Using Desktop Manager to syncronise. Somehow the wireless synchronisation of the address book has been turned on. I want to turn it off again. all it tells me is I can turn it on or off.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have multiple email addresses on my phone (Work, School (2), and Gmail). I have set my work email as the default under default services under advanced options. If I am in messages and I use the menu to compose a new email, the correct default email (work) is used.
However, if I am browsing my files, like a picture, and I use the menu to select send as email, it will attach it to a new email but it will be my Gmail address, not my default work address as the from address.
I have double checked and my work email is set as the default. Does anyone know how to fix this? This is not a battery pull problem either... It has been this was since I got the phone, and on my replacement as well. I reboot the phone often so its not the standard do a battery pull answer.
I received an email from blackberry last week to validate my gmail address. It did not recognise my gmail address and/or password. I deleted the gmail account and tried to add my gmail account with a new passwoord. It tells me it is not a valid address or password.

El problema es que cuando ingresamos a "Contactos" en el telefono y realizamos una busqueda, este busca en la totalidad de los contactos (es lo que pude ver) y el telefono se torna extremadamente lento (pues claro, buscar una persona de 8000). En resumen, solo hay opciones para "MOSTRAR" ciertos contactos pero no para elegir QUE carpeta incronizar y cual no.
Lo que quiero saber es si existe la posibilidad de que la sincronizacion de Gmail con el telefono se puede resrtringir solo a una carpeta definida, una carpeta donde pueda guardar 100 o 200 contactos y que el telefono no descargue tanta informacion inecesaria, por ende aumentar su velocidad de busqueda.

From time to time, I really need turn by turn with voice commands navigation. Is Google maps really a viable alternative for Verizon Navigator? How well does the Android work with a weak signal? I have seen various complaints about the Incredible working with poor signals. Any truth to this? At my house and office, signal strength varies between 2G and 3G but for either signal fluctuates between -95 and -105 db. Will the HTC work with this poor of a signal? My contacts used to syncronize fine between my Bold 9900 and gmail. Now they don't syncronise at all. I have deleted the SYNC service book and had my carrier push the service book to me again. I have deleted and reconnected my gmail account. Plus rebooted my phone a least a half dozen times.
I was also curious about the frequency for gmail contacts to sync with the blackberry. Is this push based or does it happen every 2 or 6 hours.

I would like to sync my emails (e.g. the emails I wrote and sent on the road) and the adress book entries of the device (software version 5.0.0.423) with "Windows Mail" on my home computer (OS Visa, SP 2). Up to now I couldn't find out how to do this, either with the "Desktop Manager" (version 5.0.1) or with some other piece of software (???). Potentialy it looks like the "DesktopManager" could be up to this task, but the box to check for this is not highlighted, so I can not select this option.

I believe that it just stopped syncing last week and I believe that it was following a Motorola update, but cannot say for sure. Under Data Delivery, both Background Data and Data enabled are checked green. However, this is interesting because Email and corporate sync is grayed out on that screen. When I go to Account, checking the sync options is not possible, but I can do a manual sync. Please note, at one time, these options to sync Contacts, Gmail and Calendar were available. I am trying to synchronize my BB with my desktop and it turns out that recurring meetings are not being synchronized (neither direction). My desktop software is Evolution under Linux. I was wondering whether the data format BB uses to store and sync recurring meetings can be made available so that I can fix my synchronization software.

View 1 Replies View RelatedDid a software update this morning on my Bold 9900. When I went to Sync, I received a Synchronization Error message as it was synching the calendar. There was no number only an appointment date and event which does not exist in either Outlook 2010 or the Blackberry calendar. Upon receiving the error message, the synch stops. I did a replace all calendar events from the computer to the device, which went fine. But the problem was not resolved. I deleted all calendar events from the device, then did a replace all calendar events from the computer to the device, but that did not solve the problem.

I previously did not have an email address added to the BB email client. I was running gmail through the specific gmail app, and getting only SMS in my Messages. I was not seeing any FB notification icons via the FB app (latest version).However, I was unable to upload pics to FB via the FB app, nor could I submit them as attachments via the gmail app (attachments not supported). It was suggested to use the BB email client with my gmail address, so that I could add the photos as attachments.
I set up the email using the "setup wizard," however, I am now getting emails to both the Messages and the gmail client, as well as seeing FB notification icons (which didn't happen, previously). This situation is more annoying to me than just not being able to upload pics, and I'd like to just remove my gmail from the BB email client. I cannot figure out how to do this. All the info I'm finding addresses the case where you have something like an @att.com or something, where you can do it from the web-side. I want to remove it from the phone side. Little n00b help, please?
