I'm trying to download all HERE maps (+2gb worth of data) on my phone, but it only downloads while my phone is awake. How do I get it to fully download without have to tap my screen every 5 minutes?
View 9 RepliesI installed nokia drive on my new phone Lumia 900. However, I just cant download maps on it. It says "Please connect to Wifi" when I am already connected to wifi. I tried uninstalling the app and installing it again. I reset the phone too.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just received a Lumia 900 and updated to the latest firmware and am having troubles downloading maps on nokia drive, both on the 2.0 and now 3.0. It says I need to be on wifi to download, however I am on wifi and I can access the web, email and every other function on my phone, except download maps on Nokia Drive as it doesn't recognize I am online on wifi however drive does work only it updates the map in realtime so I can't use the maps offline as it does not allow me to download offline maps. When I uninstall drive and then reinstall the app I can download from the maps for countries that do not have regions such as hong kong, however if I select US or China, a large country where you have to select the region the region/state page is blank. I have already tried soft and hard resetting to no avail and also tried different wifi networks with the results.

Add your favourite maps & use them offline in future to save your data connection & battery.
Is there a way to use my Nokia maps favorites into Nokia drive ?, i don't understand why we don't still have that option in a menu somewhere already.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am doing a favour for my in-laws to take some photos inside some house that they are thinking of purchasing (they live at the other side of the country and can't travel to view it).
My photos are automatically uploaded to my sky drive over mobile so sharing an album with them and they can view the photos in real time as I am taking photos (in theory!). Trouble is.... any photos I take goes to the camera roll folder/album. Is there anyway I can make any photos I snap to go to a certain album instead of camera roll?
Or does it sound like I need to get a specific app (though will it auto upload I wonder?)
Im going for vacation for 2 weeks and im not bringing my laptop with me. Is there a way to transfer pictures/videos directly to a usb/hard drive? I will be shooting lots of videos, etc
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I launch Maps and press the circle button to zoom to my location, it will do so. It finds me within a few hundred feet. After this point, it has no idea where I am. The dot representing me on the maps will vanish, and if I press the locate button again, it will pop somewhere else within a couple of miles of me, and then realize that isn't right, and not change the circle locator button to green, or show a dot on the screen. I can press the locate button again and have this happen continuously.When using Nokia Drive Beta, it will use my correct location to plot a course, but then not follow me at all, so it constantly displays the first direction. It, too, seems to have no clue where I am.My commute takes me through country, city, and suburbs. I've tried placing the phone on the dash, in the cupholder, and just holding it. Previous phones (iPhone, android) have not had this issue over the same commute.

I have installed about 4 maps already on it, but if I try to install any map now the download suddenly stops at the 35-40 MB mark, and just goes to the home screen. The Nokia Drive isn't even running in the background and I have to try again. I tried by downloading maps of multiple locations, some 50 MB, some 70 MB, some 100, and the same problem persists.

I went ahead and approved it and it ended up being the Windows 10 Mobile upgrade. The upgrade went smoothly. For some reason Windows Maps will not launch. This is also affecting the HERE app.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I connect my 1020 to my PC, the computer acknowledges that the phone is connected but can sometimes take forever to start to sync the photos to the PC. I have tried combinations of F5 etc. as well as disconnecting the phone and reconnecting it. Nothing happens! Then for no reason, it will start to download the photos and show the message "Everything's Done" .

The latest text I got reads "Get media content now (174KB)" which is underlined as a link. I tap on the words and then get a message "Getting media content (174KB)". It shows that for a minute or two and then goes back to the first message. Is there something in the "settings" that is causing this problem?

I purchased a Nokia 610 today and am trying to download the UK maps in Nokia Drive. Have setup WiFi. Select the UK (All) map to download.At random points throughout the download process the app crashes and returns me back to the start screen.
I have removed and reinstalled the app with no change.
i am having a problem with my lumia 800. whenever i try to download maps in nokia drive, after the download starts and reaches around 20-25% , suddenly the home screen appears and i have to redownload the map. the problem is arising every time. I have lots of free memory so memory isnt an issue, my software is also up-to date.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a Nokia 1020 and i suspect that there are something wrong with the camera. The quality of the photos that i take are, in my opinion, nowhere near the ones you can se in reviews and those released by Nokia.
To me it looks like it's only the middle part of every photo that is correctly focused. The edges are very blurry. I have no case on the phone, no dirt on the lens and i have tried to reset the camera and reboot, no difference.
I will attach some photos on which I think you can see it clearly. The images are very sharp in the middle but when you move towards the edges it quickly becomes blurry. Both pictures are taken in daylight with Nokia Pro Cam, all settings on auto.

New to the Windows mobile phone... I use my Windows phone for business and do a lot of conference calls. With my iPhone I used to be able to put the phone number with three commas and then the passcode to the conference call in the meeting request (format = 555-555-5555,,,12121212#). By using this format my customers could just click the link in their iPhone and it would auto-dial the conference number along with the passcode so that they did not have to remember the passcode while driving.
Example: 555-555-5555,,,12121212#. (autohyperlink for iOS)

555-555-5555 Passcode 12121212 then press # (caller can hyperlink the phone number but has to remember the passcode and dial it while driving...)
By using this format you could just click the number and it would dial the number pause then auto add the passcode and # to enter the conference call. I think Blackberry used to use a similar format to achieve the same thing.
Yesterday, I went running with my Lumia 1020 listening to music and using the Runtastic app. The music stopped - I looked at the phone - it was turned off. I tried powering on, but to no avail. I should also mention that upon leaving, the battery was fully charged and this happened after some 20 minutes. When I came home, I immediately put the phone on the wall charger and expected it to power on after a while. I checked it after 3 hours and nothing, the phone was still stone-dead and what was even more worrying, completely cold - no heat-up from charging.
I tried connecting it to my PC - the computer didn't even recognize ANY device was connected to it. Just to be sure, I tried Nokia Software Recovery Tool, but sure enough, it was not able to detect the phone. The phone seems to be dead meat now, but when I put it on my desk wireless charging stand, the stand's indicator lights up, although the phone does nothing and stays that way.
Yesterday I updated my Lumia 1020 to Lumia Cyan. I've been using WP 8.1.1 with developer preview. Today I left my phone at home, I didn't use it and when I tried to pick it up I actually got scared, it was so extremely hot that I thought it will explode. After few seconds I got warning that battery is low but I know that it was around 70% when iI left it(I've left it only for 1 hour). I turned it off so it could cold before I charge it.

I had been listening to music on my way to work this morning, put the phone down on the table, and no more than an hour later the phone was off. I tried powering it up, but nothing happens, nothing appears on the screen, no startup vibration, etc. The phone had a full charge before work. I know if there is a batteryproblem, the phone will display a red battery picture, but this has not happened.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I leave the phone sitting for a few minutes it drops from H+ to H meaning I can't access the internet on IE or receive Whatsapp messages. If I toggle flight mode on and off or restart the phone it works fine for maybe 10 minutes or so.
I have network selected manually, I have tried automatic selection, it makes no difference. I also have 3G set as the highest connection speed. I upgraded to WP8.1 last week but have had no issues until now.
About a month ago my Lumia 1020 randomly began turning off. I actually just purchased the phone used off eBay around the end of April. The phone itself was in great condition, but I wonder if I would up with a defective model. Since I bought the phone used, I suppose I'm out of luck when it comes to manufacturer's warranty?
