BB Curve 8500 :: How To Turn Off Wireless Synchronization?
I'm having trouble turning off wireless synchronization for my Contacts -- support said to go to Contacts - Menu - Options - Wireless Sync but when I go to Contacts, hit the Menu key (to the left of the trackball), Options, all I see is General Options and under that menu there is nothing relating to Wireless Sync.I feel like I'm missing something obvious.

BB Curve 8300 :: Wont Turn Off Wireless Synchronization
I have tried and tried everything I can think of I have read many posts on this topic already and nothing is helping. Does anyone know how to do this? I have gone to the address book, then option, but there is nothing that says wireless synchronization. Even my device, when I searched on it, tells me to do this, but it's not there. I am wanting to be able to see my address book on my desktop but I cannot do this without turning this off.

BB Curve 8300 :: 8310 Can No Longer See Wireless Synchronisation Option In Address Book Options
I use a 8310 Curve software version 126.96.36.199 (Platform 188.8.131.52) which I purchased last year. My firm has an enterprise server for which I completed the activation at the time of purchase. The activation enabled my contacts and calendar items to be synchronised wirelessly with MS Outlook. However now I can no longer see the option to do a wireless synchronisation on my handset. I get just 3 headers under the address book options which are:
Sort by: First Name/ Last Name/ Company
Confirm delete: Yes/No
Allow duplicate names: Yes/ No
Besides showing me the Number of entries.I have not undertaken any major software update since the purchase.

BB Torch :: Disable AT&T Address Book Contact Synchronization?
I have an AT&T Blackberry Torch 9800. I am using Blackberry Internet Service (BIS).I need to disable the AT&T Address Book contact synchronization feature from my device.Prior to the activation of the AT&T Address Book contact synchronization feature, I was successfully syncing my Google contacts with the Default address book on the device. Now that the AT&T Address Book has been activated, syncing with my Google contacts is no longer possible.I have not discovered how to disable the AT&T Address Book contact synchronization feature. The only option available is to "sync now" (with AT&T Address Book).
I have performed a Security Wipe on the device. It appears that it does not disable the AT&T Address Book contact synchronization feature, which reappears again. On the AT&T Blackberry Torch 9800, under Setup, there are different icons for features you want to set up. One of them is called AT&T Address Book. When you click on that icon, it begins the registration process for AT&T Address Book. You have the choice to Accept or Decline.Once accepted, all future contacts created on the device can only be listed on the AT&T Address Book contact list. It is no longer possible to create contacts in the Default address book on the device.
<Blackberry Knowledge Base reference: AT&T Address Book>KB24080 - Synchronization with the AT&T Address Book in BlackBerry 6 the AT&T Address Book provides the ability to synchronize contacts on the BlackBerry® smartphone to an online AT&T Address Book that can be accessed by visiting [URL]. After an account is created, contacts can be added, edited, and viewed using this online resource. The contacts are saved on the AT&T network, and can be easily recovered or restored in the event of an upgrade, damage, or loss of a BlackBerry smartphone. Below is a list of features advertised with the AT&T Address Book: Automatic Backup: Your contacts on a compatible AT&T mobile phone are backed up to your AT&T Address Book, and changes you make are automatically saved. Online Access: Conveniently access, manage, and text message your contacts from a computer. Note: Contacts stored within the AT&T Address Book on the BlackBerry smartphone will not synchronize via the BlackBerry® Desktop Software to a Personal Information Management (PIM) application on the computer (for example, Microsoft Outlook). The BlackBerry Desktop Software is designed to synchronize information between a PIM application and the BlackBerry smartphone using the smartphone's default contact list service. As the AT&T Address Book creates its own service that is not accessible for synchronization (as it cannot be set as the default service for synchronization), the BlackBerry Desktop Software continues to synchronize with the default service and not the AT&T Address Book.Users will notice that their AT&T Address Book data does not transfer to their PIM application on their computers, but that the computer information is stored in a separate service on the BlackBerry smartphone after synchronization. This is by design.

