I'd like to report a bug... the autodectection on the mail account doesn't work well, when using MS Exchange Server...
It only finds the Mail Account, but doesn't sync Calendar and Contacts...after this worked like a charm on my old S4..

I have an Xperia Z5 (E6653) and I have a microsoft office 365 (business version) account that manages all my email, calendar & contacts. I setup the account through the built in "gmail" app because the contacts & calendar would not sync at all through the native mail app.

The problem I have is that I can see & call my exchange contacts with no problems, they sync fine from the server, but I can't make any changes to the contacts via the phone's native "contacts" app, the edit symbol is there but when i tap the symbol it takes me to the next sreen (edit screen) and from there the screen is basically useless, all the details are grey and un-editable *screenshot attached* ....
My Galaxy S5 is set up to synchronize with my Microsoft exchange server. Emails synchronize perfectly and calendar events entered on my Microsoft exchange account synchronize with my Galaxy S5. The problem is, calendar events entered on my Galaxy S5 do not synchronize to my Microsoft Exchange calendar.

Unfortunalety it does not sync calendar and contacts automatically. It only syncs when I reboot the tablet, or when I turn off and on syncing manually in the settings.My provider uses an Open-Xchange server. My Android mobile phone syncs perferctly well with it.
I have iphone with 5.1 and latest version of itunes and use a gmail account. I was using gmail directly to sync mail and calendar but this didn't (or at least I could find a way to) sync my gmail contacts to my phone contacts so i decided to use Exchange. I deleted my gmail account from my phone and added the Exchange account, following all the instructions on many websites like this one [url]. I selected 'ON' for mail, contacts and calendars. When I refresh contacts and calendar on iphone nothing happens. When I go in mail and refresh that it comes up with 'Cannot Get Mail. The connection to the server failed.'. I deleted the account and reset up in case i messed anything up but it's still not working.

remember the old days when you could get a dumbphone (non Blackberry, Android, IPhone) and a USB or serial phone data cable and some software that would sync your dumbphones calendar to your Outlook or Exchange calendar application through the cable or bluetooth?Everything now that does that seems to be only smartphones and then you need a data plan and internet access.
I just have a standard USC phone, but I'd like to populate my phone's calendar with Outlook appointments and meetings.It seems the carriers intentionally cripple the phones just enough to make data transfer through the manufacturers USB cable not work with any applications out there.

View 1 Replies View RelatedDid a software update this morning on my Bold 9900. When I went to Sync, I received a Synchronization Error message as it was synching the calendar. There was no number only an appointment date and event which does not exist in either Outlook 2010 or the Blackberry calendar. Upon receiving the error message, the synch stops. I did a replace all calendar events from the computer to the device, which went fine. But the problem was not resolved. I deleted all calendar events from the device, then did a replace all calendar events from the computer to the device, but that did not solve the problem.

For the contacts everything works fine, but the calender just doesn't synchronize properly. The events from my Outlook calender are taken to my phone, but all the calenders from my phone won't appear in Outlook.

About every second time I synchronize my N96 with both my PC and my contacts on ovi.com, ovi suite states an error. ("Synchronization failed ...")
In general, synchronizing contacts between ovi suite and ovi.com is taking ages.
I think reliabiliy and speed of this feature still needs A LOT of improvement...
(Although that applies to some other features as well... for example bluetooth connection, which is completely useless for me: /t5/Nokia-Ovi-Suite/bluetooth-sync-extremely-slow/m-p/656359)
I just bought a 9930 Bold an am trying to sync my contacts from Microsoft Outlook using Blackberry Desktop Software. I can only sync about half of them and then I get a message " Synchronization Error - An error has occurred during an attempt to access a file on the computer". The sync was working perfectly with my old 9650 Bold. I am able to sync calendar, notes and tasks O.K. but just have this problem with the contacts.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have bought BB Torch 9810 recently. And dowloaded latest version of BB Desktop software. I tried to synchronize the BB contact with Outlook 2007. However, it is taking 5 hours or more to do the same. And even after giving so much of time, it gives errors and only partial contacts are transferred to Outlook. (Previously I was using BB Torch and the sync was just taking 2-3 minutes).

I have since double checked this under email setup to make sure they are not being synchronized.However, when I compose a message on my phone, a list of "contacts" appears as I type - so if I start with an "M", a list of contacts that start with M appear underneath. My problem is that some of these are not contacts I have specifically added on the blackberry (i.e. they are from my other email accounts), and others are not even contacts, but merely people who have sent me an email once before (such as a company I once bought a product from).I know this isn't a huge problem, but it is really bothering me, and I think it's a bit strange to see a list of people who are not on any contact list I have. I had a Curve for 3 years until now, and never had this problem.

With this it is possible to synchronize messages, music and pictures.
