Jan 20, 2010Anyone come up with an i-Phone keyboard for the HTC Touch Cruise (or similar)? I'd like to "let my fingers do the walking" on the touch screen. No patches?

Jun 14, 2010I have had my Bold for almost 2 weeks but just noticed within the last day and half that something may be wrong with my keyboard backlight. I reviewed about 6 pages in this forum but didn't see this topic anywhere.
Does everyones keyboard light up with a touch of ANY key? Because mine isn't lighting up and might need to swap it out.
I would assume that hitting any key would make the lights come on but just wanted to get confirmation from someone.

May 24, 2012I have the new Blackberry Torch 9810 and whenever I put a case on the phone, the touchscreen keyboard disappears. Whenever I take the case off though, the keyboard re-appears. I work in a job where I NEED a phone, and I'd like to have my OtterBox on my phone in case it drops and could potentially break.

I must have hit a button but for life of me cannot find which one I need to turn it back on again. It use to come up automatically when I touched in a typing area for texts, web etc - now nothing.

Sep 1, 2011I, until about two weeks ago, was using the mult-touch keyboard option and it was working fine. About a week ago, anytime I would type something and hit the space bar, the zoomed in window for texting would zoom back out to the window that appears below (stock Motorola text software). I tried it again and the same thing happened. Everytime I use the space bar in multi-touch, it would exit out of the text editing and show my text below in the skinny rectangular "viewing" bar. I also tried this in Gmail. The exact same thing happens. I am using Swype, which I would rather not use, but would like to know if this is fixable without doing a factory reset. Doing a factory reset is far too painful with having to download all the apps I once had and having to start over in certain games because it erases any progress, etc. If the only option is to factory reset, then so be it. That needs to be a last resort though.

Jun 26, 2011I picked up my phone as I usually do, slid open the keyboard, typed out a text message, and then attempted to press the send button with my finger. For some reason, my touch didn't register and I had to manually select the send button by using the keyboard. I thought it was a glitch, however I am not able to select anything using the touch screen with the keyboard open. For example, if I press the lock button and attempt to unlock my phone with the touchscreen while the keyboard is open, I get no response. Also, if the keyboard is open and I try to open an app or perform any function using the touch screen, I recieve no response. However, the touch screen performs perfectly fine with the keyboard close. The main reason I got the Droid 2 was because of the physical keyboard paired with the touchscreen so I would like to fix this problem as soon as possible.

Please enlighten me on this.The touch screen of my phone doesn't seem "fix" like other touch screen phone. The feel of touching the BB screen is like pressing a button where it'll "depress" when u press the screen. Is this normal for this phone?

Aug 29, 2013HTC One. I turned it off last night for a movie and turned it back on a couple hours later -- only to find I could not access my keyboard in text or email. Whenever I try to send a text the "tap to speak" voice input option is all that comes up. I can't seem to access the keyboard by tapping the "keyboard" icon to the left of the mic. I tried disabling Google Voice Input but can't seem to make that work.
I have SwiftKey installed as the keyboard and turning it on or off doesn't seem to work. I used an iPhone for three years and never had problems like this... I was so excited to switch to an android but am slowly regretting my decision, because now I more or less cannot use my smartphone without my keyboard

Jul 10, 2015I don't really have problems with the keyboard that is given except one. The Comma is not on the front screen. I really hate haven't to choose an alt screen for something that is used more than a period sometimes for me. (since the period auto fills in if you hit double space)

Usually, I'll remove it and the trackball while the phone is off to clean the area when the trackball sticks.However today the ring popped off during my nervous habit and I touched the led while the phone was on.
