I just bought my new E72, it shutdowns after 10 seconds or less , the screen just disappears, it's been now charging for 9 hours and still nothing happened, And after I plug the charger it also takes less than 10 seconds and the screen disappears too.

My phone turned off. When I try to turn it on, the logo appears for about 5 seconds and then dims and disappears, then appears for another 5 seconds and disappears again. Keeps on doing that. I have already tried pressing the home button and the sleep button at the same time. The same thing happens

View 6 Replies View RelatedHave just got my new X6 and its great except that i am having problems with my connection to my bluetooth car kit. It connects fine and has paired with it but it seems to disconnecting every 25 seconds or so and then reconnecting 25 seconds later. Its driving me bananas cos each time it does it the radio cuts out. If i am on a call it seems to keep connection. I fell i may have missed a setting somewhere but cant find anything about this.

View 4 Replies View RelatedA quite simple complaint - for Symbian S60 v3 - The screen completely BLACKS out after X seconds (configurable up to 90 seconds) no matter what settings you use. (Latest firmware.) I can't find a power-saver disable anywhere in the options. I want to be able to use a permanent screen saver display, such as a greyed-out clock on low power display, or the status + time blue and white stripe. This is fine on my older N76 and many other models. Why has this feature been excluded?

I've already had to take it to a nokia care point twice in the past month because the screen has broken and then non responsive.I've reset the phone and hard reset as well and the problem is still there...
Basically when using the phone the screen turns black for a fraction of a second, before returning to the screen I was on. It happens about every 6 or so seconds...any advise or will I have to take it back to repairs?
Also, I have white spots on my camera screen? Is this dirt or a fault with the camera?
Sometimes the clock on the lock screen vanishes. Sometimes it shows.
I ended up doing a factory reset and that seems to have corrected the missing clock issue.
Exactly what it says, the clock dissapears from the home screen, apparently, randomly.Unlocked, brand new (with 2 or 3 weeks of use), X6 16 GB with the latest firmware v32.0.002 in Portugal, using a Vodafone SIM. Don't know if it happened also on the previous firmware because, as i sayd it, the fone is new and i also noticed that just a few days ago after updating the firmware.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have x10 mini and I find it either turned off or at the sim unlock screen each time I carry it inside my trouser's pocket. If it is turned off I have do hard reset ( middle button and on/off) to turn it on. Later out of luck I have discovered that if you press the screen wtih my tumb a bit harder than usual it goes off and needs hard reset. So my guess is that the pressure inside the pocket turns it off. Believe me I usually wear baggy trousers. The reason I bought this phone is I needed something small enough to fit in a pocket. Is this normal or should I take it to service?

1) The keypad disappears which means if I want to end the call I need to press 'phone' to get the keypad up again to then end the call.
2) The phone locks while I am talking (but am still able to carry on the conversation). Therefore I need to unlock and then press phone to make sure I've ended a call.
I bought my white iphone 5s like 2 months ago! The problem is that 2 weeks ago from nowhere i got the white screen of death for 5 seconds and then it returned to usual home screen, i thought it was normal but it happened again like 1 hour ago! I did some research and found it was an ios 7 bug that Apple supposedly fixed with ios 7.1.1 update!

View 2 Replies View RelatedOver the last 3 days ive noticed my phone using a lot more battery than it usually does, i can usually get upto 2 days battery usage when its used frequently, but it has been getting less than a day over the last 3 days.
I turned the phone off with the power button and tried to turn it on again, The instant i press the power button the screen turns on (stays black but becomes a dark grey with the backlight) for about 30 seconds, but nothing else happens, the screen turns off after those 30 seconds and its back to square 1.I have tried turning it on again without a sim card, or memory card, or both and still the same result
I started using an E72 recently and installed the latest software. However there is an annoying problem with it, from time to time, i.e. once a day, it freezes. The phone won´t respond to any key (you can press and nothing happens), except the email key if keep it press it will display the screen to send an email, but that is all.
I found that the problem in clock related. The clock icon disappears from the main screen and anything after will led to a frozen phone, reboot is the only option. Sometimes going to the clock applications solves the problem but not always.
I disable the automatic sync of the clock and left it manual. But that only has halved the occurrence of the problem.
Installed the Ovi Suite today (2.2), but when I start it I see the window for about 20 sec, then it silently disappears. So I can't manage my E71 (mostly today I just wanted to load the Ovi maps), or do anything.
I've uninstalled all the previous stuff (Nokia Map Update, PC Suite etc), and reinstalled the Ovi Suite a couple of times, but Ovi still drops out.
Can anyone help? I am/was one of the lucky N97 owners my phone was relatively stable - well anything would be if comparing it to the N96!!! However, since I upgraded the software to latest version way back in November, 2009, I find my phone memory disappears daily. I have transferred everything possible to E Mass Memory and have also backed up and reinstalled the software, but after doing yet another scan of the C Phone Memory I see that I still have 39MB Other Files - which I have no idea what they are or indeed how to get rid of them. Each day this file gets larger, and eventually it will take up all the memory on the Phone again. A problem which happened with the previous version so that it just would not work at all. The last version of software has given me more memory to use, but if I don't resolve this problem I will run out of memory again before too long.

Hard reset (*#7370#), format of microSDHC, removal of microSDHC, run clean (no apps, no contacts, no bookmarks, no calendar entries - & no microSDHC) -- and still it shuts down. White screen shows, followed by Nokia Logo, then off.
Tried keeping bluetooth on this morning because someone said they tried that on their E72. This thing has gone off several times already today while searching for the a solution here. Battery maybe
I've had 2 replacements of the Lumia 920. And both suffered the same problems, random shutdowns. The problem seems to only happen when I'm not using the phone. But the only way to turn the phone on is to use the volume down key and power key for 5 seconds.

The apple logo appears for 5 seconds then disappears for 10 then appears for five and so on. I can get it to the connect to iTunes screen but as soon as I unplug it from the wall it shuts off completely. A laptop with iTunes isn't enough to power it up.

My E7 was working quite ok when suddenly it shut down and doesn't start at all. I tried to charge it and still didn't do. Then I tried to make a hard reset by pressing the power button for 8 seconds, still no results. I tried to press the menu button with the volume and the power button together but still the phone is totally shut down.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis morning my screen will not stay off. Every few seconds it lights up for 10 seconds or so. It's completely frustrating. I've uninstalled every app I can think of that would have anything to do with custom notifications, screen lighting or the lockscreen with no success.
Between this and the phantom mail alert sound I can't kill I'm about to reset it factory defaults and set it up one app at a time to ensure I get it right.
I love the bedside mode of the Storm 2, especially with the dock I recently purchased. The only problem is, I like the room dark as possible and even with the phone in bedside mode when charging, and the setting check to dim the clock, it's still far to bright.
Is there a way of having clock on, but have the screen go off with the usual setting to black the screen after say 30 seconds or whatever I choose for the backlighting time out, then have the screen come on if I reach over and touch the screen to display the clock, then letting the backlighting go off again after the preset time?
This would make the setup perfect for me, allowing me to use the Storm 2 as a bedside clock without having to have the display on all the time, but being able to turn it on for a short period of time as needed. If this is possible, can somebody post the settings needed
Up to now my screen has gone off (saved) after 20 seconds. It now remains on constantly. I would like to revert to the 20 second turn off.
