I've had my 820 for about 4 weeks now and am loving it but I seem to have a problem with the keyboard, on certain forums like wpcentral whenever I use IE10 to answer a thread the keyboard will pop up and then disappear again and I can't enter any text because the keyboard disappears to quick. The mobile is connected to wifi and I can load website through IE. May I know why I cannot download additional keyboard?
Are there any alternative (slightly bigger) keyboards available for Lumia 710/ WP7.5? I understand that the only option is to turn phone in landscape mode. Any apps available or expected soon?

I purchase the lumia 900 and overall I'm very happy with it. My suggestion is to make an option in the settings under keyboard for 'show emoticon key'. Most people don't use/need 50 smiley face options, and I'm perfectly fine with typing : and ) every once in awhile when necessary.I'm left handed, and use my left thumb to hit the space bar when texting/emailing. About 50% of the time i accidentally hit the emoticon key and start typing all sorts of smiley faces, then have to hit the backspace key. I lose about 5-10 seconds every text message.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI started using an E72 recently and installed the latest software. However there is an annoying problem with it, from time to time, i.e. once a day, it freezes. The phone won´t respond to any key (you can press and nothing happens), except the email key if keep it press it will display the screen to send an email, but that is all.
I found that the problem in clock related. The clock icon disappears from the main screen and anything after will led to a frozen phone, reboot is the only option. Sometimes going to the clock applications solves the problem but not always.
I disable the automatic sync of the clock and left it manual. But that only has halved the occurrence of the problem.
I just bought my new E72, it shutdowns after 10 seconds or less , the screen just disappears, it's been now charging for 9 hours and still nothing happened, And after I plug the charger it also takes less than 10 seconds and the screen disappears too.
View 6 Replies View RelatedInstalled the Ovi Suite today (2.2), but when I start it I see the window for about 20 sec, then it silently disappears. So I can't manage my E71 (mostly today I just wanted to load the Ovi maps), or do anything.
I've uninstalled all the previous stuff (Nokia Map Update, PC Suite etc), and reinstalled the Ovi Suite a couple of times, but Ovi still drops out.
Can anyone help? I am/was one of the lucky N97 owners my phone was relatively stable - well anything would be if comparing it to the N96!!! However, since I upgraded the software to latest version way back in November, 2009, I find my phone memory disappears daily. I have transferred everything possible to E Mass Memory and have also backed up and reinstalled the software, but after doing yet another scan of the C Phone Memory I see that I still have 39MB Other Files - which I have no idea what they are or indeed how to get rid of them. Each day this file gets larger, and eventually it will take up all the memory on the Phone again. A problem which happened with the previous version so that it just would not work at all. The last version of software has given me more memory to use, but if I don't resolve this problem I will run out of memory again before too long.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have my 1520 set with to require a PIN to unlock it. After updating to WP8.1 sometimes when I use the keypad it will register multiple taps even though I only touch the number once.
The only way I am able to get around this is to lock it again and then bring up the keypad again. This does not always work first time, it might take me locking it a few times.
I would really love to use the 1520 as a work/personal note-taking device. I already use OneNote extensively. I saw the 1520 at the AT&T store today and fell in love, but the final thing for me to justify a 6" monster would be the keyboard issue.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got my Lumia 950 Dual Sim (2 days back) and so far I loved the features and appearance. However, I am getting frustrated with the continuous reboots and on-screen keyboard issues.
When I am trying to type in whats app or Skype (I havent tested other apps yet), the keyboard hangs and then it goes down. I have to keep clicking on the message space and then after a while either it comes up works for sometime and goes down again (unresponsive) or the phone gets restarted. I need to say that I am a bit frustrated with this as this is happening with a frequency of less than 2 minutes. I tried the basic troubleshooting steps of soft reset (volume down + power), but still same.
Well been a few hours with my new 950, I'm coming from a lumia 920 I had for 3 years and one major issue which is probably a WP10 bug is in several apps when you get an area that requires you to type in something the keyboard comes up and then the area you need to type in goes black like the entire background of the screen goes black so you can';t type anything in, sometimes the app out right crashes after that. This is making it difficult to do things.
One example is the loyalty card app, press to add a new card and try and type in a name and it does this, found this with several other apps to.
how do i get out of chinese keyboard ,it states tap to change but it goes back to chinese.
