When I upload jpeg pictures from my pc to my samsung s5 out of 93 only 5 open up the rest are a black screen with mountain image and exclamation mark. I have deleted from sd card and tried 3 times with same results
View 4 RepliesI'm using 2.3.6 on my first Android phone. I moved some photos from my PC to the phone (no SD card) and during the copy process I received a message - "may not be compatible with device". I can see them in my gallery but get no response when I try to select one of them for wallpaper. If I tap it, the photo is isolated and that's it. No response from menu icon. There are forward/backward arrows at bottom of screen and tapping them just gets me the date I copied the photo to the phone.

If I open "My Files" in the Applications folder, the photos are present (but not visible) as jpeg files. When I open the SD card in my PC each jpeg is present as a 2GB file (approx.), but again, can't be opened. How do I get to se my holiday snaps?

The same thing happens when I try to upload a video on Youtube from my computer. These are relatively small files - 10 - 15 minutes each!
At least when I upload videos from my computer it starts uploading very slowly, says it will take 2-3 hours, and stops at 16%.

It's strange because when I minimize the Gallery app, you can see it revert to the richer color version of the photo. I don't get it? When I started looking at the folder structure on my phone while I had it connected to my computer, I found pictures in other folders. How many different folders are used to store pictures and is there a way I can get them to save to the same place so I can transfer them more easily. The ones that seem to be in different folders are the ones I've saved from texts and emails. They're in 2 different folders. I'm worried that I'm going to miss others because I don't know where they are.

Stationary shots are fine, but I have 2 dogs and like to photograph them running around and doing their thing, and so far the S5 has been terrible with results. I've tried every setting on the phone. I've DL the 'Sports Shot' mode, but still all I get is a heap of blurry shots. In an hour at the local doggy park I'll take 50 - 60 shots and end up keeping 3 or 4 as the rest are blurred.
Now I REALLY want this phone to work for me, but as I say I'm not having much luck with pics, the video is fine, but yeah, not cutting it with the pictures...

I was always able to upload pics to Facebook on my Electrify with no problems...all of the sudden, everytime I try to upload a pic to FB, I get an error. Says...Upload Error...Upload could not be completed. Is there something that I should reset?

View 9 Replies View RelatedEver since getting my sg2, I have always had a problem with the 3g. My phone when it connects proceeds only to upload, showing only the green arrow pointing up. This happens randomly, and it happens across all the different platforms of network connection the sg2 has. The issue is incredibly annoying as my phone can't download data, meaning I cant access the internet. The issue when it happens does seem to correct itself after sometime and with me fiddling around with it, but I am yet to find a permanent solution to fix the problem. My friend recommended I turn of data and turn it back on, which does work but is very hit and miss, and the issue can still very much be present when I turn data back on. The only solution which seems to work 100% of the time is turning the phone off and on again, however this is pointlessly annoying and quite a nuisance.

I get error messages that say "Sorry and error occurred. Please try again. if the error persists there may be a problem with the file you're try to access." I've tested this by sending pics to both my phone and CC'ing my mail on my PC and the files are not corrupt as I can open them on my PC.
