have 6.0 on my Bold 9700 and am using Desktop 6.1.0.35. In the organizer it saysAddress book, calender, memo, and tasks are not installed. Will not let me sync. I have wiped the BB several times and retried. nothing seems to work. I have read many posts but can not find anything to work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedEach time I reset or restart my Bold, all these service books are put on my phone automatically. Things like Facebook, AccuWeather, TeleNav, Tetris Demo, ToneMaker Demo, A BUNCH of games and other things. They are not installed but they are links that open up my browser to download them. I delete the service books so its goes away, but after i restart, BAM they are all back!!! this never happened before I got a free month of data service from t-mobile. Or is this an automatic when you get a data-plan? How can I stop or block this?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI noticed that my bold 9700 is restarting on its own , then the screen become white with writing JVM error 503, I search the internet to find out what happen, but few second later the phone rebooted own its own.
so i cross my finger while it was doing it. to my relieve it starts ok. But after few hours when i want to call somebody on my phone book, to my horror, the whole contacts on the address book are gone, not even 1 left, it’s totally empty. bbm, notepad, email, bookmarks, sms are fine , nothing is missing only the contacts are gone, and I’m now overseas for company meeting, and i didn’t bring any backup file with me, I’ve been a maniac for smart phones, i used Symbian, IPhone, android, winMo, etc and NONE of them ever give me such a problem out of no where, my 2000+ contacts are gone. And no I didn’t install or do anything to my phone since few weeks, cause I’m on my business trip.
is there any solution to my problem? I’ve tried sending service book bust doesn’t seem to help. Seriously, if Any of RIM employee or designer happens to see this post, i got question for you. This supposed to be a business phone, and now all my business contacts are gone.
I have been synching both Yahoo Address Book and Yahoo Calendar successfully for months.Suddenly, Address Book no longer synchs.Yahoo calendar still works.The problem occurs aftew Desktop reads all the contacts.It halts while "Synchronization Progress reading from Yahoo Address Book" displays.That message has displayed for up to an hour with no progress.I then disconnect and halt Desktop.I can still synch Yahoo Calendar.I have not updated desktop or device software.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a problem to sync my contact list using Blackberry Desktop Software. the problem is only 29 out of my 300+ contacts are synced. In my BB phone i noticed that in "Contacts/Options" there are two Contact Lists both with the name "Desktop". the first one has 29 entries and the "Wireless Synchronization" option is available but for the second contact list which has the rest of my contacts, the "Wireless Synchronization" is not available ! it seems that Blackberry Desktop Software can not sync with the second Contact List because of this.

Can't get Activity Log to pick up any results. Use feature heavliy with 8350 model and can't get it to work on the 9700. AT&T is carrier and current software is V5.0.0.405 and software is enterprise server based. Any suggestions here?

When I tried to individually add data I noticed that the option to choose Addresses/Contacts was grey (I can't tick the box).

I read where there is pretty much no way to reassign different names to the number in the address book of the curve but can this be done on our 9700? for instance, my friend has way too many phone numbers for his job and they are all mobile numbers. Is there any way for me to label one like nextel or somehting and one personal cell and one work cell? Or have one contact for mr and mrs such and such with both cell numbers in the contact but label one his and the other hers? Am I making any sense here?

When entering a new contact the software will not allow me to enter a Canadian style alpha-numeric postal code -- in that field the keyboard is set to only use the number pad. Even if i show the contact's country as canada the field does not change.I can, however, enter contacts in Contact Manger in Outlook then synch the address book -- and the postal code shows up properly.
I want to Synchronize my device address book with yahoo's
After experiencing some problems I decided to start from cero and deleted all contacts of my yahoo address book. I then synchronized with the Blackberry desktop manager (arrow pointing out in both directions) and loaded all data from the device (address book) to yahoo.
When I do changes using my PC directly in yahoo and then sync with device all works apparently OK, e.g. if I modify a name adding a surname that will be synchronized correctly in the device, however the changes I do in an existing record in my device with the sync won't be done in yahoo.
What shall I do to have all changes done to my device's adress book in the yahoo account.
How do i transfer my address book on blackberry 9700 bold to a samsung S3? I went to m.google.com/sync on BB browser but there was no 'Download' icon

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am brand new to Blackberry and am trying to edit my address book. All the telephone numbers from my old Mobile Phone have been imported to my Bold, but it’s labeling them all as “Work” contacts, which isn’t true.
How can I manipulate these numbers easily on my Mac computer? I downloaded Blackberry Desktop Manager for Mac and have backed up the contacts (as a bbb file, I think). But still finding it difficult to actually see the phone numbers and manipulate them on my computer.

I have problem with the address Book in the Blackberry Desktop Application shows under- Applications- Address Book (not installed) this is happened after 233 out of 720 Contact of my Outlook contact was synchronized in my black Berry, I can't sync it any more? I went through configuration and reset in the Desktop application and I can click in address book and associate the contact with outlook, when I click OK, it is still "Grey out" in the Desktop Application, and still shows 'Not installed? I Checked for application update and I update the desktop from 5 to 6. It is still Grey out and shows "Address Book not installed"? Interesting point is I have BB Curve 8320 and it is in my BB desktop application and I can sync the address book and the application is not grey out?

I never had this problem until I downloaded the new desktop software. I can't update my contacts from Outlook 2003 to my phone. Calendar, Memopad and Tasks sync fine.

View 10 Replies View RelatedSo I added a new gmail email address to my phone but by accident, when prompted told it to synch my contacts with that account. The first thing it did was import all the contacts to my gmail address book, on gmail.com, effectively erasing most of them from the phone. I took it into the t-mobile store and the guy somehow managed to recover about 1/3 of the contacts. So when I took it home, I deleted that email address and just plugged it into my computer and re-synched the contacts from my address book. However, whenever I look in my address book on the blackberry now, at the top of a contact it says "Sychronize using: emailaddress@gmail.com" (Obviously insert the email address I used). But that email address is no longer on my phone, so how is it synched with that? It also I think it is creating problems with synching up my facebook contacts as their pictures no longer show as icons on my phone. It's a minor problem, and seems to be a software issue, but is there any way to completely un-sych my contacts from this deleted email address?

I have Windows Vista operating system and every time I try to use Intellisync to sync my Yahoo Address book with the device the program stops working. What am I doing wrong? I would like to sync my emails (e.g. the emails I wrote and sent on the road) and the adress book entries of the device (software version 5.0.0.423) with "Windows Mail" on my home computer (OS Visa, SP 2). Up to now I couldn't find out how to do this, either with the "Desktop Manager" (version 5.0.1) or with some other piece of software (???). Potentialy it looks like the "DesktopManager" could be up to this task, but the box to check for this is not highlighted, so I can not select this option.
