Lumia 1520 :: Phone Apps Disappearing After 8.1 Update
Jul 28, 2014I did not restore from backup, instead I did a clean install and downloaded all my apps again. The phone is faster and far less buggy.
Unfortunately, apps "disappear". Vine was installed, signed in, and pinned to the Start screen. Now it is a blank tile. In the app list I see the Vine app but the icon is just a black square. If I click on it I get a black screen that says "Resuming...".
HTC One M7 :: Keyboard Disappearing And Chrome Crashing
Feb 3, 2014Just got the Htc One Max and worked great for a few weeks then just a few days ago ,chrome began to crash every page I opened, it would get the full page loaded then crash to the home page . i re installed chrome then updated it and still nothing. With the keyboard i can type for at most 2 seconds then it disappears. I'm not turning it to portrait or landscape. I'm keeping the phone in the same orientation and the keyboard wont stop dispearing and then it wont appear again unless i restart the app even then it still disappears.

Jun 18, 2010I have had a problem for last couple of weeks - When I got the phone (around 2mths ago), I created all my main contacts, added their names, numbers and email addresses. So, at least a month goes by, but then one or two contacts start losing their phone numbers (the name and email address remains). I have tried everything from simply entering and saving the number again via the phonebook and even adding the number from text messages sent by the person in question - each time I have ensured that I have clicked 'done' and/or the save symbol. I exit the phonebook, but if I check back later it's been lost again.
This seems to happen with only one or two particular contacts - I am not sure what is unique about them.
I have read the manual re: phonebook, so I am following all of the steps so I am not sure whether or not the phone has a fault.

Aug 15, 2014This problem is driving me insane! I've had my LG G3 for a week now. The selling feature for me was the 128GB micro sd card option. Shortly after I got the phone, I bought a 128GB card on eBay. It arrived a few days ago. Right after I got it is when the problem started. I tried moving files from my phone to the card. But then I noticed my files disappearing on the card. So I tried a smaller 64GB card to see if the 128GB was faulty. Neither of the cards have worked. I've done everything possible like reformating, erasing, restarting my phone, using a different card.

Jan 4, 2010I currently have my BlackBerry Tour configured for three seperate email accounts. The first two are working just fine. I just noticed this this morning that for the third, messages that I have read appear to be disappearing from the device. I've checked in Options and it appears that I have plenty of available space (101680072 bytes free) unless I am misreading what that number represents.
For example, I've read and responded to probably 10 emails from this account today. The emails that I read early this morning no longer show in the inbox, however the sent item for the response that I sent still does. The only items that still appear in the inbox are items that have arrived in the last 2 - 3 hours, anything prior to that, including ALL emails that I have received since setting up the account a few weeks ago are gone. The only thing that is visible for those dates are my sent items.
I had seen another thread in which someone had stated that rebooting by removing the battery might correct the issue but I tried that and it did not. I've included my settings for the email account in question below. I don't use any type of third party sync application, what the heck is going on here and how do I fix it?

Dec 8, 2015My wife recently noticed that several recent photos on her phone were missing. Over the course of several days more photos either disappeared or were corrupted.
I'm not sure if it's related but recently here phone screen starts to dim and flicker if charging or left alone for a little while.
Is there anything I can do to stop this apparent spread of corrupted data? I ran virus scanners and she is using only the internal memory, no extra SD card,

Apr 21, 2014I have my 1520 set with to require a PIN to unlock it. After updating to WP8.1 sometimes when I use the keypad it will register multiple taps even though I only touch the number once.
The only way I am able to get around this is to lock it again and then bring up the keypad again. This does not always work first time, it might take me locking it a few times.

Dec 17, 2015I just got my Lumia 950 Dual Sim (2 days back) and so far I loved the features and appearance. However, I am getting frustrated with the continuous reboots and on-screen keyboard issues.
When I am trying to type in whats app or Skype (I havent tested other apps yet), the keyboard hangs and then it goes down. I have to keep clicking on the message space and then after a while either it comes up works for sometime and goes down again (unresponsive) or the phone gets restarted. I need to say that I am a bit frustrated with this as this is happening with a frequency of less than 2 minutes. I tried the basic troubleshooting steps of soft reset (volume down + power), but still same.

Nov 25, 2015Well been a few hours with my new 950, I'm coming from a lumia 920 I had for 3 years and one major issue which is probably a WP10 bug is in several apps when you get an area that requires you to type in something the keyboard comes up and then the area you need to type in goes black like the entire background of the screen goes black so you can';t type anything in, sometimes the app out right crashes after that. This is making it difficult to do things.
One example is the loyalty card app, press to add a new card and try and type in a name and it does this, found this with several other apps to.

Dec 19, 2015When you type a text message, the keyboard slides up and the message box slides up above it so you can see what you're typing. That's the way its supposed to work. I just started seeing this today.
Now, my keyboard is covering the text message box so I can't see what I'm typing. I have to hit the back arrow to make the keyboard go away so I can see what I wrote before sending it. But not just text messages, seems like the keyboard is covering up ALL text boxes in everything making this phone pretty useless.

Apr 24, 2012I purchase the lumia 900 and overall I'm very happy with it. My suggestion is to make an option in the settings under keyboard for 'show emoticon key'. Most people don't use/need 50 smiley face options, and I'm perfectly fine with typing : and ) every once in awhile when necessary.I'm left handed, and use my left thumb to hit the space bar when texting/emailing. About 50% of the time i accidentally hit the emoticon key and start typing all sorts of smiley faces, then have to hit the backspace key. I lose about 5-10 seconds every text message.
