Galaxy S5 :: Why Aren't Phone Contacts And Address Book Syncing With 2015 Chevy Malibu
Jan 15, 2015
I'm having trouble syncing all of my contacts from my Samsung Galaxy S5 to my new 2015 Chevy Malibu. When I pair the devices it will ask me on my phone if the car has permission to access my contacts and I'll say yes. When I go into the phonebook on the car or try to voice dial by a name it only pulls 10ish contacts from my phone. I've tried re-pairing, turning off wifi and re-pairing, making sure 4g is on and re-pairing to no avail. Again.
The contacts in my Bold 9780 are not syncing with the address book in my Macbook Pro. Eg new contacts that I've created in Bold do not appear in the address book. I did not have this problem previously until last week.
My Contacts are not syncing to iPhone after making lots (200 - 300) edits in Address Book on my MBP. The edits do not appear on the iPhone. It's asthough the data is not even recognised. I've r=tried resetting sync history in iSync prefs, as well clicking on 'replacing data for next sync only' option in iTunes. No success.
Info: MacBook Pro 3.02 GHz, 15, Mac OS X (10.6.8), 8GB RAM, 3 iPods, iPhone 3GS, iPad
I am having problems syncing facebook and skype to my address book. When I install either app and select the option to sync, all that gets created is an 'unknown' group containing all the contacts from these services, none of which are ever linked to my contact list.
My address book shows my both my email contacts and my phone number contacts. I just want to view my phone ook contacts and not the emails. How can i change this?!
A few months ago I unlinked my contacts to try and correct some information in one of them. I could not re-link them and eventually my address book froze up. I deleted it and started over but just these past few weeks it has been filling up spontaneously with all kinds of old emails and contact names and I'm having to delete them all over again. Any clue as to how to make this stop?
I have a Verizon Samsung S5 running Android 5.0, and use Microsoft Exchange Active Sync to synchronize my global address book, calendar, and email at my work.
Previously, I was able to find contacts in my global address book who were not contacts in my phone by just searching their name. If a contact was not a contact on my phone, the app would briefly say "searching on <domain>", before pulling up all contacts in my corporate address book that matched the search criteria
Now, I can only see contacts for whom I have a contact in Outlook, gmail etc versus everyone in my corporate library.
I AM able to see all contacts in my corporate library using an app called "Corporate Address Book", but this lacks many of the slick features (pictures, swipe to text) that "Contacts" has. This tells me that the problem isn't with the global address list itself, but rather with the app.
So far I have tried: *Double-checking all of my sync settings in the account *Double-checking that I am showing all contacts (for testing, I tried just showing contacts from my exchange account, that didn't work) *Removing the exchange account, re-adding it *Factory re-setting the phone *Clearing all certificates, reloading them
Note that immediately after I factory reset my phone, the contact app briefly behaved as expected. However, while my phone was auto-downloading my apps, it quickly stopped again.
This leads me to believe that it may be caused by a particular combination of apps/settings on my phone versus a problem with Android 5/S5s in particular.
It is annoying when you select a phone number from your history, contacts, or address book and the Bold auto dials the number. If you select the wrong number from the touch screen the phone auto dials the wrong selected number, and it is easy to do this on a touch screen.
I want to be able to launch the call from the phone call key so I can check the number before it is called. I want to be able to select a phone number and make sure I have the right one before the phone dials.
I just bought The Blackberry Bold, but when I get texts from contacts in my address book, it doesn't identify them by name, just by phone number. This was never a problem with my old Curve. Is there way to fix/adjust this?
After several years of easily syncing my BlackBerry Curve 8530 to my Mac, I suddenly can't do it. I get the following error message: The Address Book database cannot be accessed for synchronization. For help resolving this issue, refer to KB19454 in the BlackBerry Desktop Software Knowledge Base.I can't find KB19454 in the database. I can't find a way to call BlackBerry to resolve this. My Sprint store won't touch my Mac (and vice versa).
The first smartphone I got was the iPhone...The first iPhone that existed pretty much... I liked it but then I started a Telecom company and since we were partnered with Telus and I wanted to get paid a percentage of my bill, I switched over to the Blackberry WORLD PHONE...8830 if I'm not mistaken. I had a lot of issues with that phone and went through 9 of them until I got tired of it and switched back to the solid iPhone.Since then I got a Mac and my address book syncs with my phone. One of the only things stopping me right now from switching to the Blackberry 9900 is a question really.
#1. Can I sync my MAC address book with the Bold 9900?
#2. When I port over my 1650 contacts to my new phone, will all the notes and birthdays go with it..If it can't be done, I guess it's iPhone 5.
