Xperia Mini/pro :: Unable To Use SK17i POBox Touch And Qwerty Keyboard?
May 21, 2012I'm using Xperia mini pro SK17i and POBox touch for my input. When I use the hardware keyboard, sometimes it would work (I can switch between hiragana / alphabetical input), sometimes it would act just like a normal keyboard (can't switch mode, word suggestion does not appear).

May 22, 2010There has been a lot of discussion from people posting their desire to have a full-screen, touch QWERTY keyboard available on the N97, and I am in agreement this would be useful. A couple days ago, I was messing around with my N97 (which I am always doing) and needed to enter some text. Hit the screen to enter it and BANG, up popped a full screen QWERTY to use. I didn't think anything of it at the time, I just entered my text and continued. It was a day or so later it actually hit me what had happened. Unfortunately, because of this, I cannot remember what exactly I was doing at that particular time, but whatever it was, it gave me the full QWERTY onscreen. I have no idea if it's part of the new 2.1 beta Jave Runtime available on Betalabs but it's definitely there SOMEWHERE.
For anyone who hasn't tried the new 2.1 Java Runtime, I'd recommend giving it a try. It'll take up around 4mb of space on C: I'm afraid but my N97 has been running a lot better since installing it and I didn't miss the space as I was already running the older 2.0 beta anyway. If I do work out how I got the QWERTY to appear, I will certainly re-post.

May 16, 2012Problem Description I was in a middle of a workout with the MOTOACTV. It was connected wirelessly to my heart rate monitor. During the workout the UI became high latency and almost completely unresponsive. It would take 3 4 presses to the Power Key to get the device to wake up. When device did wake up, the CapTouch UI would not accept any swipe or touch gestures. I finally was able to power the device down hoping for a graceful reset. However I was concerned that I was never going to get to the point of getting to the power down screen. seen this issue on other Android devices and know that there are times when a battery pull is needed due to a deadlock or a process gone haywire.

Feb 12, 2010I just bought the new Nokia 5233 phone.Whenever the phone is locked and I set a alarm. There is no way i can stop the alaram other than to reset the alarm manually by alarms-> edit.
There will be two touch buttons that apper on the otuch screen. One to stop and other to snooze the alarm. Even If press them, it wont work. The alaram keeps ringing. I even tried clicking on the green button and the menu botton at the bottom. Still no use. I cant even unlock the phone. Only thing i can do is press the red button at the end, which will snooze the alarm. After this, I have to manually change the alarm time.
The same thing happens even with phone calls. I cannot use the touch button that apper on the touch screen. I have to use the green and red button at the bottom.These problem come into picture only if the phone is locked. Otherwise it works fine.

Jun 14, 2010I have had my Bold for almost 2 weeks but just noticed within the last day and half that something may be wrong with my keyboard backlight. I reviewed about 6 pages in this forum but didn't see this topic anywhere.
Does everyones keyboard light up with a touch of ANY key? Because mine isn't lighting up and might need to swap it out.
I would assume that hitting any key would make the lights come on but just wanted to get confirmation from someone.

I work in a job where I NEED a phone, and I'd like to have my OtterBox on my phone in case it drops and could potentially break.

Sep 1, 2011I, until about two weeks ago, was using the mult-touch keyboard option and it was working fine. About a week ago, anytime I would type something and hit the space bar, the zoomed in window for texting would zoom back out to the window that appears below (stock Motorola text software). I tried it again and the same thing happened. Everytime I use the space bar in multi-touch, it would exit out of the text editing and show my text below in the skinny rectangular "viewing" bar. I also tried this in Gmail. The exact same thing happens. I am using Swype, which I would rather not use, but would like to know if this is fixable without doing a factory reset. Doing a factory reset is far too painful with having to download all the apps I once had and having to start over in certain games because it erases any progress, etc. If the only option is to factory reset, then so be it. That needs to be a last resort though.

Feb 25, 2010Basically, in a nutshell, i want to be able to change this "slide lock" screen. I just flat out hate the way it looks, I want more of a sleek looking slide lock. Personally, i dont find the grey to be appealing at all. And id like to have just a tad bit more transparency as well. Does anyone know where i can find a different screen? Im assuming its a flash (.swf) file, just like most of the apps, and the theme is. If this is the case im sure its easy to customize, like the theme is as well. I don't mind using BitPim to make changes, so thats all good too.Been searching all day on Google for any user-customized screens, but haven't found a single thing.

My Sprint Touch Pro's touchscreen slowly died today. And I was wondering if anyone had any advice on what I should do. I bought it on eBay and apparently the warranty is non-transferable so that's void. I have it on Boost so I'm guessing going to Sprint is out of the question also.

Jun 26, 2011I picked up my phone as I usually do, slid open the keyboard, typed out a text message, and then attempted to press the send button with my finger. For some reason, my touch didn't register and I had to manually select the send button by using the keyboard. I thought it was a glitch, however I am not able to select anything using the touch screen with the keyboard open. For example, if I press the lock button and attempt to unlock my phone with the touchscreen while the keyboard is open, I get no response. Also, if the keyboard is open and I try to open an app or perform any function using the touch screen, I recieve no response. However, the touch screen performs perfectly fine with the keyboard close. The main reason I got the Droid 2 was because of the physical keyboard paired with the touchscreen so I would like to fix this problem as soon as possible.
