I just got the Curve 9300. I can't seem to sync the contacts and calendar with my Mac's BB Desktop Manager. It shows the message, "... turn off wireless synchronization by opening Address Book on the device... etc." There isn't such an option available.

I have problem with the address Book in the Blackberry Desktop Application shows under- Applications- Address Book (not installed) this is happened after 233 out of 720 Contact of my Outlook contact was synchronized in my black Berry, I can't sync it any more? I went through configuration and reset in the Desktop application and I can click in address book and associate the contact with outlook, when I click OK, it is still "Grey out" in the Desktop Application, and still shows 'Not installed? I Checked for application update and I update the desktop from 5 to 6. It is still Grey out and shows "Address Book not installed"? Interesting point is I have BB Curve 8320 and it is in my BB desktop application and I can sync the address book and the application is not grey out?

It seems that I end up with multiple copies of a contact and then the synch gives me an error code 0x80040fb3 - error encountered. I tried to delete all of the contacts in the address book and resych. After attempting to delete the contacts, there are seven versions of the same contact. I cannot open or delete the contact. I have tried deleting the address book from the Blackberry desktop but that did not work.

The guy told me that in options, because "wireless sync" says Not Available, he couldn't do it. I can't change that setting either.

I am using Blackberry Internet Service (BIS).I need to disable the AT&T Address Book contact synchronization feature from my device.Prior to the activation of the AT&T Address Book contact synchronization feature, I was successfully syncing my Google contacts with the Default address book on the device. Now that the AT&T Address Book has been activated, syncing with my Google contacts is no longer possible.I have not discovered how to disable the AT&T Address Book contact synchronization feature. I have performed a Security Wipe on the device. It appears that it does not disable the AT&T Address Book contact synchronization feature, which reappears again.On the AT&T Blackberry Torch 9800, under Setup, there are different icons for features you want to set up. I was trying to create a sub folder in my address book & now I can't find my original add book. The add book icon is still there, but there are no contacts in it. The best i remember i hit filter and chose business & typed in a name for what i thought would be a new folder or group. i'm not sure what happened, but I can't see any of my contacts. I have switched from personl to business & back again & it says "no contacts" on both. But if I go to email & put in a letter all of my old contacts that begin with that letter show up. & my speed dials still work. But if i go to sms/mms & do compose sms it shows "No Addresses"....well I spoke too soon...now if i go to email & type in a letter it don't show a list of ppl that begin with that letter.... I have tried taking the battery out with the phone off & on & it's still the same....

View 1 Replies View RelatedIf I fill out the address and birthday fields on the web site contacts page. Sync to my phone fails. If I fill out the address field on my phone, then it doesn't complete the relevent fields on the web site. The address fields on the web site are different to the phone and fields on the site are not supported by the phone's address book.
It seems like the two are running different software and are slightly incompatible
Everything worked fine with my old pc - Windows Vista w/Outlook for contacts. I bought a new Windows 7 pc and now use Windows LiveMail for contacts. I was able to import my Outlook contacts into LiveMail. But when I try to synchronize my pc and BB the only synchronization options I see are Yahoo and OutlookExpress - no LiveMail option. I selected OutlookExpress and it seemed to work - the BB Desktop Manager found the right # of contacts and identified some record conflicts. It then said the synchronization was successful. But there are still many records which are only on the pc or only on the device, no new records were added. How can I resolve this?

I can't sync my address book with Outlook anymore. It gets to "Reading from Microsoft Outlook Address Book - Record 13 of 111 Records" and then stalls out with an error code - 0x80043ac9. Its the same thing EVERY time, but I think it has to be something in the berry, cause I've tried on 2 computers and no go (exactly the same errors). Any idea's what might be wrong, or what I might be able to do to fix this?

How can I get it to sync "both ways"? (BTW, iTunes recognizes the iPhone, as does iPhoto, so that's not the problem).

I recently went into the lake with my iPhone 4 in my pocket. I tried the rice trick, but no luck. Although I do still have my very first iPhone the 1st Gen. I went into the AT&T store to give me a new SIM for it and it started up. When I went home to sync it to my computer, I couldn't restore it from my iPhone 4 because the software was too old on the 1st Gen. It is on 3.1.3 and will not allow me to go any higher. My biggest problem is syncing my contacts from Address Book. It will not allow my in the info tab. It says sync contacts but nothing from my address book is there. Only Yahoo and Google options. How do I get my Address Book on here?

I have a problem to sync my contact list using Blackberry Desktop Software. the problem is only 29 out of my 300+ contacts are synced. In my BB phone i noticed that in "Contacts/Options" there are two Contact Lists both with the name "Desktop". the first one has 29 entries and the "Wireless Synchronization" option is available but for the second contact list which has the rest of my contacts, the "Wireless Synchronization" is not available ! it seems that Blackberry Desktop Software can not sync with the second Contact List because of this.
