I am trying to download 'Phonetic Keyboard' in my lumia 950 XL , but after 'preparing download' it goes to 'attention required' and throws an error - text suggestions for this keyboard not getting downloaded properly ... I tried,
1. Soft reset...
2. Uninstall windows insider , again re-subscribe fast ring everything but in vain...

View 6 Replies View RelatedI dropped my Lumina 1520 over the weekend and trashed the screen and digitizer. Somewhat of a shock as it was less than a foot drop and I have the screen and the back protected with Ghost Armor. In any event, I have a new 1520 on the way.
My question is this. How do you transfer the device settings to the new phone? I have the option set to back it up to One Drive. I have not been successful finding a way to "restore" or download those settings.
so I have an odd problem with a 1520. It's been updated to 8.1 Cyan OTA and everything was fine. I reset it (the usual way in Settings / About / Reset Your Phone) but now any lumia-specific settings are no longer available, so no options for motion data, or glance, etc etc.
Nokia Recovery Tool, I don't have a windows PC, so I can't go down that route.
I can not seem to have application settings in my unlocked sim free UK Lumia 1020, What could be the reason!!
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm randomly getting this message in a grey box in the middle of the screen on my AT&T 950: "Restart Required. Your Phone's settings or the SIM card have changed. Restart your phone to complete the installation." Then there are two buttons - "Restart" and "Later". Its not consistent, but I just rebooted as it said, launched the phone app and it appeared again. It doesn't seem to be affecting any functionality though. It appears to have started once I installed the SD card. In fact, I'd argue that a lot of the glitches on my 950 started after I installed the SD card.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI purchase the lumia 900 and overall I'm very happy with it. My suggestion is to make an option in the settings under keyboard for 'show emoticon key'. Most people don't use/need 50 smiley face options, and I'm perfectly fine with typing : and ) every once in awhile when necessary.I'm left handed, and use my left thumb to hit the space bar when texting/emailing. About 50% of the time i accidentally hit the emoticon key and start typing all sorts of smiley faces, then have to hit the backspace key. I lose about 5-10 seconds every text message.

I just my lumia 820 from att on saturday and i love it but there seems to be a problem with some of the settings. It seems like that audio, display+touch, and Nokia account don't seem to open and just send you back to the default settings menu.
