I am rooted , Franco kernel r35 , and gravity box installed..Let's say after I restart the nexus , I can go through a couple of hours browsing Google chrome fine , then randomly the back button doesn't work along with the keyboard not popping up?Is it the actual nexus phone problem or is it the kernel..
View 10 RepliesI'm trying to turn the volume up/down with the side rocker buttons, but the dang things do not respond (and yes, the case has been removed). I've had to reboot my N5 each and every time, and its getting very old very fast. I find I have to go into settings and change it there. I've read that there might be an app running that is using my volume, not allowing me to change it. When I went into my apps to see what's running, its the usual stuff. Nothing that would be using it. So, is there an app to find out if there is a rogue app running I don't know about?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI uninstalled my Swype keyboard and was in the process of reinstalling a new one when my phone screen shut off. Now, on the lock screen, no keyboard pops up when I try to enter my password, only the Google Voice red button, which doesn't actually record anything. It just stays statically in red 'waiting for results.' When I press the keyboard image next to the password input box, the 'Choose Input Method' option shows up, with no options to select from. I've tried clearing the cache as well, to no avail.
How can I get past this seemingly minor problem which has completely locked me out of my phone?
4 of the buttons on my keyboard are not working! all other keys are fine and the phone is in perfect order otherwise but the 4 buttons wont work it is the p the delete the alt and the enter keys on the right of the keyboard?

Most of the buttons on the top row have stopped working, so I can no longer type the following letters: Q E R Y U O. This renders the keyboard useless. They all suddenly stopped working at the same time, so my guess is that its probably software related? I'm running Android 2.1 update 1.

I installed a Screen Off app to save wear and tear on my power button. However, I discovered this app prevents Smart Lock from working. I set Pattern Lock with a Bluetooth device Smart Lock. When I use the Screen Off app the Lock Screen appears when I hit the power button. When I use the power button to turn off then Smart Lock works and it recognizes my Bluetooth device and skips the Pattern Lock screen.
Any way I can get a Screen Off app that allows Smart Lock to work as it should?

View 10 Replies View Relatedthe keyboard and buttons on the side and top on my 8900 simply stopped working, in that they will no longer activate the phone even though I know the phone to be on.The phone is a PAYG handset on Orange, whom I have contacted and was told that because the unit is over 12 months old (18months) I must contact Blackberry. There are unfortunately no support telephone numbers apparent on the site, so this seems to be my only option! This is incredibly annoying as I need to use the phone on a daily basis for email, etc!

They show up, displaying the correct information, but the buttons doesn't work. This is causing me to have to dismiss the notification, open the notification tray and act on the notification from there. Is it something an app I'm using that's causing the problem? I've tested with both Hangouts video calls and the alarm clock.

View 4 Replies View RelatedUnder Settings/Sound, I have Vibrate on touch checked. I use SwiftKey and under those settings I also have it checked to vibrate on keyless but still nothing. I tried using the stock keyboard in case it's a SwiftKey issue but that doesn't vibrate either.
I just realized the phone doesn't vibrate at all, even for calls. When I set the ringer to vibrate, it's just quiet. Guess it's a hardware issue.
On my nexus 6 I've been using the Google keyboard which I do love but sometimes it's slowing down for typing is not as quick as my thumbs are.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was sitting down with my nexus on my leg with about 40% battery left when it suddenly turned off and then flicked to the google startup page before going blank. After attempting to turn it on again (to no avail), I resorted to plugging it in, which resulted in the phone looping on the google page then vibrating before repeating. I tried to get it into the bootloader menu, but it appeared and then reverted to the google page after the phone vibrated.
I've tried looking up solutions, but the only plausible situation for me seems to be returning it so the warranty can take over. The only hitch with that being that the bootloader is unlocked (not rooted, just the bootloader). I really am stuck, and do not know what to do
The screen of my iPhone 4 suddenly went irresponsive and within a few seconds it went completely black. I tried to power it off and also tried the home button but nothing seems to be responding.Â
Incoming calls still ring out but I am not able to answer the calls and cannot see anything on the screen.Â
I connected it to my laptop, the iphone appears on "my computer" and I was able to see pictures and videos that are on the phone, however iTunes cannot detect the devise.Â

I have been around and around with customer service on this- the buttons on lower right hand corner of my phon (including the red button and return button) do not work. I have pulled the battery repeatedly, and wiped the phone, all of which make it work just fine for an hour or so before the problem returns. Customer service insists the problem is related to the data in my phone (?) which is ridiculous. They keep encouraging me to upgrade, but I've not had the phone for a year
