After updating Desktop to 6.0.1.18 Bundle 21 my addrss book synch with Outlook 2010 doesn't work. The Deskstop organizer says Address Book is not installed, even after trying checking the Address Book to Outlook Box in the Configure Settings window.
View 7 RepliesI just recently downloaded the BB DS6 and now my Address Book will not sync. On the Sync screen, it is grayed out and says "not installed". I never had this problem until I downloaded the new desktop software. I can't update my contacts from Outlook 2003 to my phone. Calendar, Memopad and Tasks sync fine.

I have problem with the address Book in the Blackberry Desktop Application shows under- Applications- Address Book (not installed) this is happened after 233 out of 720 Contact of my Outlook contact was synchronized in my black Berry, I can't sync it any more? I went through configuration and reset in the Desktop application and I can click in address book and associate the contact with outlook, when I click OK, it is still "Grey out" in the Desktop Application, and still shows 'Not installed? I Checked for application update and I update the desktop from 5 to 6. It is still Grey out and shows "Address Book not installed"? Interesting point is I have BB Curve 8320 and it is in my BB desktop application and I can sync the address book and the application is not grey out?

View 6 Replies View RelatedEverything worked fine with my old pc - Windows Vista w/Outlook for contacts. I bought a new Windows 7 pc and now use Windows LiveMail for contacts. I was able to import my Outlook contacts into LiveMail. But when I try to synchronize my pc and BB the only synchronization options I see are Yahoo and OutlookExpress - no LiveMail option. I selected OutlookExpress and it seemed to work - the BB Desktop Manager found the right # of contacts and identified some record conflicts. It then said the synchronization was successful. But there are still many records which are only on the pc or only on the device, no new records were added. How can I resolve this?

I backed up all contacts in my address book by using blackberry desktop software and then did the "Wipe Handheld" from my phone, but still when you try to add a new contact when you dont have any contacts on the phone it does not respond (in some cases the phone freezes) and i have to remove battery and start the phone again. again if I try to add any contacts it wont let me edit or create new contacts. View 8 Replies View RelatedApparently, sometime during or after I installed the OS update on my Storm 2 (Platform 4.2.0.442, OS 5.0.0.1015), something went horribly wrong so that I started to get error messages when I try to sync my Contacts to Outlook 2007 via BB Desktop Software. After many frustrating hours troubleshooting and following recommendations from user forums, I followed the last suggestion and wiped the device clean using BBSAK and installed a fresh OS downloaded from the BB website.
I then cleaned up my Outlook address book and compressed the main Outlook mail pst file (containing the Contacts), just to get a clean Outlook Contacts file (which by the way works just fine in Outlook with about 900 contacts). I can still sync my Calendar, MemoPad and Tasks list from Outlook, but it can't even find the Address Book file for mapping any longer. When I try to map an Address Book folder in BB Desktop SW, I get: Microsoft Outlook Connector Error "One or more configured folders is not available. Update folder mapping and try again". However the "Map folder" button is gray and I can't find any place to set up the connection to the Outlook Contacts.Where do I need to go and what do I have to do to get my contacts back on my BB? Without my phone book this "Smartphone" is of not much use to me!

When I received this error I checked my contacts on my device and they were all gone! The best i remember i hit filter and chose business & typed in a name for what i thought would be a new folder or group. i'm not sure what happened, but I can't see any of my contacts. I have switched from personl to business & back again & it says "no contacts" on both. But if I go to email & put in a letter all of my old contacts that begin with that letter show up. & my speed dials still work. I like my E72 but I have two problems that really annoy me.
1. In the past when ever I would write a new email I would get list of suggested email addresses in the "To" field. For example, if I would was to write the letter S I would get the email address of the people in my address book whose name starts with an S (sam, Sofia etc). for some reason this feature stopped working on my phone and I can't find how to make it work again. if I want to send an email I need to manually write the email address in the "To" field. The auto suggestion feature works perfectly on my wife's phone (an E72 with the same firmware - 22.007) but on my phone it won't suggest email addresses from my contacts.
2. Another problem is that my Gmail that is synced to the phone, through the Nokia Messenger server is locked on "hide emails older than 2 weeks". Now, I have hundreds of emails stored on my phone that dates to February 1st - the day I got the Phone.
Is there a way to delete these emails automatically, without deleting them on the Gmail account itself? It makes my phone really when going through the emails.
Each time I reset or restart my Bold, all these service books are put on my phone automatically. Things like Facebook, AccuWeather, TeleNav, Tetris Demo, ToneMaker Demo, A BUNCH of games and other things. They are not installed but they are links that open up my browser to download them. I delete the service books so its goes away, but after i restart, BAM they are all back!!! this never happened before I got a free month of data service from t-mobile. Or is this an automatic when you get a data-plan? How can I stop or block this?

i tried to reboot removing the battery for a minute and restart but still with the same problem.
Also i figured out that when y sync my bb with the desktop manager, the address book is not sync it says (Adress book not installed) that is why i can not swipe the contacts to reinstall the info because i have no back up of the address book

Just got this phone and manually input all of my contacts with no problem. One day later, all those contacts are gone and it won't let me add more contacts. I have even tried adding them to my SIM and then copying them over...but still nothing.
