My screen is working fine but my keyboard and other buttons are not functioning at all. I also have my phone locked so in order to go into it i need to type my password but im also unable to do that because none of the keys are working.
View 1 RepliesI have had a torch since October 2010 and just in the last 2 days it has stopped responding when using the keyboard or buttons.
When I pull the battery and reboot, I can use the touch screen to unlock, and then can go in to any item. Example: open text, can scroll and find a test to view, tap it and open. I can then reply, forward delete with the screen options but once that is done I am now stuck in the text message. My only option is to pull the battery.
I can not make phone calls but can answer by sliding up the screen. When call is done I can not end just have to wait for other person to hang up.
I have checked for Water damage and there is none, the phone has not had a hard drop and the to sides are very solid (not loose).
Recently the touch screen keyboard if my blackberry torch has stopped working when I close the my phone (slide close) and also the rotation that Blackberry torch does when you change the position of it isn't also work, I thought it was software problem but it's not.
View 7 Replies View RelatedSince around 2 weeks I have a Torch 9860. Yesterday evening, when I was not using the device the Torch suddenly stopped functioning. When I turned it on again it said it was setting up but it didn't do anything. So after a few minutes I turned it off and on again but now it didn't react at all (so screen stays black, no button lightens up etc.). I can't get it turned on again, not even when I removed the battery for a few minutes. I also tried to charge it again as I wanted to be sure the battery was charged but this doesn't work either.

Sometimes it works but most of the times it does not. Also the track pad does not always work properly after the upgrade. Yesterday nothing worked and I had to soft reset the device before considering throwing it to the swimming poolThe unfortunate thing is that I do not remember what type of upgrade I made but it took 2-3 hours to complete.Last but not least after this upgrade my battery dies in less than half a day. I bought a new one and the same thing happens.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy 9810 is acting up. None of the keys are working, even the 5 below the screen. Sometimes the track pad works but not when it is pressed, and when the back botton works it puts me into sreach mode and looks for the letter "H" only. The touch screen is fine. This was before upgrading to OS7.1. I have done multiple hard resets and it does nothing at all. This has been going on for three days now. It hasn't be dropped or anything.
Last night I upgraded to OS 7.1 now my back ground does not rotate properly with how the phone is being held it does rotate, When you hold it upright it thinks its on it's side and vise versa.
Recently i encountered this problem my torch 9810 front buttons are not lighting up rest every thing is fine,is this a software issue or i need to repair my handset.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI picked up my phone as I usually do, slid open the keyboard, typed out a text message, and then attempted to press the send button with my finger. For some reason, my touch didn't register and I had to manually select the send button by using the keyboard. I thought it was a glitch, however I am not able to select anything using the touch screen with the keyboard open. For example, if I press the lock button and attempt to unlock my phone with the touchscreen while the keyboard is open, I get no response. Also, if the keyboard is open and I try to open an app or perform any function using the touch screen, I recieve no response. However, the touch screen performs perfectly fine with the keyboard close. The main reason I got the Droid 2 was because of the physical keyboard paired with the touchscreen so I would like to fix this problem as soon as possible.

Most of the buttons on the top row have stopped working, so I can no longer type the following letters: Q E R Y U O. This renders the keyboard useless. The only way for me to do things on my Blackberry is if I pull the battery, put it back in, wait for it to load, then enter my password ( using the on screen keyboard) then click one app. And once I am done with that one app, I click my red button, and nothing happens same if I click the back button!

There are unfortunately no support telephone numbers apparent on the site, so this seems to be my only option! This is incredibly annoying as I need to use the phone on a daily basis for email, etc!

I had a JVM 545 error come up last week. I finally fixed it after reinstalling the OS a couple times but now I've noticed the 'clicking' function of the trackpad is not working. When I press it down nothing happens. I can still scroll no problem but pressing it down does nothing.I've reinstalled the OS a couple times again and the problem still persists. Any ideas on how to fix it? I was working fine prior to the JVM error...

The alignment is totally random. On the touchscreen keyboard some keys are right on. and some off to the left and just a few off to the right. Screen alignment just keeps trying and I have to reboot. Is this a bad touchscreen, or is it possibly software?

My BlackBerry Torch 9810's trackpad stopped working.
It has been an ongoing problem for about two weeks. Sometimes it works other times it doesnt.
I tried battery pulls and they never seemed to work instanteously although sometimes after the 3rd or 4th battery pull and 20 minutes of the phone being back 'on' it would work.
Now it's been about 3 hours since it last worked. I've installed the latest update for BB. I'm removing every program that is on it to try to get it to work.
I don't think it's a hardware problem because sometimes the trackpad works, and others it doesnt. If it was a hardware problem I dont think it would be on and off.
Note: the click function of the trackpad button works just fine. However I cant use it to go N, S, E, & W.
