May 22, 2012I am unable to sync my mac address book to my iphone. Iv'e tried restoring the phone, enable/disable icloud, but to no avail. I do have a microsoft exchange acct to recieve my work email. If I turn off Icloud and disable the Microsoft Ex contacts, I have NO contacts on my phone.

Apr 3, 2012I have configured in my iPhone settings to sync my mail, contacts and Calendars with my Google account, and it works when I input new data on my computer, but when I enter new contacts or dates on my iPhone, it doesn't translate to my computer. How can I get it to sync "both ways"? (BTW, iTunes recognizes the iPhone, as does iPhoto, so that's not the problem).

Apr 19, 2012When I try to sync my iPhone with my computer, Contacts entries are not being transferred to my Mac's Address Book. They are, however, going from Address book to the iPhone I don't understand why. Here is my set up:
Computer: OS X 10.6.8
iTunes: 10.6.1
Settings in iTunes: Synch all contacts is on. Everything else contact related is off. Back up to computer is on. Back up to iCloud is off.

Jun 8, 2012I recently went into the lake with my iPhone 4 in my pocket. I tried the rice trick, but no luck. Although I do still have my very first iPhone the 1st Gen. I went into the AT&T store to give me a new SIM for it and it started up. When I went home to sync it to my computer, I couldn't restore it from my iPhone 4 because the software was too old on the 1st Gen. It is on 3.1.3 and will not allow me to go any higher. My biggest problem is syncing my contacts from Address Book. It will not allow my in the info tab. It says sync contacts but nothing from my address book is there. Only Yahoo and Google options. How do I get my Address Book on here?

Jun 29, 2012Using Lion, I recently dropped Outlook 2011 in favor of Mail (did not uninstall though, do not want to).My problem is this, iTunes and iPhone won't sync with Address Book, they remain stuck on syncing with the Outlook address book. The issue is only for the address book, the iPhone syncs fine with iCal for some reason.

Jun 4, 2014I have a really old 3Gs that will not sync contacts (or even offer the option of syncing to) my gmail contacts. I've tried everything. I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, I reset my phone's settings. I made gmail the default email account on my phone and changed the port to 443. The only option it offers is my Windows Address Book, which apparently isn't even a thing anymore (it's now Windows contacts).I don't want to pay for the cloud because I don't think I'll have this phone much longer and I can't afford a new (or even used) iPhone...

If I fill out the address field on my phone, then it doesn't complete the relevent fields on the web site. The address fields on the web site are different to the phone and fields on the site are not supported by the phone's address book.
It seems like the two are running different software and are slightly incompatible

I have my Yahoo account linked, but now I don't actually want anything to do with Yahoo (or Google) when it comes to my contacts: all I want is contacts on my phone and on my Mac, nothing else. BB Storm :: Address Book Won't Sync
Nov 10, 2011Everything worked fine with my old pc - Windows Vista w/Outlook for contacts. I bought a new Windows 7 pc and now use Windows LiveMail for contacts. I was able to import my Outlook contacts into LiveMail. But when I try to synchronize my pc and BB the only synchronization options I see are Yahoo and OutlookExpress - no LiveMail option. I selected OutlookExpress and it seemed to work - the BB Desktop Manager found the right # of contacts and identified some record conflicts. It then said the synchronization was successful. But there are still many records which are only on the pc or only on the device, no new records were added. How can I resolve this?

Aug 28, 2010I can't sync my address book with Outlook anymore. It gets to "Reading from Microsoft Outlook Address Book - Record 13 of 111 Records" and then stalls out with an error code - 0x80043ac9. Its the same thing EVERY time, but I think it has to be something in the berry, cause I've tried on 2 computers and no go (exactly the same errors). Any idea's what might be wrong, or what I might be able to do to fix this?

Aug 23, 2011I have a problem to sync my contact list using Blackberry Desktop Software. the problem is only 29 out of my 300+ contacts are synced. In my BB phone i noticed that in "Contacts/Options" there are two Contact Lists both with the name "Desktop". the first one has 29 entries and the "Wireless Synchronization" option is available but for the second contact list which has the rest of my contacts, the "Wireless Synchronization" is not available ! it seems that Blackberry Desktop Software can not sync with the second Contact List because of this.

I notice my BB still deletes some entries even tho I have it set to NEVER delete entries.I use Live.com (Hotmail) for my email if that makes a difference and I have about 4 or 5 different email accounts.

After experiencing some problems I decided to start from cero and deleted all contacts of my yahoo address book. I then synchronized with the Blackberry desktop manager (arrow pointing out in both directions) and loaded all data from the device (address book) to yahoo.
When I do changes using my PC directly in yahoo and then sync with device all works apparently OK, e.g. if I modify a name adding a surname that will be synchronized correctly in the device, however the changes I do in an existing record in my device with the sync won't be done in yahoo.
What shall I do to have all changes done to my device's adress book in the yahoo account.

Dec 13, 2010I have a Blackberry Storm 2 in which I loaded another Gmail address, sometime there after I tried to sync my storm with my laptop and received an error a quarter of the way through the sync of my contacts. When I received this error I checked my contacts on my device and they were all gone! I have since spent about 6 hours doing a clean install of my desktop software and device software all of which has yielded no results. I am still receiving the same error.

Aug 10, 2011New here and a tad bit upset with my failure to synch the address book. I had it in originally, I used a 'skype out' product to export skype contacts to Outlook, then I usefully synced to Outlook, but had a bunch of repeated addresses. Found a solution to delete address book and to reimport from Outlook. Successfully deleted address book on BB. Tires to sync but now it fails to do so. I have reinstall 1, battery, 2, SIM card, 3 desktop program. The synch starts - to be certain- I even go so far as the option to approve the sync or snot. Then it begins to do the syncing and the countdown of addresses yet to by synced clicks downward, as it should, then there's a 'bink' sound, and then nothing, and I check my BB, and no addresses have moved over. I have tried SEVRAL TIMES even 'syncing all' I have arranged for the synch to be for the addresses only. I have arranged for it to be from the computer to the BB. Hopeless. Extremely frustrated.
