After updating to new version my phone looks my new galaxy s5 looks like my old iPhone, that I was happy to put away for good. I want black background in menues and keyboard back in black!!!!!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having a serious problem with my Galaxy S6. The keyboard and any pop up menu for selection are not visible. I can see the keyboard and any selection menu when I rotate the screen then it vanishes very quickly.
I have disabled keyboard, cleared data and cache then restarted but it doesn't seem to work.
I have wiped all the cache partition, done a factory reset, flashed a stock 5.1.1 but the problem still exists.
Just hate the new look with white background and thin black text. Any way to customize menu colors, gmail app colors to like dark with colored text without rooting?

View 5 Replies View Relatedi know the back button and menu buttom supposed to be white and i checked with 2 friends of mine that also got the s6 and its white in their phones. also the home button is kinda moving but not so much... when i checked with my friends phone it wasn't moving. you think i should use my warranty for such a stupid thing? also the device is original and not fake. the screen sometimes (it didn't happen me in 5 days and today it happend again) the touchscreen stop responding to my finger for about a second. lets say i want to click an app so when i first clicked it it didn't work but when i tap again it worked. i think this is normal because sometimes you dont press very well.. any way. orange back and menu buttons and tell me if you got it to(inside a house,outdoor its white because of the sun) and the home key that is kinda moving (not so much but a little bit more than my friends does)

I have Alliance ROM installed on a rooted S5 and am wondering if there is a dark UI theme in the settings somewhere. The 17 themes it comes with doesn't actually make the phone dialer dark. I'm seeing screenshots online of Alliance that are nice and dark (I think it's called Black Glass?), including the phone dialer. How do I get the whole android theme dark.
Same thing with other apps. There's a few local TV news apps that have a bright white background that I wish I could customize to a dark theme. The Samsung Music Player is bright white as well.
I have been having a few problems with my phone lately. Sometimes when I start the unit up in the morning no icons appear on my home screen although when I go into my apps they are all there. I would have to restart the phone a couple of times before everything would appear. Now I seem to have a permanent problem the touch sensitive buttons on the bottom of my phone for getting to the settings and the 'back' button do not light any more, but they do function.

So I ended up returning my GS2 today to upgrade to the GS2 skyrocket since the phone was announced a couple days after getting mine. Made the trade and got $50 back since it was on sale suh-weet!Anyways first thing i did was turn off auto brightness. Normally on my GS2 i would just adjust it myself via the notification bar. Well I decided to go to settings>display then tried to click on brightness. Brightness is greyed out and unclickable. What is up with this? I can change it via the notication bar or the widget to set brightnesses from it, but cant go through settings display to change it.

I had my phone on a car charger playing Spotify and i got a text message then could not turn on my phone. Spotify played for half the song after and shut down. Black screen with flashing blue light and can not hard reset. tried all combinations with up, power, down, and home keys. The light was flashing all night and turned off this morning. did not have on a charger hoping the battery would die to turn on. Phone never reads a connection when trying to charge. don't know if i have the one black screen of death that can not turn back on. I have 2 or 3 trips of pictures that i don't know if i backed up.

I downloaded the Lollipop update today and was asked if I wanted notification information (text, emails, etc.) on my lockscreen. I marked yes but now do not like the information on the lockscreen, plus it removes some information I do want on the screen (for example the pedometer). How do I change back to no notifications on the lockscreen?
