I recently readded the newest version of Desktop Manager and am using the Blackberry Curve 3G. I have Windows Vista operating system and every time I try to use Intellisync to sync my Yahoo Address book with the device the program stops working. What am I doing wrong? I've tried to uninstall Desktop Manager and reinstall and it keeps happening.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have been synching both Yahoo Address Book and Yahoo Calendar successfully for months.Suddenly, Address Book no longer synchs.Yahoo calendar still works.The problem occurs aftew Desktop reads all the contacts.It halts while "Synchronization Progress reading from Yahoo Address Book" displays.That message has displayed for up to an hour with no progress.I then disconnect and halt Desktop.I can still synch Yahoo Calendar.I have not updated desktop or device software.

Hooked it up to my PC and transferred all my Address Book Contacts & Calendar to the phone using Desktop Manager.Next day I got the activation code from my company and put it in and hey presto I was getting emails. Next day I connected it back up to my PC to make some changes to my Calendar and after that the emails stopped.I had to get a new activation code and it was back online however the day after that after I connected again to Desktop Manager it stopped receiving emails again. Back receiving emails again after getting another activation code.Speaking to others in my company who have BB, they have said their contacts & calendar automatically update on the phone when they change it on their PC but it doesn't happen on mine.Any ideas to help me out? Where am I going wrong?After the first time I got the activation code and connected to the PC, it wouldn't sync the Address Book Contacts as it said it was set up for wireless synchronisation but I never set that up?

I liked it but then I started a Telecom company and since we were partnered with Telus and I wanted to get paid a percentage of my bill, I switched over to the Blackberry WORLD PHONE...8830 if I'm not mistaken. I had a lot of issues with that phone and went through 9 of them until I got tired of it and switched back to the solid iPhone.Since then I got a Mac and my address book syncs with my phone.One of the only things stopping me right now from switching to the Blackberry 9900 is a question really.

Recently I upgraded my Desktop Manager to Version 6.0.0.40 and now I can't transfer media files to my Curve 8330.One thing I tried was to update my device OS to 4.5.0.175, this did not work.The DM shows that Media Options are not available,that I have to trun on mass storage mode from the device.Under the options menu on my 8330, I open Media Card and sure enough Media Card Support is On, Mass Storage Support is On, and Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode is On (I've tried when I switch to Prompt, but that did not work either).I've removed the media card, reinserted it, reformatted it, made sure it was recognized by my device (it is), so obviously the problem is with the Desktop Manager. With previous versions, I had no problems with Media Sync, only with the new DM version. The DM will recognize my device when plugged in via USB and I can sync my Organizer with no issues.What else can I try to get my DM - Media Sync to work with my 8330?
I am trying to sync to my MAC via Blackberry Desktop Software for MAC. It worked fine the first time, but now it tells me that the Contacts are configured to sync wirelessly, and that I should turn that feature off.1. I can't find how to do so. It says that I need to open the Address book and see it in Options, but a... The app is not called Address book, but Contact, and I don't see that Option there b.... I never had this problem until I downloaded the new desktop software. I can't update my contacts from Outlook 2003 to my phone. Calendar, Memopad and Tasks sync fine.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI find that if I enter something on Outlook (using Windows), an entry in the Contacts or in the Calendar, it does sync with my ipad/iphone. But when I enter on the ipad/iphone, it does not sync with Outlook at all. I have resorted to emailing myself and then entering it when I'm at the computer. I've read here on the forums and tried various things but it doesn't seem to work.

I am having problems syncing facebook and skype to my address book. When I install either app and select the option to sync, all that gets created is an 'unknown' group containing all the contacts from these services, none of which are ever linked to my contact list.

It's asthough the data is not even recognised. I've r=tried resetting sync history in iSync prefs, as well clicking on 'replacing data for next sync only' option in iTunes. No success.

I was trying to create a sub folder in my address book & now I can't find my original add book. The add book icon is still there, but there are no contacts in it. The best i remember i hit filter and chose business & typed in a name for what i thought would be a new folder or group. i'm not sure what happened, but I can't see any of my contacts. I have switched from personl to business & back again & it says "no contacts" on both. But if I go to email & put in a letter all of my old contacts that begin with that letter show up. & my speed dials still work. But if i go to sms/mms & do compose sms it shows "No Addresses"....well I spoke too soon...now if i go to email & type in a letter it don't show a list of ppl that begin with that letter.... I have tried taking the battery out with the phone off & on & it's still the same....

I would like to sync my emails (e.g. the emails I wrote and sent on the road) and the adress book entries of the device (software version 5.0.0.423) with "Windows Mail" on my home computer (OS Visa, SP 2). Up to now I couldn't find out how to do this, either with the "Desktop Manager" (version 5.0.1) or with some other piece of software (???). Potentialy it looks like the "DesktopManager" could be up to this task, but the box to check for this is not highlighted, so I can not select this option.

When I pair the devices it will ask me on my phone if the car has permission to access my contacts and I'll say yes. When I go into the phonebook on the car or try to voice dial by a name it only pulls 10ish contacts from my phone. I've tried re-pairing, turning off wifi and re-pairing, making sure 4g is on and re-pairing to no avail. Again.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been using my Blackberry Curve 8320 as an IP modem using the latest update of the Desktop Manager. I have t-Mobile. Yesterday while my laptop was connected thru the BB IP modem, the USB tether was disconnected. Now I cannot connect using the IP modem feature. I get error messages that say the remote server does not respond (original message), there is a hardware error (current message), plus my wireless carrier may have turned off the service and to check my profiles to make sure my radio is on. I contacted T-Mobile and they indicated the service had not been turned off. My profiles appear to be accurate and my radio is on. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get my IP modem working again?

When I try to close out the Desktop Manager, it shows that it is disconnecting, then just hangs there, and I have to use CTRL ALT DEL to close the program. I NEED the data on my BB and I am worried that it hasn't updated or synched properly in over a week.

I received unexplained promblems seeking access to the internet. I tried calling home and the error message surprised me. I was no longer active. I needed to contact Verizon to reactivate my phone. I have now done this twice in the past 5 days.My car's bluetooth has alos allowed me to viewed the phone address book by "name' of my telephone number, including the telephone number.First name, last name and telephone number. So, while driving, bluetooth enabled, select the name of the person I want to call, push the button and viola!... hands free calling via my car's bluetooth.Now that I have upgraded... No "name' is listed, only the telephone numbers. I met with my local Verizon sales support person. He was stumped.We deleted the pairing, reinstalled the pairing 3 times. Still no address book by "name"... Stumped.

I've unistalled Destop Manager, reverted back to 5.0.0 and I still have the same issue. This was and is currently setup with my Outlook 2003 (SP3) exchange server to forward my work emails, and it worked up until I updated to 5.0.1 last week.
i have a blackberry curve 8520. at the momment i have 288 contacts but i can not add more. I go to menu, address book, new contact, the window give me the options, i add the information (name, phone, email, etc) and when i want to save the contact it do not save
i tried to reboot removing the battery for a minute and restart but still with the same problem.
Also i figured out that when y sync my bb with the desktop manager, the address book is not sync it says (Adress book not installed) that is why i can not swipe the contacts to reinstall the info because i have no back up of the address book
