I set up the same email on to that but then wiped the phone and took the email off, I am now using my 9300 and my email does not work, everytime I try to add my email back onto it it does not go on to the email setup, the email setup icon is there but I click it and nothing happens, I tried registering my blackberry again to the network but it still never helped, I security wiped it aswell n tried to add my email but the same problem occurred, i really need my email on my blackberry.

As I understand from the online manuals you can setup an Internet Mail Account (which is what I want) or an Enterprise Account (i don't have)When I go to email setup I get the title to the screen of 'Enterprise Activation' and options to enter my email account and 'activation password'. These seem to sugget it's trying to setup a Enterprise Account, when in fact I want an internet account.I can't see any options to change this at all? In the set up menu the only option for email takes me straight to the Enterprise option - I think I need personal email set up but I do not know where to find it.Also have a music download issue. View 8 Replies View RelatedI've bought a Blackberry Curve 9300 a few weeks ago and I've added 3 e-mail accounts to it the same day to see how it works, it worked fine on the first day but on the next one it stopped working. Only then I created a BIS account - which TIM is my carrier -. Now the problem is: I can't delete these 3 accounts I've added earlier. I've tried to add them again trying to make it work properly, but I am unable to re-add them. On my BIS carrier website, It says that I've reached the maximum e-mail accounts.
How can I delete these e-mail accounts? I've tried the methods found on the web, like the one to "reconciliate"(?) the e-mail account option through wifi (on the phone). PS: My Blackberry is running a 6.0 bundle 2391 OS.