HTC :: Incredible How Does Synchronization Of Address Book Information Work With Mac?
I am considering buying an Incredible to replace my BB curve and I have the following questions about the Incredible's true capabilities. How does the synchronization of of address book information work with a Mac? Specifically, I have accumulated entries in my Mac address book where the address, be it physical, e-mail, or phone is labeled "Boston" or "Summer Home" etc. and both the BB program and the Mark Space program won't transfer any entries that don't match the rigid blackberry set of work, home, fax, mobile. Will the address book program that comes with the Incredible and any synching software allow the kind of flexibility I have with the Mac address book? Address will be transferred as "Boston," etc. and not dropped. Must I do all this with the Google cloud, or can I transfer data directly from the Mac to the Incredible? How well does the voice recognition software work? At first the voice recognition worked on my BB, but as the software "learned" my voice it became completely useless. How easy is the Incredible to use with one hand?
From time to time, I really need turn by turn with voice commands navigation. Is Google maps really a viable alternative for Verizon Navigator? How well does the Android work with a weak signal? I have seen various complaints about the Incredible working with poor signals. Any truth to this? At my house and office, signal strength varies between 2G and 3G but for either signal fluctuates between -95 and -105 db. Will the HTC work with this poor of a signal? I have heard the screen is hard to read in full sun? How about a sunny day in a car when I am trying to make a phone call? Is it true with the Incredible on Verizon I can get Tethering and not pay extra for it like the BB?

BB (RIM) :: Turn Off Wireless Synchronization For Home
I have an 8830 that wirelessly synchs thru the BES at work. When I get home, I want to be able to synch my appoints with my home PC, but I can't see how to make this work. HELP says to go into your appointments, use Menu to get to Options, and then change Wireless Synchronization, but that does not appear when I look at the menu. I do see it in Options for the Address Book, though. How might I be able to synch my 8830 to my home Appointments and Address Book?

BB Desktop Software :: Synchronization - How To Sync Emails And Address Book Entries To Device
Having just bought a "Bold 9700" I am new to the BlackBerry-World. I would like to sync my emails (e.g. the emails I wrote and sent on the road) and the adress book entries of the device (software version 184.108.40.2063) with "Windows Mail" on my home computer (OS Visa, SP 2). Up to now I couldn't find out how to do this, either with the "Desktop Manager" (version 5.0.1) or with some other piece of software (???). Potentialy it looks like the "DesktopManager" could be up to this task, but the box to check for this is not highlighted, so I can not select this option.

BB Curve 8300 :: Caller ID / Address Book - Incoming Calls Appear Without Names Registered In Address Book
I'm having a problem with the Caller ID on my Curve 8320, however, the solution in the following thread doesn't seems to be working with my problem URL...incoming calls appear without the names registered in the address book
Here is an example:
Office: +966 (3) 123-4567
Mobile: +966 (5) 1234-5678
When John calls the following is displayed:
0 (3) 123-4567
0 (5) 1234-5678
When John sends me an SMS his name appears I need to put in the +966 as I travel out of the country a lot. I tried using the Smart Dialing option, but it doesn't seem to work properly (it won't remove the zero, it only pads the number with the country code). Also, I could not figure out what to put for the National Number Length (land lines are 7 & mobiles are 8)

BB Curve :: Create A Sub Folder In Address Book And Now Can't Find Original Add Book
I was trying to create a sub folder in my address book & now I can't find my original add book. The add book icon is still there, but there are no contacts in it. The best i remember i hit filter and chose business & typed in a name for what i thought would be a new folder or group. i'm not sure what happened, but I can't see any of my contacts. I have switched from personl to business & back again & it says "no contacts" on both. But if I go to email & put in a letter all of my old contacts that begin with that letter show up. & my speed dials still work. But if i go to sms/mms & do compose sms it shows "No Addresses"....well I spoke too soon...now if i go to email & type in a letter it don't show a list of ppl that begin with that letter.... I have tried taking the battery out with the phone off & on & it's still the same....

BB Curve 8300 :: Address Book Look Up
i am not quite sure how the feature was changed, but if i was writing a new text or email, i use to be able to simply type in the first letter or so of a contact and it would come up out of my address book. now, i do it and "look up" comes up and i enter it and nothing automatically shows up from my address book. yet, my address book clearly has the contact.
i have tried the address book, filter. i have tried searching for trouble shooting, but i cannot seem to find how to fix the feature so now i have to literally go to the addrses book, locate the contact and do it directly from the contact. extra steps and use to not be the case.
