prob is that me and a mate both have the bb 9300. both with 02 and the same data plan.but when i put my mate bb pin in it tells me i have an invalid email adress but on my mates bb they put my bb pin in and it says pending but nothing comes through on my phone.either phone has no probs addin other ppl can any1

This has only just caused a problem as her screen froze so she removed the battery and had to re-input the password and cannot remember it. Of course the password reminders are going to an invalid email.I have set up a correct Blackberry id for her now (on the computer) but cannot change it on her phone as the original password for the incorrect email is required!I've tried to google and I'm sure it's simple but have a distraught daughter who cannot BBM her friends!Is the only solution to wipe it?

I set up a new email address on the server and deleted the old account from my handset.Problem is, I now cannot get the new address to work!!I just get a message saying 'Invalid email address or password...'None of the email addresses on my hosting server will work, I have tried existing addresses, new addresses, resetting passwords, sending service books, re-registering device on network, downgrading devive software, data-wiping, upgrading the devic software... the list goes on!I have contacted my hosting provider and they have confirmed that everything is ok at their end.

It doesn't matter which email address I use  I've tried turning off auto fill, cleared my cache and cookies but what else I can do. It is also happening on my ipad at times too. Â

Here is my problem:
Sometimes, but not everytime, when I try to REPLY to an email I receive an error message which says that the email contains an invalid email address. I have scrolled through all the email addresses contained in the reply and can confirm that they are in fact valid email addresses.
Things I have tried:
Battery pull
Renaming my own contact name
Eliminating custom email "aliases"
When I try to add a new contact, or edit an existing contact, my address book freezes. After a while, the following error appears: Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_addressbook_app (256) is not responding; process terminated. I already tried removing the battery for a while, this didn't work. What can I do to make my address book work properly again?

I have problem with the address Book in the Blackberry Desktop Application shows under- Applications- Address Book (not installed) this is happened after 233 out of 720 Contact of my Outlook contact was synchronized in my black Berry, I can't sync it any more? I went through configuration and reset in the Desktop application and I can click in address book and associate the contact with outlook, when I click OK, it is still "Grey out" in the Desktop Application, and still shows 'Not installed? I Checked for application update and I update the desktop from 5 to 6. It is still Grey out and shows "Address Book not installed"? Interesting point is I have BB Curve 8320 and it is in my BB desktop application and I can sync the address book and the application is not grey out?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI had a BB curve 8520 for past 2 years and loved it. Over Christmas, my son had my old BB and I bought a new one - exactly the same - the Curve 8520. Both operate on orange networks. My old BB was v4 new BB is v5.I have a personal email address, and 5 work email accounts - all of which have worked perfectly fine on the old BB. However when trying to add them to the new BB, although my personal account has been accepted, when trying to input my work email I keep getting a message that the password is not correct (which I know it is. I have even tried resetting my work email password on the email server).The email accounts were removed from the old BB when it was given to my son, and although they have worked on that BB for 2 years, I tried reloading them on his BB - but now have the same error message of incorrect password.I have surfed the net and can see this seems to be an issue, mostly for gmail accounts (My work email is not a gmail account) - but no specific response on how to resolve it. I have carried out all the checks such as making sure keyboard is set to right language, and font does not automatically set capitals as first letter, so that isnt the problem.The phone is primarily for business use - so I absolutely have to resolve this.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just got a new phone because I lost my old one and I've been trying to restore my bb messenger contacts through the email option which I had done before with other blackberrys and had worked perfectly. This time, when I click on the option to restore it says that they have to send an email to verify that my email account is valid, I click ok and then it says that my email account (which is working perfectly on the phone) is invalid and they were unable to send a verification email and to check if the account is valid and try again later. I have been doing this for two days and nothing has changed.

When I do a ping from my computer it shows "ping: cannot resolve sync.ovi.com/: Unknown host".It's petty that so many services in Ovi remain unpredictable.

However, when I recieved the new phone I found I was unable to add my email address, or any other address for that matter, to the phone so I am now unable to actually recieve any emails whatsoever. When I attempt to do so, I get this message "Unable to log in. Please check your information and try again". I looked on the Blackberry support video for this and I'm missing about 3 or 4 screens out of the setup process. Rather than go from Create or add email address to agreeing terms, mine goes directly to asking for a user name and password and whilst I have a user name and password with Blackberry these don't work, despite being able to log in online with this same info. I've tried restarting the phone to see if this is a glitch but the problem remains.
