BB Storm 9500 :: Gmail On BB - Message Status Message Included An Invalid Address
Aug 20, 2010I use my BB for personal use only. The email account I have registered on the phone is my gmail account. Just today, I noticed I can no longer send (compose new or reply) emails using this account on my phone. I get the following message in the email I attempt to send:
message status message included an invalid address
I can receieve my gmail messages on my phone no problem. My gmail account login information is correct on the phone.
I've tried searching for this problem but what I find always seems to be related to enterprise configurations using an Exchange Server and the fix was for the Exchange server. That doesn't fit my scenario.

Feb 13, 2010So I added a new gmail email address to my phone but by accident, when prompted told it to synch my contacts with that account. The first thing it did was import all the contacts to my gmail address book, on gmail.com, effectively erasing most of them from the phone. I took it into the t-mobile store and the guy somehow managed to recover about 1/3 of the contacts. So when I took it home, I deleted that email address and just plugged it into my computer and re-synched the contacts from my address book. However, whenever I look in my address book on the blackberry now, at the top of a contact it says "Sychronize using: emailaddress@gmail.com" (Obviously insert the email address I used). But that email address is no longer on my phone, so how is it synched with that? It also I think it is creating problems with synching up my facebook contacts as their pictures no longer show as icons on my phone. It's a minor problem, and seems to be a software issue, but is there any way to completely un-sych my contacts from this deleted email address?

Feb 4, 2010From my desktop computer I use a USB cable to synchronize my Outlook contacts, calendar and tasks to my Storm2. I also have a laptop computer and use BlueTooth to synchronize it's Outlook contacts, calendar and tasks with the Storm2. The synchronization seems work fine. I wanted to access my personal email so I set it up by selecting SET UP then EMAIL SETTINGS and followed the wizard. It worked perfectly but it also created another calendar which seems to be associated to the new email address. This caused problems when trying to synchronize, my desktop was updating one calendar while the laptop was updating the other. When I deleted the email address the extra claendar was also deleted. Am I missing something, why is a second calendar created when I setup an email account?

Oct 5, 2011I received an email on my Blackberry Storm 9530 that stated emails were not being delivered to my email address, and then gave me instructions to "validate my password". I went to my email settings on My Blackberry and put in what I thought was the password, but that failed. I tried a couple of others, but those failed also. Then I went to the Blackberry Internet Service website and reset my password there, but it still did not work. I noticed when I went to "Account Details" on the Blackberry website, the password was only 10 characters long, nothing close to any passwords that I might have used. I have Verizon Wireless, but should maybe mention that my email address has been supported by AT & T U-Verse for the last few years, and one month ago I cancelled U-Verse internet and went with someone else. Feb 18, 2010I have multiple email addresses on my phone (Work, School (2), and Gmail). I have set my work email as the default under default services under advanced options. If I am in messages and I use the menu to compose a new email, the correct default email (work) is used.
However, if I am browsing my files, like a picture, and I use the menu to select send as email, it will attach it to a new email but it will be my Gmail address, not my default work address as the from address.
I have double checked and my work email is set as the default. Does anyone know how to fix this? This is not a battery pull problem either... It has been this was since I got the phone, and on my replacement as well. I reboot the phone often so its not the standard do a battery pull answer.

Mar 1, 2010I like my E72 but I have two problems that really annoy me.
1. In the past when ever I would write a new email I would get list of suggested email addresses in the "To" field. For example, if I would was to write the letter S I would get the email address of the people in my address book whose name starts with an S (sam, Sofia etc). for some reason this feature stopped working on my phone and I can't find how to make it work again. if I want to send an email I need to manually write the email address in the "To" field. The auto suggestion feature works perfectly on my wife's phone (an E72 with the same firmware - 22.007) but on my phone it won't suggest email addresses from my contacts.
2. Another problem is that my Gmail that is synced to the phone, through the Nokia Messenger server is locked on "hide emails older than 2 weeks". Now, I have hundreds of emails stored on my phone that dates to February 1st - the day I got the Phone.
Is there a way to delete these emails automatically, without deleting them on the Gmail account itself? It makes my phone really when going through the emails.

I previously did not have an email address added to the BB email client. I was running gmail through the specific gmail app, and getting only SMS in my Messages. I was not seeing any FB notification icons via the FB app (latest version).However, I was unable to upload pics to FB via the FB app, nor could I submit them as attachments via the gmail app (attachments not supported). It was suggested to use the BB email client with my gmail address, so that I could add the photos as attachments.
I set up the email using the "setup wizard," however, I am now getting emails to both the Messages and the gmail client, as well as seeing FB notification icons (which didn't happen, previously). This situation is more annoying to me than just not being able to upload pics, and I'd like to just remove my gmail from the BB email client. I cannot figure out how to do this. All the info I'm finding addresses the case where you have something like an @att.com or something, where you can do it from the web-side. I want to remove it from the phone side. Little n00b help, please?

Nov 10, 2011Everything worked fine with my old pc - Windows Vista w/Outlook for contacts. I bought a new Windows 7 pc and now use Windows LiveMail for contacts. I was able to import my Outlook contacts into LiveMail. But when I try to synchronize my pc and BB the only synchronization options I see are Yahoo and OutlookExpress - no LiveMail option. I selected OutlookExpress and it seemed to work - the BB Desktop Manager found the right # of contacts and identified some record conflicts. It then said the synchronization was successful. But there are still many records which are only on the pc or only on the device, no new records were added. How can I resolve this?
