I have the new Blackberry Torch 9810 and whenever I put a case on the phone, the touchscreen keyboard disappears. Whenever I take the case off though, the keyboard re-appears. I work in a job where I NEED a phone, and I'd like to have my OtterBox on my phone in case it drops and could potentially break.

View 7 Replies View Relatedwas working perfectly fine until i downloaded an app that you can now get for free from RIM until some date in may. anyways, i wiped my phone and it was working fine for a few days, then it stopped working out of no where. then for some reason when i upgraded bbm and had to reset my phone, the touch worked perfectly but then randomly stopped working again. It basically does not work at all, except for sometimes when my phone is plugged in. idk how to fix this, would re-installing the software get it to work again or should i just take my phone in?

Sometimes it works but most of the times it does not. Also the track pad does not always work properly after the upgrade. Yesterday nothing worked and I had to soft reset the device before considering throwing it to the swimming poolThe unfortunate thing is that I do not remember what type of upgrade I made but it took 2-3 hours to complete.Last but not least after this upgrade my battery dies in less than half a day. I bought a new one and the same thing happens.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Torch 9810 touch screen doesn't work properly anymore...it works each time the phone has just been freshly boot or when a battery pull has just been performed and stops afterwards until another battery pull or boot is done. is this some sort of software problem? Can it be fixed? If it can, how? I tried upgrading to OS 7.1 but the same problem persists.

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust got the Htc One Max and worked great for a few weeks then just a few days ago ,chrome began to crash every page I opened, it would get the full page loaded then crash to the home page . i re installed chrome then updated it and still nothing. With the keyboard i can type for at most 2 seconds then it disappears. I'm not turning it to portrait or landscape. I'm keeping the phone in the same orientation and the keyboard wont stop dispearing and then it wont appear again unless i restart the app even then it still disappears.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an HTC Touch (not pro) flashed for Cricket using the OS modded by TooG. I use Microsoft MyPhone to backup all my data to my MyPhone account. My phone completely locked up and I ended up doing a hard re-set on my phone. I installed the MyPhone application (a copy I have stored in my MicroSD) and started the restore process. The data seems to have come back fine, with all my contacts, calendar, photos, and music being restored properly.
Problem #1) When I get a text message, I get the alert that I have a new text message and I see the first sentence of the message. To read the whole message I normally just tapped the alert and it would open the message. Now, I tap the message and it brings me to my Inbox, but no sign of the text message anywhere. I cannot find the message to read the message.
Problem #2) Text messages used to be stored in threads arranged according to date, and sender. On the main text message list, it would show newest messages on top, and when you opened the message, it would show the message history from that person. But now, Incoming message are in an INBOX, and all sent messages are in a SENT box. To follow a conversation, you would need to go back and forth. VERY ANNOYING.

View 1 Replies View Relatedopying contacts from a Bold 9810 to another 9810.Using the BB Desktop Software I did a full backup of the device (which contained 400+ contacts), then did a full restore on a new 9810, but only 200 contacts were copied over.Next I tried to do a selective restore, but although the 400+ contacts were in the file, it was grayed out and could not be selected. How can I get all the contacts into the new 9810. (Side note: I was able to restore the 400+ contacts to a BB Bold).

Does everyones keyboard light up with a touch of ANY key? Because mine isn't lighting up and might need to swap it out.
I would assume that hitting any key would make the lights come on but just wanted to get confirmation from someone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI, until about two weeks ago, was using the mult-touch keyboard option and it was working fine. About a week ago, anytime I would type something and hit the space bar, the zoomed in window for texting would zoom back out to the window that appears below (stock Motorola text software). I tried it again and the same thing happened. Everytime I use the space bar in multi-touch, it would exit out of the text editing and show my text below in the skinny rectangular "viewing" bar. I also tried this in Gmail. The exact same thing happens. I am using Swype, which I would rather not use, but would like to know if this is fixable without doing a factory reset. Doing a factory reset is far too painful with having to download all the apps I once had and having to start over in certain games because it erases any progress, etc. If the only option is to factory reset, then so be it. That needs to be a last resort though.
