Just wondering if any other owners of the Lumia 710 are seeing light scratches on the screen? I've only had the device for a couple of weeks and already have a couple of light scratches that are visible in daylight. I'm very surprised at this as I keep the phone in a case most of the time and have been very careful with the device in general. If kept in a pocket it has always been on its own with no keys or coins.
I've owned several other devices over the last few years, with and without Gorilla Glass, and have never had a single scratch on any screen after months of use. To have a couple on the 710 after only a few weeks is rather alarming.
Is there anyway to get rid of light screen scratches? On not sure where they came from, but they're driving me crazy. I didn't get them over 3yrs on my last iPhone, without a screen protector so I'm not sure exactly why they'd popped up.
My 18 months old Nokia Navigator 6210 has suddenly developed several thin black lines across the screen which are spreading across the entire screen area.
Are screen scratches covered under warranty. I've never used anything other than the stylus, it lives it's life in soft case, yet the screen is covered in scratches..especially where the scroll bars would appear. This is my 3rd phone.. the other 2 didn't scratch like this one has.
a scratch is something that you can see on the phone when the screen is on, or when it is off but in normal lighting (not bright sunlight).micro scratches are hairline marks that you cannot see when the display is on, and only show up at certain angles in direct sunlight.
I have noticed that when I'm watching a video or playing a game in automatic display light, when the light condition of environment changes and it makes the screen brightness change as well, I see a brief lag happening.
I had two 3g iPhones and this is my second 3gs. This new replacement screen is picking up little micro scratches like crazy. My old one was naked for 6 months with no scratches at all and ditto on the 3g phones.
Does anyone else notice that this phone gets swirls and scratches extremely easy? My 3GS's screen has no scratches in the year I had it and I've had my iPhone 4 since the day is came out and I've also had a bumper on it. The back has a big scratch on the back (but you can't feel it, just visible) and the front has a small scratch. But over the whole entire screen there are hairlines swirls all over. I never had this with my 3GS. Anyone else have this with their (easy scratching)? I don't like putting screen protectors on, never have, but contemplating doing that now.
I've been using my X10 mini for 3-4 months now. The screen is already full of scratches (even with careful use), some are smaller, some are larger.
what products would be best (and in any case, not make things any worse) to polish the screen? Some products which can be found from Amazon or eBay would be great.
I'm thinking of buying an invisibleSHIELD for the phone, but I'd like to have a scratch-free screen underneath it.
I've just bought a 5230 and I'm really annoyed that I don't have the functionality my E51 had where if it was really dark the screen would dim down. This is an important thing to me since I tend to read at night and I dislike having to go all the way to settings and so on.
Do you know any piece of software that could change screen brightness based on the light sensor readings?I'm just amazed the phone software doesn't do that on its own but hey s60v5 is worse than s60v3...
I just replaced my screen on my Nokia Lumia 1020. And now the screen is just black, but when i put into a charger there's a green light at the bottom of the screen.
How many of you have your BB with Screen scratches? Mine got some after lending it to my sister! She talked about replacing the faceplate or buying Displex!
I bought a Lumia 920 5 days ago and I realized that the front keys (back, start, and search) do not light up. The only time it lights up is when I open the phone from the lock screen and it lasts about half a second. I also have a Samsung Focus S Windows Phone and the keys stay lit while I'm using the phone.
i'm on my second white 920, returned the first due to battery issues. i've started playing with the camera and noticed that it does not take low light photos well. i tried taking photos in a dark room, using default settings and focus assist light on and the end result is dark photo with barely anything visible (see attached).
is anyone else having this problem with the camera sensor in low or almost no light situations? i've seen it demoed on Internet a few times where people take photos in very low or almost no light situations and they've gotten pretty good results. but for me, i'm not getting anything visible in my photos.
n97 is indeed a nice phone and i really don't regret my investment but i'm facing a problem with it's camera. I've learnt from the net that there was a problem with the cover which is too close and did scratched the lens. The result is that at night or in areas with low light the picture quality is very very bad. That's what happening with my n97. Nokia said to return it to their dealer to make the necessary to solve the problem and that's what i did, but there they are saying that it's my fault and that i've scratched it myself. How can i proof that's it's a common problem with that phone??? help plz... i previously has a n95 with a very good camera, sold it, and now can't accept having bought a more expensive one which should be better with it's double flash etc.and be so disappointed.
My brand new Lumia 900 has light bleeding onto the screen from the capacitive button's backlight. There is also light coming out on the leftside between the glass and the polycarbonate.
As the happy owner of Nokia 808Pureview i have the questions about the notification lights and low power screensaver. Does the 820 or 920 have this feature? I'm very use to use the always on display clock to check time and missed calls/messages. I found this very useful during night etc. It's not necessary to always unlock the phone... I know WP7.5 missed this feature but what about Lumia WP8? If this has still not been implemented, it's very step backwards for Nokia. I thing lot of customers are used to this function...
I having the problem after update my X10 to android 2.1. I found that my screen light sensor (which actually works b4 under different environment lighting) and the LED notification light (it works b4 while I got the missed call or sms) do not work after update to android 2.1... One more is, the screen color gradation seem worst that b4...is it normal?
I downloaded and updated my phone with the 31.023 update as my phone suggested i did. It reset, upgraded and looked to have completed the update.now my screen doesn't light up when active. So basically, i can't see anything on my screen. I've tried changing light settings, restoring to factory settings, redoing the software upgrade (which says there is a sync problem.
I noticed that phone works when the screen is illuminated, but when display light goes out screen freezes.I can not answer calls. I can not turn off reminder. When I press lock button (lock switch) the screen lights up and working fine until display light goes out.If I turn light off with lock switch I do not have that problem. I have V 22.0.110 and auto. keyguard on off.The problem with the screen freezing is very annoying if I forget to press lock button.
I have a N95 that has a weird screen issue. I've spent just over a week looking for an answer, searching Google and forums. The screen is very dull on the main menu, to the extent that to see any data on it you need to be in a very dark room. The screen saver however is just as bright as it has always been, brighter in fact.
I've turned the screen brightness up to full but this made no difference. It is almost as if the back light has been turned off.Does anyone know how to turn the back light on or even any resolution of this so I can use the phone during the day.
When moving away the lock screen.. my apps and everything on the screen looks very out of color and blurry. But it will go back to normal in maybe 2 too 10 seconds. It's been happening frequently and was wondering if it has happened to anybody else and if there's a way to fix it.
I have my Nokia Lumia 710 and from the beginning there is like a black dot on the screen. First i thought it is above the screen so i could wipe It...but it is not! In is actually under the screen and it really bothers me when i am on white background, on internet or playing games.
how to do this, but press the 'Power button' and 'Start' icon together and briefly. You hear the camera shutter sound, and it's saved in the 'Photo' section in an album called 'Screenshots'.
