Installed the Ovi Suite today (2.2), but when I start it I see the window for about 20 sec, then it silently disappears. So I can't manage my E71 (mostly today I just wanted to load the Ovi maps), or do anything.
I've uninstalled all the previous stuff (Nokia Map Update, PC Suite etc), and reinstalled the Ovi Suite a couple of times, but Ovi still drops out.
My z2 doesn't charge anymore because after connecting every kind of charger (usb cable or docking station) the led light starts blinking and the notification of "charging battery" appears and disappears. What should I do?

My phone is still in warranty but in the official site it is registered as "missing warranty".
So basically, my Iphone 4 started to have problems after 5.1.1. 1. It won't be recognized on windows or itunes. USB drivers are all updated, used different cables, different ports, different computers, latest itunes software.2. It does not charge or even show a charging screen when plugged into the wall socket. Tried different cables, different adapters and different outlets.3. ONLY charges when I specifically turn off the iphone and EXACTLY plug it in when the swirling circle appears. This charging process is "silent" where it does not show a charging screen. I must periodically check to see if phone is charged up to 100% by turning it on again visa versa.
I have tried a replacement battery, replacement dock connector, cleaned out my dock connector with toothbrush. I have tried soft reset, hard reset for a good 40 times. Took it to the apple store/genius bar and they are clueless as to how to fix it. For some reason, I can't seem able to enter DFU mode as it will not allow me, as well as do a factory reset as I CAN'T get this linked up to itunes.
Proud owner of a Photon for a few days now. For the most part, aside from some minor glitches, I LOVE this phone so far. It's great. However I have one big problem.At work I have a decent 4G signal at my desk. My prior Evo got 1-2 (out of 3) bars and stayed connected all day with zero problems. My Photon connects to 4G just fine, but if I don't keep sending traffic over the network to the point where the 4G goes into what I assume is power save mode -- where the icon shows ZZZ instead of signal strength -- it will often lose connection in a silent way.What I mean is that I can then attempt to use apps, etc and the 4G will not transfer data, but still thinks it's connected. I'm not sure yet whether or not it stays in ZZZ mode or if the icon shows signal strength again, but I know for sure apps do not transfer data. For example when I listen to music, ScrobbleDroid starts queueing messages instead of sending them, etc. Also, GMail and IMAP push stop working, so I stop receiving email notifications. That is a BIG problem for me.
The problem goes away immediately if I either shut off 4G, or toggle 4G (turn it off then on right away). I used the Ovi suite to install the free maps on my E72 which work great but the software itself is very poorly written, too many bugs and problems so i would like to uninstall it and use the PC suite instead. can I now update my phone using the PC suite with it's updater software or do I have to now rely on the Ovi suite.
The reason I ask instead of having two pieces of software is i want to a Vista/XP (two machines) clean install followed by a Ghost DVD so the smaller image the better (plus i dont like to have **bleep** installed on my machine:-)
Can i tranfer data from PC suite to OVI Suite - I need transfer all data from Nokia 6230i to new Nokia 6303 classic, or how to do it?. N 6230i is not connectable to OVI suite!

I have a Nokia E71, and i was using Nokia PC Suite to sync it with my outlook 2007 it all worked fine, contacts, to do notes and calendar (i wasn't syncing mail cuase i use gmail), untill the new ovi suite came out and i decided to try it since It sounded better.turns out It really sucked this ovi suite!! one of the worst softwares I've ever used, it duplicated all of the appointments that had color categories in outlook 2007, it is dead slow to sync!!!(i mean reeeaaly slow), even tough the Suite integrates more stuff in to one place it has reduced funcionality to sync stuff with my phone, it offers less funtions, not to mention that the user interface sukcs (its poorly desingned, it takes long to accses stuff, it shows me stuff as if it was advertisement).PC suite was very simple but funcional, oviously i went back to pc suite, to my surprise i couldn't sync, pc suite & the phone would do as if they were syncing, but when i checked at the end it wouldn't sync stuff.

I checked bluetooth device that im using, and made sure that phone bluetooth is on. In Attachment is shown how PC Suite and Bluetooth react when i try to reconnect the phone.

I used it both with USB cable and BTooth. First my synchronization with Lotus Notes calendar stopped (have to go by the PC), then contacts and messages. And today it does not even recognize the phone as a compatible phone. In the whole period I have been installing all kind of applications. My suspicion is that the trouble is due to an installation of a particular application - my question is:Anyone that got an idea what might have caused this?? Hope for help without re-intsalling the machine.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI started using an E72 recently and installed the latest software. However there is an annoying problem with it, from time to time, i.e. once a day, it freezes. The phone won´t respond to any key (you can press and nothing happens), except the email key if keep it press it will display the screen to send an email, but that is all.
I found that the problem in clock related. The clock icon disappears from the main screen and anything after will led to a frozen phone, reboot is the only option. Sometimes going to the clock applications solves the problem but not always.
I disable the automatic sync of the clock and left it manual. But that only has halved the occurrence of the problem.
I just bought my new E72, it shutdowns after 10 seconds or less , the screen just disappears, it's been now charging for 9 hours and still nothing happened, And after I plug the charger it also takes less than 10 seconds and the screen disappears too.

However, since I upgraded the software to latest version way back in November, 2009, I find my phone memory disappears daily. I have transferred everything possible to E Mass Memory and have also backed up and reinstalled the software, but after doing yet another scan of the C Phone Memory I see that I still have 39MB Other Files - which I have no idea what they are or indeed how to get rid of them. Each day this file gets larger, and eventually it will take up all the memory on the Phone again. A problem which happened with the previous version so that it just would not work at all. The last version of software has given me more memory to use, but if I don't resolve this problem I will run out of memory again before too long.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a problem when trying to charge my N900. It happens since day one and after upgrade to new one. It also happens after a reflash to older version and with no software installed. It happens when using the wall charger and using the USB cable connected to my laptop.
I plug my N900 and it starts charging, after a while it will stop. Sometimes it happens a few minutes after i plug it, sometimes it will happen after more time. When i unplug and replug it will start charging again and repeat the same process again: it will eventually say not charging. It happens when the phone is turned on and off. I have left my N900 plugged for hours and the light that indicates is charging just stops. Even when left 24 hours battery-eye applicaiton shows that the maximum it will get is around 40%
Do you think is a battery issue and is a matter of changing it or should i get a new device?
I have stopped media player, walked into a meeting, and put the phone on silent. My phone rings! It's ok, because the phone is on silent, however, after it stops ringing, music starts playing and it's really loud. It plays through the phone speakers.Has anyone had an issue with this? I would love to resolve this issue asap because It's happened a number of times, especially when I don't want it to.

Everything was ok for 1 day and then the phone starts to shut down when it at idle. could take 1-2 hours before it just decides to shut down. it seems very ramdom. first few times it started again but suddenly I had to take out the battery...wait a while and then start it and today it decided to shut down and I can't start it at all. Had the battery out for 10 min but not any life signs when I try again.

Every time I turn on my computer, Software Updater starts and sits its little icon up with the power and wireless icons.
There's no reference to this in System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items.
I have the following annoyng problem with my new Nokia 5230. After I powerup the phone, in about 30 seconds it starts connecting to internet without having any application running. Even when I try to disconnect the opened connection, it reconnects back by itself in about 1-2 seconds.Could you advice me what should be done in order not to have this "automatic" data connection at startup?
