I've noticed when I send an email, recipient can see my complete email address and not my name and last name like usual. Is there a way to show my name instead of my address?

I recently had the $45 mo. data plan (including corporate email) with Verizon on my Blackberry Storm 2 9550 and i reduced it to the $30 plan. When i was under the $45 plan I had the enterprise activation on my device linking it to my Microsoft Outlook email over at work. All in all, I realized I didn't really need all of the linking up, but just needed to view my emails on the go.I ended up setting up an 'Other' email account with the address from work. It works just fine, but I'm now getting two of the same email from work over and over. I have a feeling it has to do with the previous enterprise activation linking it to my work 'Desktop'.Is there a way around this without having to reset my BlackBerry?

View 5 Replies View RelatedFrom my desktop computer I use a USB cable to synchronize my Outlook contacts, calendar and tasks to my Storm2. I also have a laptop computer and use BlueTooth to synchronize it's Outlook contacts, calendar and tasks with the Storm2. The synchronization seems work fine. I wanted to access my personal email so I set it up by selecting SET UP then EMAIL SETTINGS and followed the wizard. It worked perfectly but it also created another calendar which seems to be associated to the new email address. This caused problems when trying to synchronize, my desktop was updating one calendar while the laptop was updating the other. When I deleted the email address the extra claendar was also deleted. Am I missing something, why is a second calendar created when I setup an email account?

I went to my email settings on My Blackberry and put in what I thought was the password, but that failed. I tried a couple of others, but those failed also. Then I went to the Blackberry Internet Service website and reset my password there, but it still did not work. I noticed when I went to "Account Details" on the Blackberry website, the password was only 10 characters long, nothing close to any passwords that I might have used. I have Verizon Wireless, but should maybe mention that my email address has been supported by AT & T U-Verse for the last few years, and one month ago I cancelled U-Verse internet and went with someone else. View 4 Replies View RelatedI like my E72 but I have two problems that really annoy me.
1. In the past when ever I would write a new email I would get list of suggested email addresses in the "To" field. For example, if I would was to write the letter S I would get the email address of the people in my address book whose name starts with an S (sam, Sofia etc). for some reason this feature stopped working on my phone and I can't find how to make it work again. if I want to send an email I need to manually write the email address in the "To" field. The auto suggestion feature works perfectly on my wife's phone (an E72 with the same firmware - 22.007) but on my phone it won't suggest email addresses from my contacts.
2. Another problem is that my Gmail that is synced to the phone, through the Nokia Messenger server is locked on "hide emails older than 2 weeks". Now, I have hundreds of emails stored on my phone that dates to February 1st - the day I got the Phone.
Is there a way to delete these emails automatically, without deleting them on the Gmail account itself? It makes my phone really when going through the emails.

When I pull a contact from my Exchange server it only shows the user name and a few phone numbers. It does not show the address. I know there are addresses because every exchange contact has one. Is there a way for the iPhone to display the address by default? A lot of times I need to look at where the user is located. Of course I can save a contact and add an address in, but I work for a very large company and there are hundreds and hundreds of users. Cannot add them all. there is a way to display the address. Coming from a Blackberry I was able to do this very easily and every contact field was displayed. Not sure why the Iphone is just selecting the contact name and phone numbers only. Doesn't Apple think an iPhone user would want to see the contacts address too?

View 7 Replies View RelatedEverything worked fine with my old pc - Windows Vista w/Outlook for contacts. I bought a new Windows 7 pc and now use Windows LiveMail for contacts. I was able to import my Outlook contacts into LiveMail. But when I try to synchronize my pc and BB the only synchronization options I see are Yahoo and OutlookExpress - no LiveMail option. I selected OutlookExpress and it seemed to work - the BB Desktop Manager found the right # of contacts and identified some record conflicts. It then said the synchronization was successful. But there are still many records which are only on the pc or only on the device, no new records were added. How can I resolve this?

I backed up all contacts in my address book by using blackberry desktop software and then did the "Wipe Handheld" from my phone, but still when you try to add a new contact when you dont have any contacts on the phone it does not respond (in some cases the phone freezes) and i have to remove battery and start the phone again. again if I try to add any contacts it wont let me edit or create new contacts. I just recently downloaded the BB DS6 and now my Address Book will not sync. On the Sync screen, it is grayed out and says "not installed". I never had this problem until I downloaded the new desktop software. I can't update my contacts from Outlook 2003 to my phone. Calendar, Memopad and Tasks sync fine.
View 4 Replies View RelatedApparently, sometime during or after I installed the OS update on my Storm 2 (Platform 4.2.0.442, OS 5.0.0.1015), something went horribly wrong so that I started to get error messages when I try to sync my Contacts to Outlook 2007 via BB Desktop Software. After many frustrating hours troubleshooting and following recommendations from user forums, I followed the last suggestion and wiped the device clean using BBSAK and installed a fresh OS downloaded from the BB website.
I then cleaned up my Outlook address book and compressed the main Outlook mail pst file (containing the Contacts), just to get a clean Outlook Contacts file (which by the way works just fine in Outlook with about 900 contacts). I can still sync my Calendar, MemoPad and Tasks list from Outlook, but it can't even find the Address Book file for mapping any longer. When I try to map an Address Book folder in BB Desktop SW, I get: Microsoft Outlook Connector Error "One or more configured folders is not available. Update folder mapping and try again". However the "Map folder" button is gray and I can't find any place to set up the connection to the Outlook Contacts.Where do I need to go and what do I have to do to get my contacts back on my BB? Without my phone book this "Smartphone" is of not much use to me!
