Using Lion, I recently dropped Outlook 2011 in favor of Mail (did not uninstall though, do not want to).My problem is this, iTunes and iPhone won't sync with Address Book, they remain stuck on syncing with the Outlook address book. The issue is only for the address book, the iPhone syncs fine with iCal for some reason.

I can't sync my address book with Outlook anymore. It gets to "Reading from Microsoft Outlook Address Book - Record 13 of 111 Records" and then stalls out with an error code - 0x80043ac9. Its the same thing EVERY time, but I think it has to be something in the berry, cause I've tried on 2 computers and no go (exactly the same errors). Any idea's what might be wrong, or what I might be able to do to fix this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedNew here and a tad bit upset with my failure to synch the address book. I had it in originally, I used a 'skype out' product to export skype contacts to Outlook, then I usefully synced to Outlook, but had a bunch of repeated addresses. Found a solution to delete address book and to reimport from Outlook. Successfully deleted address book on BB. Tires to sync but now it fails to do so. I have reinstall 1, battery, 2, SIM card, 3 desktop program. The synch starts - to be certain- I even go so far as the option to approve the sync or snot. Then it begins to do the syncing and the countdown of addresses yet to by synced clicks downward, as it should, then there's a 'bink' sound, and then nothing, and I check my BB, and no addresses have moved over. I have tried SEVRAL TIMES even 'syncing all' I have arranged for the synch to be for the addresses only. I have arranged for it to be from the computer to the BB. Hopeless. Extremely frustrated.

I recently went into the lake with my iPhone 4 in my pocket. I tried the rice trick, but no luck. Although I do still have my very first iPhone the 1st Gen. I went into the AT&T store to give me a new SIM for it and it started up. When I went home to sync it to my computer, I couldn't restore it from my iPhone 4 because the software was too old on the 1st Gen. It is on 3.1.3 and will not allow me to go any higher. My biggest problem is syncing my contacts from Address Book. It will not allow my in the info tab. It says sync contacts but nothing from my address book is there. Only Yahoo and Google options. How do I get my Address Book on here?

View 2 Replies View RelatedApparently, sometime during or after I installed the OS update on my Storm 2 (Platform 4.2.0.442, OS 5.0.0.1015), something went horribly wrong so that I started to get error messages when I try to sync my Contacts to Outlook 2007 via BB Desktop Software. After many frustrating hours troubleshooting and following recommendations from user forums, I followed the last suggestion and wiped the device clean using BBSAK and installed a fresh OS downloaded from the BB website.
I then cleaned up my Outlook address book and compressed the main Outlook mail pst file (containing the Contacts), just to get a clean Outlook Contacts file (which by the way works just fine in Outlook with about 900 contacts). I can still sync my Calendar, MemoPad and Tasks list from Outlook, but it can't even find the Address Book file for mapping any longer. When I try to map an Address Book folder in BB Desktop SW, I get: Microsoft Outlook Connector Error "One or more configured folders is not available. Update folder mapping and try again". However the "Map folder" button is gray and I can't find any place to set up the connection to the Outlook Contacts.Where do I need to go and what do I have to do to get my contacts back on my BB? Without my phone book this "Smartphone" is of not much use to me!
I recently updated my bb to bold 9930. When I synch the new bb with my outlook address book on my home computer it does not update the deletions, but adds the changes -- so I have a longer address book yet again.
I think that I need to delete the current address book on the bb bold, and then add the revised outlook address book to the bb bold. In essence, overwriting the current address book on the bb bold.

I have a really old 3Gs that will not sync contacts (or even offer the option of syncing to) my gmail contacts. I've tried everything. I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, I reset my phone's settings. I made gmail the default email account on my phone and changed the port to 443. The only option it offers is my Windows Address Book, which apparently isn't even a thing anymore (it's now Windows contacts).I don't want to pay for the cloud because I don't think I'll have this phone much longer and I can't afford a new (or even used) iPhone...

If I fill out the address field on my phone, then it doesn't complete the relevent fields on the web site. The address fields on the web site are different to the phone and fields on the site are not supported by the phone's address book.
It seems like the two are running different software and are slightly incompatible
After iOS 5 and this whole iCloud business, my contacts on my iPhone have become a mess... I can no longer add a contact on my phone and expect it to be added to my Address Book automatically after the next sync, and the whole 'Groups' thing confuses the crap out of me. I have my Yahoo account linked, but now I don't actually want anything to do with Yahoo (or Google) when it comes to my contacts: all I want is contacts on my phone and on my Mac, nothing else. Everything worked fine with my old pc - Windows Vista w/Outlook for contacts. I bought a new Windows 7 pc and now use Windows LiveMail for contacts. I was able to import my Outlook contacts into LiveMail. But when I try to synchronize my pc and BB the only synchronization options I see are Yahoo and OutlookExpress - no LiveMail option. I selected OutlookExpress and it seemed to work - the BB Desktop Manager found the right # of contacts and identified some record conflicts. It then said the synchronization was successful. But there are still many records which are only on the pc or only on the device, no new records were added. How can I resolve this?