Curve 8530 on Verizon Wireless Access to Corporate resources and email via BESI also access Gmail from the deviceRight now I am not synching over the air - that has never worked. I'm using Desktop Manager, and recently downgraded to Version 5.01. When I connect the device and configure for Address Book sync the application starts the process, then craps out without synching. I've rebooted the PC, reloaded the application without success.
I just recently downloaded the BB DS6 and now my Address Book will not sync. On the Sync screen, it is grayed out and says "not installed". I never had this problem until I downloaded the new desktop software. I can't update my contacts from Outlook 2003 to my phone. Calendar, Memopad and Tasks sync fine.
I find that if I enter something on Outlook (using Windows), an entry in the Contacts or in the Calendar, it does sync with my ipad/iphone. But when I enter on the ipad/iphone, it does not sync with Outlook at all. I have resorted to emailing myself and then entering it when I'm at the computer. I've read here on the forums and tried various things but it doesn't seem to work.
I recently readded the newest version of Desktop Manager and am using the Blackberry Curve 3G. I have Windows Vista operating system and every time I try to use Intellisync to sync my Yahoo Address book with the device the program stops working. What am I doing wrong? I've tried to uninstall Desktop Manager and reinstall and it keeps happening.
I have S'ony Xperia X8. The address book icon desappear of the screen corner (emails/music/numbers and address book). How can I put it in that place again?
Since updating to Lollipop. my Exchange contacts are not syncing in my phone's stored contacts or with any apps outside of the stock email app. I have the "Sync contacts" box checked in the email app settings.
Trying to Sync via PC patch cable the BB Address Book (Contacts) with MS Outlook Contacts.Set-up failing apparently because wireless data sync with the Bold is turned ON. Can't locate referenced setting on the device to turn OFF.
I'm trying to organize my contacts and I want to replace all iphone contacts with address book contacts. every time I sync my phone it restores my old contacts.
i have a blackberry curve 8520. at the momment i have 288 contacts but i can not add more. I go to menu, address book, new contact, the window give me the options, i add the information (name, phone, email, etc) and when i want to save the contact it do not save
i tried to reboot removing the battery for a minute and restart but still with the same problem.
Also i figured out that when y sync my bb with the desktop manager, the address book is not sync it says (Adress book not installed) that is why i can not swipe the contacts to reinstall the info because i have no back up of the address book
Just got this phone and manually input all of my contacts with no problem. One day later, all those contacts are gone and it won't let me add more contacts. I have even tried adding them to my SIM and then copying them over...but still nothing.
I have a Blackberry hooked up to an Ent. Server; after going to contacts, it apears that I have none. Although, if I type in someones number, and call, their name comes up. So it look like they're there somewhere, because it's grabbing their information, but how do I put them all in the address book?
This is the error message showing when i try to add someone. And most of the time the phone just freezes. I cant add anyone neither can i edit the numbers.
i have blackberry 9810 and i want to send my contacts from my address book on my macbook pro to my blackberry . i installed the blackberry desktop software Then I connect my blacberry to my macbook pro and the sync started .the calender , notes , tasks was Synchronized and every thing was ok but the contacts didnt Synchronize and I do not know why..
I downloaded a CSV file of 2800 contacts to my new (used) BB 8700c. Turns out most of the contacts were garbled. I'd like to delete them all from the BB 8700c and start over. Is there any way to do a "select all" and then delete? Or even to shade multiple contact listings, scrolling down, and then delete? So far all I can see is being able to delete one by one, which would be impossible with 2800. My desktop manager software was installed for my BB Curve 8330 (Sprint). It seems to work partially for the BB 8700c (unlocked, formerly Cingular) but is unable to recognize applications on the device, and reports that a "certificate" is missing preventing use of the Media Manager (this may be because the 8700c does not have a camera so may not handle photos).
Yesterday I noticed that my iPhone had only about 25% of my usual contacts in it. I thought I would sync it today and make sure everything copied over well. Before syncing I checked address book on my mac to find that it was completely empty.
Any idea why these would be missing? I have a backup but it is from before I got my iPhone 2 weeks ago and had my contacts carried over from my old phone I can recover the contacts, but it would be a slow and long process and I don't want to have them go missing again.
I had done a 'RSET' to clear the contacts in the address book. Now I find that I am unable to save new contacts. Is there any way to resolve this problem without having to reinstall the OS.
While I connect my blackberry and see the contact in media, I could see all my contacts but I cant see my contacts from the phone. how to see all the contacts from device. Just to confirm that there is no filter enable on my phone.
i have bb curve 8520 and cant seem to add contacts at all does any one no wot i can do iv rebooted my fone to see if that sorted it but nothin any one got
