Aug 8, 2011I just purchase my sg2 phone yesterday. Unfortunately, my brother has used my phone last night and register the Samsung account in it by using his email or id. When I tried to change the account, it cannot be done cause I have to do the factory reset in privacy setting (which will erase all my personal info and downloaded applications). I don't want that to happen as well. Plus, my my brother can't even remember what the password he has used for the Samsung account I'm very pissed off now that my Samsung account belong to him and the fact that I can't do the factory reset because of him. I'll mention again, he forgot the password he used for MY SAMSUNG ACCOUNT IN MY SG2.

May 25, 2015I was saving my Samsung Galaxy S5 holiday pictures onto a micro SD card, but nearly all can only be seen as an icon that looks like a lightning bolt going through a Droid image. If I open "My Files" in the Applications folder, the photos are present (but not visible) as jpeg files. When I open the SD card in my PC each jpeg is present as a 2GB file (approx.), but again, can't be opened. How do I get to se my holiday snaps?

May 19, 2015I have my work email setup on my phone using their webmail address. If I use the standard address, i am required to have Maas360 installed, which is not an option with me being rooted. Anyways, if I have the email program I use, which is either Nine or Mail Wise, setup for ActiveSync, my business server will catch it and block me. So, I have to setup the email app to scan for new emails every X minutes.
The problem I am running into, is I did not know that I had to have ActiveSync turned off, so now my device is banned when using Nine mail. So, I tried the same with Mail Wise, and got banned again. Now, on my third app, AquaMail, I have realized the problem, and its working great.
However, I would prefer to use Nine mail. When trying to go back into Nine and recreate my account, i get an error that my device is blocked. I get the same error on Mail Wise. Both list a different Device ID. NineXXXXXXX and MailWiseXXXXXXXX. Is there a way to change this ID? I tried creating a new ID in Titanium Backup and that didn't change the IDs in the mail apps.

Mar 30, 2012On my Android Eeepad tablet I can change the DNS by long-pressing the router id in WI-FI settings, then select the DNS1 field and insert a new DNS.But the hard-press routine doesn't work with my Galaxy SII. I can't find a way to get at the DNS setting. The only option that pops up is Forget Network.I want to set up my unrooted SII with a DNS from unotelly.com so that I can use their system to let me access Netflix USA from Canada. Although I can achieve access while at home merely by changing the DNS setting in my router, I'm not always on my home network and would like the SII to be able to access the unotelly DNS when I'm elsewhere.

Apr 29, 2015I often find myself waking out with a locked up phone. I use fingerprint and no matter how many times I reset my alternative password, it somehow magically changes and I cannot 'remember' it.
I used to lock my phone with android devide manager to fix this but now when i try to do so it says ''Since Google has confirmed that the screen lock is already set, entered password will not be required '' and now i cannot unlock my phone by entering a new password. I dont' want to do a factory reset, what is up with this?????
I really do not want to lose any of my data.

May 13, 2012When I want to manually set the screen brightness (or change the "mode", called "sk�rmtilstand" in Danish), changes have no effect. The brightness bar is greyed out. Also, I have noticed that turning of "system battery saving" (the first of the two options offered under energy saving in the settings) changes have no effect.
I am running the SII with ICS.

Nov 7, 2011So I ended up returning my GS2 today to upgrade to the GS2 skyrocket since the phone was announced a couple days after getting mine. Made the trade and got $50 back since it was on sale suh-weet!Anyways first thing i did was turn off auto brightness. Normally on my GS2 i would just adjust it myself via the notification bar. Well I decided to go to settings>display then tried to click on brightness. Brightness is greyed out and unclickable. What is up with this? I can change it via the notication bar or the widget to set brightnesses from it, but cant go through settings display to change it.
