The only time it lights up is when I open the phone from the lock screen and it lasts about half a second. I also have a Samsung Focus S Windows Phone and the keys stay lit while I'm using the phone.

May 2, 2012Just wondering if any other owners of the Lumia 710 are seeing light scratches on the screen? I've only had the device for a couple of weeks and already have a couple of light scratches that are visible in daylight. I'm very surprised at this as I keep the phone in a case most of the time and have been very careful with the device in general. If kept in a pocket it has always been on its own with no keys or coins.
I've owned several other devices over the last few years, with and without Gorilla Glass, and have never had a single scratch on any screen after months of use. To have a couple on the 710 after only a few weeks is rather alarming.

Nov 17, 2012i'm on my second white 920, returned the first due to battery issues. i've started playing with the camera and noticed that it does not take low light photos well. i tried taking photos in a dark room, using default settings and focus assist light on and the end result is dark photo with barely anything visible (see attached).
is anyone else having this problem with the camera sensor in low or almost no light situations? i've seen it demoed on Internet a few times where people take photos in very low or almost no light situations and they've gotten pretty good results. but for me, i'm not getting anything visible in my photos.

Jan 5, 2010i've recently started having problems with ovi maps and it's internet settings. i'm not sure when the problem started but whenever i try to access internet settings (because i want to change my connection from wifi to wap) the program just exits back to the nokia menu however all the other menus work fine. i've made a short video to show you exactly what i mean.

as you can see as soon as i press to access the internet menu it kicks me out, but i can access the navigation tab just fine then i tried to go accross to internet settings and it kicks me out again. i have already tried deleting cities folder and .qf file to no avail. i have also tried to go offline before accessing internet settings which didn't work either. i even installed nokia maps 2.0 which wasn't for this phone but installed just wouldn't work then reinstalled ovi 3 to no avail either!

Dec 2, 2012I was browsing the options under the settings and tried selecting 'feedback to nokia'. A prompt came up (can't remember the exact wording) saying there was a problem with two buttons. One button was to uninstall and the other was to take you to the store entry for this item. The text of the prompt suggested going to the store and trying to install again. If that failed it indicated to select uninstall and then reinstall the 'app' (really a setting option). If I picked the store button the only option I had was to share this app. So I went back to settings and selected the uninstall button. But now I can't find the 'feedback to nokia' when searching the store. So I was wondering how I can reinstall this item under settings.

Dec 11, 2011I need to set my outgoing work email (SMTP) server port number to 587 and connection security to TLS. However, I can't see an option to set either the port number nor the security to TLS. SSL security can be turned on/off, but no mention of TLS.
I have read elsewhere that setting the server name as <server name> : <port number> can be used (that is, using a colon to separate the server name from the port number), but still this does not allow for selecting TLS security.
My incoming email, IMAP, works fine, so my connection/username/password etc. should all be fine.
