When I open an app it opens from the bottom to the top real slowly, when I close it it goes to the bottom slowly and goes away. I hate that, not sure how that happened but it just started today. How can I make it open and close normally?

I am bothered with the facebook app not following lollipop's open/close animations.
All apps close and open with the same animations, except facebook which just pops out of nowhere. I also got this issue with my gpe m8. Is there any reason for this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI did both Lollipop updates, wiped the cache partition and did a factory reset after each update.. and still things are not quite right.
When I press the recent apps button it shows the recent apps - fine. But after I pull the battery and restart the phone, shouldn't there be nothing showing? Because even after taking the battery out and restarting it shows me a whole bunch...some that I didn't even have open before.
I also notice that the top two things showing in the GSAM Battery Monitor App Usage are Android System (14-18%) and Kernel (Android OS) (12-15%).
I'm having various other issues too.. it tends to get pretty hot. Sometimes I can be typing an email and then suddenly the phone takes me back to my inbox and what I was typing is gone..
I was wanting to see if this changes the battery life but i am not able to uninstall the apps on my AT&T S6?
View 18 Replies View RelatedIf you are texting with the keyboard open, autocompletions come up on the bottom of your screen.If you then hit "home" or "back" a few times, you will be at the home screen. But, if your keyboard is still open, the auto suggestions are still there!Even more annoying, if you actually click on them, they will go back into your texting program that isn't even on the screen. The next time you go in there, additional words may be in the input box.To get rid of it, opening the browser and hitting back seems to work, sometimes. Closing the keyboard also gets rid of it...but it will come right back if you open the keyboard again.
View 4 Replies View RelatedOn the app icons for Facebook and Email, I have orange circles with a number in them showing new emails or Facebook notifications. I want to make the orange FB notifications DISAPPEAR. My belief is that since I see that orange # show up so frequently, with every new comment to a FB post, that my device must be pushing notifications and checking FB every 10 minutes, wearing down my battery. So I would like to end that.
I have already:
1.Gone to App Settings > Refresh Interval and said NEVER
2.Gone to App Settings > Notifications and choose INACTIVE
3.Gone to Account Settings > Notifications > Mobile Push and UNCHECKED everything
I have also gone to Device Settings > Applications > Application Manager > Facebook and UNCHECKED Show Notifications.
The same orange circle with number of new emails show on my email icon, but I don't mind that so much. However, if I can disable it, perhaps I can find my way to disable on Facebook.
I know there was a way to do this on my one x, but can't seem to figure it out on the one.
View 24 Replies View RelatedOk, to try and clarify...I have had all of the Samsung Galaxy S phones except the S5. I've moved all my photos & screen shots from them to my pc over time, generally via Kies or usb transfer. I've noticed that I have now got a huge number of .png files dated from about 2012 onwards that I can't open. Previous png files can be opened-they appear to be screenshots or the like. So I don't know what has happened. They can't be opened using any of the options on my pc. (I recently changed to Windows 10 from 8, but it was doing this prior to that) I can't re save them because they can't be opened, nor does changing the file name allow them to be opened.
I've also noticed that my current S6 makes all my screenshots .png files as well. The only way around this at the moment is to upload them to Google drive and change it to a jpeg file at the time. I have to do this for each shot one at a time. I'm assuming I can then move these across from Google drive as jpeg.
So, I need to know how to change the default on my S6 from .png to .jpeg for screen shots. How to change my previous .png files back to jpeg so I can open them! I have copied all of them to a usb stick and tried to open them on my work computer, but that also won't open them under any program. I realise that isn't an Android issue in itself, but as all of these images have come from my Galaxy S phones originally, I don't want to delete them without being able to see them as I might want to keep them...but without knowing what they are...
I just got the 6s today. I went to the facebook app that was already on the phone and followed the steps to download the app. The phone goes through all the motions to download the app, it even shows it downloading. Once it reaches 43mb a notification pops up saying could not Install. It then give me the choice to try later or retry now. I have read other forum Posts saying to clear cache and restarting the phone. But still no luck. What could be wrong? I have Ino talked other apps today with no problem.

While typing face up, there are certain sections on the keyboard that would repeat the letter that I just typed again. At first I thought I was just typing fast but after testing it slowly it still did the same thing.This only happens for the letters situated near the middle. Then I tried dragging around some of my apps and noticed that the apps near the middle can not be dragged around. Apps at the top and bottom can move around freely until it reaches that certain section near the middle where it just releaes the dragged apps.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently updated to Software version G900PV-83BOK4 on my Galaxy S5. Ever since the update, I cannot access Facebook unless on wireless connections. All other Apps work fine. When accessing Facebook I receive a message that says, 'Can't connect right now.'
I've tried various things and can't seem to correct. There is a similar thread on Facebook for all Android devices, but no one seems to have a solution.
It's only just started doing it. As I use the gallery quite a lot it is becoming very difficult to find my photos and pictures.
View 2 Replies View Relatedso I was going to buy gta for my s5 I started to download it but I did not know that it would take up 2.4 GB wile I had like 1 GB so I did not have enough space and I would just get an error so I deleted tons of apps till I got 1.2 something GB when I tryed to download the app again it said it was downloading and would take 2.4 GB but I had 1.2 so once it reached 1.2GB/2.4GB it gave the not enough space error so, I checked to see how much space I had, well... i had 109 MB... yep. GG google playstore. GG. so I refunded gta (gives my money back AND uninstalls it) and checked back at my storage... still 109 MB. How do I delete this 1.2 GB unfinished file off my phone?? I looked all over my phone and can't figure it out. I am rooted on s5 Verizon by the way.

Whenever I use the camera app or view snaps on snapchat the bottom of my 4S screen flickers and jumps.
When on the camera the top of the camera app which normally has flash settings, HDR mode and switch camera stays on the top and moves to the bottom and the screen flickers but it only happens on the rear facing camera when I change to Front Facing Camera it goes fine and then on snapchat when I view stories and snaps it does the same thing and on the camera.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI had an authorized seller replace the broken screen on my iPhone 4S, but now the bottom dock of icons is unresponsive. Weird thing is that I can't access the icons on the dock, nor open the lantern / calculator / clock / camera on the icons when I pull up the quick menu, but aside from that, that part of the screen works ... I can use the keyboard completely, you name it, everything except the icons on the dock and the bottom ones on the pull up menu ! Â
The guy who fixed my screen said it must be a software glitch, but I've restarted and restored the phone (from backup and as a new one) and the problem is still there !Â
Any chance he messed up something while changing the screen ?Â
Also, iPhone isn't (and has never been) jailbroken or anything of the sorts
