I have tried several bluetooth keyboards with my new Lumia 920. All can "seemingly" initial connect but then are dropped in about 5 seconds (or never actually connect). Is there a specific manufacturer who's external bluetooth keyboard is known to work with the 920?

Last night, suddenly my keyboard, trackpad and all my external buttons no longer work. Only my touch screen works, but no back button, a BlackBerry is not very useful.It may be software, but I updated yesterday the operating system. But I find it strange that all the external buttons do not work together.What could be the problem. If I have to go to the workshop, I want to know as much as possible.BlackBerry 9800
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using the 950XL at my work and love it. Recently I bought a USB Microphone (Rode Podcaster). It works really well while using it to record voice-interviews with the audio recorder..but while shooting video the phone uses the internal mic instead of the external!?
Microsoft Sweden tells me the video-app does not support external microphones and do not have any solution getting around the problem.
This just can't be right?! Why having a high-end phone with a beautiful camera and USB OTG and do not letting it to support external microphones in video???? In situations like this I actually feel a bit stupid not going for an iPhone.
Have Microsoft simply forgotten to unlock something in the code for the video-app? It just don't make any sense.
I just bought my nokia lumia 800 an have tried to transfer contacts from my old phone (Samsung pixon) but it wont pair. I then tried on another Samsung phone and it get a bit father- to the pairing and had a start bar of transfer come up before it stopped and said it couldn't connect. I also can't sent anything via Bluetooth either.

But is there any chance to use regular bluetooth PC keyboard with nokia phones (e75)? I guess there might be some drivers or apps that allow connection between nokia phone and other regular bluetooth devices (PC keyboards, mouses etc).
View 4 Replies View RelatedBrilliant phone, everything I need, a bit of a learning curve but as a business alternative to the Blackberry and Iphone I cant think of much else I'd need, and at £10-£10 a month cheaper it's got to be a worthy contender up against the other two if you can do without the fancy bells and whistles which I dont need
However I need to import a load of contacts from an excel file and Outlook, and I'm struggling to find out how to do this, can anyone put me in the right direction?
Also I'd like to use it with an external keyboard for those times when I'm in a hotel and some more lengthy emails to send, the onboard keyboard is very good, but fiddly for extensive use.
Also is there a headset with single earpiece and mouthpiece? My kids use a similar device on their x-box, it'd be useful where I have to make a succession of phone calls, the supplied headset is basic and I dont like the two little earpieces for extended work
Also can anyone recommend a basic CRM for the E72, I think the range of apps is very limited and if this is going to challenge the BB I think some more business orientated apps, not necessarily complicated, but Nokia recommended would be really useful. I've seen some CRM's suitable for the E series but no idea how good/bad they are, there seems to be very little user-reviews on them.
My equipment is lumia icon, after pairing the bluetooth keyboard(apple bluetooth keyboard and it works well with other equipments) with my icon, I noticed that the connecting light of keyboard was flashing and I can't type letter through the keyboard.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got my Lumia 950 Dual Sim (2 days back) and so far I loved the features and appearance. However, I am getting frustrated with the continuous reboots and on-screen keyboard issues.
When I am trying to type in whats app or Skype (I havent tested other apps yet), the keyboard hangs and then it goes down. I have to keep clicking on the message space and then after a while either it comes up works for sometime and goes down again (unresponsive) or the phone gets restarted. I need to say that I am a bit frustrated with this as this is happening with a frequency of less than 2 minutes. I tried the basic troubleshooting steps of soft reset (volume down + power), but still same.
Can Lumia 920 connect a external microphone while video shooting by using the 3.5mm plug/USB , just like the iPhone and andoird?

If there is any N97 owners, who know the law better than average consumer, he or she should speak up now! Nokia has misled all the customers, who have bought this imperfect product, by saying that "N97 is the most advanced mobile device ever seen". For this I consider my self and every one else, to be justifiable for a considerable compensation, for example when buying my next phone (WHICH ACTUALLY WORKS!!!)
Nokia has promised, that the next firmware release WILL make this phone to operate, as it was originally planned to do. They said more or less the same thing about v. 2.0, so, unfortunately, I have almost completely lost my trust in Nokia. Pulling the N97 out of market is an enormous draw back for Nokia, but I think this is the only way it can redeem itself and show to every one, that Nokia stands for quality!

The soft keyboard is ok when I'm traveling. But when I'm home or working from a hotel room, a hardware keyboard would be very nice.
I usually use bluetooth on my Nokia E71 without any problem. I can stream audio from the Nokia to my Parrot Party speakers, be hands free in my car bluetooth system, can transfer files between my PC and the Nokia.However, for some odd reason, the Nokia does not detect my Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000. My laptop connects without a problem to this keyboard, but the Nokia won't.

View 3 Replies View RelatedOne of the most desired features of this N8 phone for me was the ability to use bt keyboard and mouse. Now I bought the keyboard and mouse and what happened, nothing.Both devices are found when searching bt -devices. Keyboard doesn't even go to the pairing, it halts to password questions (where I type 0000). Then message:" Keyboard cannot be connected).With mouse, I can get one step further. When prompting password, I type 0000, the mouse gets paired, but when I try to connect, message comes:" Bluetooth connection cannot be created". Or similar cause the message is in finnish language. But I think you got the point. Items I have purchased are:
- Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000
- Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000
Does anyone know how to setup the N900 so it sees a stowaway bluetooth keyboard? I'm not knowledgable with Linux code so you would have to provide all detail if I had to make script adjustments. I'm sure this has been done but maemo.org usually talks at programmers level on tasks such as this one.

Bluetooth is switched on and the GPS is transmitting. Does this mean that the iPhone 4s will not work with an external GPS?

In 2011 Subaru Forester I am able to connect the phone and play music, but when I turn the car off and then on again it does not connect automatically like my iPhone does. In my 2012 Toyota Camry I am not even able to get the Lumia to connect to the stereo when my Blackberry has no issues with it.Is this is a Nokia issue or Windows Phone issue? Also, will these issues be addressed in future updates?
