have previously ripped a bunch of my DVD's with handbrake to use on my old iphone, which worked fine, but on my new lumia 800 they are squashed.Cant work out the right settings to rip them again to use with my Lumia, can anyone advise?

I just my lumia 820 from att on saturday and i love it but there seems to be a problem with some of the settings. It seems like that audio, display+touch, and Nokia account don't seem to open and just send you back to the default settings menu.

There appears to be no way to Edit or Delete APN's already on the phone?? No little '..' to press on at the bottom right. The phone I have is an unlocked one from Clove UK. why I cannot edit/delete an APN? got MMS on Vodafone working?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was browsing the options under the settings and tried selecting 'feedback to nokia'. A prompt came up (can't remember the exact wording) saying there was a problem with two buttons. One button was to uninstall and the other was to take you to the store entry for this item. The text of the prompt suggested going to the store and trying to install again. If that failed it indicated to select uninstall and then reinstall the 'app' (really a setting option). If I picked the store button the only option I had was to share this app. So I went back to settings and selected the uninstall button. But now I can't find the 'feedback to nokia' when searching the store. So I was wondering how I can reinstall this item under settings.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI need to set my outgoing work email (SMTP) server port number to 587 and connection security to TLS. However, I can't see an option to set either the port number nor the security to TLS. SSL security can be turned on/off, but no mention of TLS.
I have read elsewhere that setting the server name as <server name> : <port number> can be used (that is, using a colon to separate the server name from the port number), but still this does not allow for selecting TLS security.
My incoming email, IMAP, works fine, so my connection/username/password etc. should all be fine.
I am trying to download 'Phonetic Keyboard' in my lumia 950 XL , but after 'preparing download' it goes to 'attention required' and throws an error - text suggestions for this keyboard not getting downloaded properly ... I tried,
1. Soft reset...
2. Uninstall windows insider , again re-subscribe fast ring everything but in vain...

But it says it can't find the server settings. So, I'm having a stab at entering them manually. This is what I'm using:So my question is, are these the correct settings to use???? If not, what should they be?I can sense it, I'm close to actually getting my calendar to sync, but I just need to get past this one (hopefully the last!) hurdle.

I'm sure it's not them causing the problem because I've tested the phone with other earphones and it wouldn't recognise them as well. When something is played the sound simply comes from the speaker. The FM radio also doesn't work and shows information that earphones are not connected.

I then tried on another Samsung phone and it get a bit father- to the pairing and had a start bar of transfer come up before it stopped and said it couldn't connect. View 5 Replies View RelatedI just picked up the new Lumia 920 from the Microsoft store in Canada. The phone was locked to Rogers and I was required to unlock in order to use it with Telus. I entered all the required APN settings to use Telus data but I still cannot get Internet Sharing to work. I'm having the same issue with MMS as well.
How can I get these features to work? This is a game changer and it's making regret switching to Windows Phone...
Truthfully I dont know if it's Nokia to blame or Rogers or Microsoft but this Internet Sharing and MMS issue has created a really poor Windows Phone experinece for me. Someone really needs to step up to the plate and address this.
I just received my Nokia Charging Stand DT-910 to go with my ATT Nokia 920.
1) I ordered the black stand. The stand and proprietary cord are black, but that huge AC charger is actually white. I can't believe that they didn't match the color on such an expensive accessory.
2) The actual NFC functionality does not work for me on the 920. Yes, when I tap the 920 to the base of the stand, I correctly get the NFC popup, and when I accept it takes me to what is obviously the Nokia software. The screen is titled "Charging Stand", and it starts on the Set Up page. It shows a diagram of the charging stand. The problem is that this app hangs. The progress dots on the top of the screen never stop moving. And the list where I am supposed to choose the application to open stays greyed out and never responds. It just continues hung like this forever, or on one occasion the phone rebooted itself.
Whatsapp works on 3G and WiFi but not on EDGE/GPRS. I tried reinstalling. I tried deleting account, reinstalling and re-registering. I also tried switching to 2G while it is working on WiFi.I also have updated to latest version but nothing works.It works fine on 3G and WiFi though.

I have a lumia 920 and the wireless charging pad.My phone was able to charge wirelessly yesterday but now it does not work at all.My friend has a lumia 920 as well and he was able to place his phone on my pad and started charging right away.

The device simply doesn't always react on the pressed key. I sometimes need to press the middle button on the Purity few times for the song to Pause or Resume. Same issues I experienced with the Original Nokia's Earphone. I've been using several Nokia Lumia 800 devices and I experienced same issue on all of them.

The play/pause/skip controls on the WH-920 headphones don't work or work very sporadically when my Lumia 900 is locked and the screen off. When locked with screen on or unlocked with screen on the controls work completely fine.This basically makes the controls on this $100 headphone set useless if my Lumia is in my pocket I ordered a replacement off of Amazon. Same issue, which leads me to believe this is a phone problem.As well, the L-shape extender makes it so that no commands can be sent at all (locked or unlocked) and also the audio is messed up (very soft) unless the middle button on the earphones is held down. This is for both sets of L-shape extenders and both sets of headphones.

I have purchased several TV shows and movies, all of which play fine on my desktop, laptop, and Microsoft Surface. Some of the video is from the Zune store and one of the videos is from the XBOX store on Windows 8. Regardless of how I purchased the content, I get the following message: "We are unable to confirm the media usage rights for this content."
If it matters, I have a Lumia 920 on AT&T in the U.S.
