Well I donwloaded Facebook and AIM apps but when I go to use them I cant because of some thing to do with my sevice provider, I dont wanna use the service provider though I wanna use WiFi, how do I do this?
View 1 RepliesWeirdest thing I've ever experienced with a smart phone. EXCLUSIVELY while using the Wi-fi at my house, I am unable to see pictures and load profiles on Facebook and Instagram while on my G3. Other apps don't seem to have this issue. It all works flawlessly on any other wi-fi or while using 4G. Also, the internet here works flawlessly for every other device in my house (PC, PS4, Xbox, etc).
I can use Messenger pretty much just fine, although it takes forever to send and receive pictures through it.
What on earth could possibly cause this issue? It's ONLY on MY wi-fi, and it's ONLY those apps.
i a new user of bb curve 8520.. why i cannot user facebook by using Wifi?

I've been using a Curve 8520 for nearly a year now, and have absolutely no problems with it (other than the trackpad not working from time to time). A couple days ago, someone gifted me a Curve 3G 9300, so I transferred all my data over and got it started. As working on social networks is part of my job, the first thing I did is download the Facebook and Twitter apps. Problem is neither of them work. The apps tell me I need a data plan for them to work. I've seen this issue across various boards, but everyone that had it actually didn't have a data plan; I do. I put my SIM back into my 8520, and everything works fine, but when I put it in the 9300, none of the social media apps work

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have blackberry curve 8900 version 4.6.1.114 and i'm using the older version of facebook blackberry version 1.6.0 because i've read that you can use wifi with the older facebook version without data plan. however i still can't connect. it says "could not connect because a data service is not available...etc" i tried to turned it off and remove the sim card and battery however it's still not resolved. is there any other way i can use facebook blackberry using wifi?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Curve 8520 and just recently the internet doesn't work and neither does BBM and any app that needs the internet like Facebook and Twitter, emails and BB App World doesnt work properly too. I also noticed that in the top right hand corner where the coverage bars are it has gprs instead of GPRS as it normally says. I've tried rebooting it at least 10 times now, nothing seems to work!

I say seemed since it has been reported on this board that it may return when the "service books" are updated...I'm new to BBs. I just purchased it today and against my better judgment installed FAcebook (FB). After getting a deluge of mindless drivel pushed to my new BB I decided FB was not coming near my BB again.So I found the icon - menu - delete. I restart the BB as instructed and to my surprise the icon is still there.I tried to move the icon into a folder but I don't know how to move it because the menu button does nothing when I select the icon and press menu.
And there are some FB messages too. I deleted the FB messages - when I check my messages it reports I have no messages in FB ... BUT there is a little FB icon at the top of the screen showing one message. This one message seems to be relic but I have no idea how to reset or delete it.I also tried the BB desktop software. It shows that it is uninstalled. There appears to be no way of deleting icon, moving the icon, or deleting the FB message indicator either.

I have even tried going to the home screen of the internet an clicking on Facebook an it does the same thing, but if i type Facebook in search bar I can use Facebook. I have did all of the troubleshooting tips. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the apps.I have did the factory reset. i also contacted the creators of the game and they could not find anything wrong with the game.

I have an Iphone 4s and it is unjailbroken or unlocked etc just normal iphone, it started last night when it started being unable to identify any servers on my emails facebook twitter yahoo google etc etc, then facebook and twitter would open but not load any pages and there would be a "network" issue. Now in the morning it won't any webpages at all and still wont load facebook or any videos or pictures and also this morning a new problem has started where my phone will send a message but it will immediately disappear and I cant see it anymore

Twitter and facebook apps worked just fine on wifi. I don't have a data plan. Then Rogers gave me 2 months of free data plan. Now that the 2 months have ended, the twitter, facebook apps along with a few others only work sporadically on wifi for the last 2 weeks. They do not necessarily connect to the internet (network unavailable), even when the browser does connect. It seems the apps are having problems but the browser is doing okay. After a reboot, it works for an hour or so before losing connection. Then it can be a day and multiple reboots before it comes back.

It is only Facebook that I have this problem with, YouTube and any videos played over safari I have no issues playing.Â

When I open an app it opens from the bottom to the top real slowly, when I close it it goes to the bottom slowly and goes away. I hate that, not sure how that happened but it just started today. How can I make it open and close normally?
