There is a way to change de write color of the Lollipop 5.1 keyboard? maybe a theme?
I know that i can use swiftkey(I always did) but i prefer avoid it till fix for vulnerability .
I am not rooted.
I know on other phones you can change the notification led light. Im wondering if you can do it for the samsung 6.

I just bought a Samsung galaxy s2 and I am trying to figure out how to get emoticons on the keyboard. Before this phone I had an iphone 4 and I assumed that the galaxy worked in the same way as you just download an emoticon app from the app market and then they were on your keyboard. Tried that a few times in the Market but it didnt put the emoticons in the keyboard. Instead it was a completely different text messaging app all together. Would be nice if i could get them on the keyboard that comes with the galaxy instead of a completely different text messaging app. I saw the if you hold down the period button you get a few smilies but they are just the ones like this for example =) =P.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just purchase my sg2 phone yesterday. Unfortunately, my brother has used my phone last night and register the Samsung account in it by using his email or id. When I tried to change the account, it cannot be done cause I have to do the factory reset in privacy setting (which will erase all my personal info and downloaded applications). I don't want that to happen as well. Plus, my my brother can't even remember what the password he has used for the Samsung account I'm very pissed off now that my Samsung account belong to him and the fact that I can't do the factory reset because of him. I'll mention again, he forgot the password he used for MY SAMSUNG ACCOUNT IN MY SG2.

Anyway, I used the Samsung stock keyboard and I'm pretty happy with it. However, I can't get past the fact that I cant long press a key to insert my shift-characters.
I've seen some people on youtube already have this on their keyboard. But mine doesnt? Does this have something to do with US-Keyboard vs International?
How do I activate the long-press characters?
I have to draw letters instead of them being there already to use, I don't want that I want a normal keyboard!
View 1 Replies View RelatedAmong the slight annoyances I have with touchwiz, I really don't like Samsung's keyboard. If I disable it in input methods, it only stays disabled until I actually use the other keyboard/input method I have selected.
It turns itself back on and gives me a notification to select input method. As it's a samsung app, it can't be disabled in app settings. Would it be safe to just delete it completely? I don't think there's an option to disable the notification popup when you have multiple input methods turned on. extreme phone ocd
edit: nvm I guess, yolo deleted it, now to get rid of sfinder and QC in notification menu
I am not able to change my qwerty input languages by swiping <space bar> after my latest firmware upgrade build (KOT49H.G900FXXU1ANCF).
I have tried the following:
1. Adding and removing input languages
2. restart my phone
the stock Samsung keyboard will randomly capitalize words which aren't capitalized while typing. It happens to random words in the middle of the sentence.

Menu | Settings | Language & Keyboard | User Dictionary.
Except I can't as "User Dictionary" does not appear under "Language & Keyboard". I presume Samsung have moved it somewhere else. Does anyone know where?
When I'm typing with the stock Samsung Keyboard occasionally it deletes the first letter of the word I'm typing automatically. This is really annoying because then it predicts a completely different word to the one I initially meant to type. Also, the issue is only with Samsung Keyboard, swiftkey works fine.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am having a serious problem with my Galaxy S6. The keyboard and any pop up menu for selection are not visible. I can see the keyboard and any selection menu when I rotate the screen then it vanishes very quickly.
I have disabled keyboard, cleared data and cache then restarted but it doesn't seem to work.
I have wiped all the cache partition, done a factory reset, flashed a stock 5.1.1 but the problem still exists.
On my 1520, at times the calendar and messaging app keypad will go to a light color and becomes blurry. Sometime it comes and goes. Sometimes I have to reset it. Sometimes I have to reset it multiple times to make it go away.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOn my Android Eeepad tablet I can change the DNS by long-pressing the router id in WI-FI settings, then select the DNS1 field and insert a new DNS.But the hard-press routine doesn't work with my Galaxy SII. I can't find a way to get at the DNS setting. The only option that pops up is Forget Network.I want to set up my unrooted SII with a DNS from unotelly.com so that I can use their system to let me access Netflix USA from Canada. Although I can achieve access while at home merely by changing the DNS setting in my router, I'm not always on my home network and would like the SII to be able to access the unotelly DNS when I'm elsewhere.

To begin with I wasn't gettting any LED notification lights at all, so I installed Light Flow (and also tried Light Manager) and this allowed me to receive LED notifications for missed Calls, Text's, etc. But I'm unable to change the LED light colour to anything other than red using these APP's. How to get a different colour LED working for them or if it's a known quirk?
