View 14 RepliesI just noticed after only a week of having 9700, that I have a very thin surface scratch on my track pad. It's not something that you can even really see unless you move it back and forth under a light (and I'm not that vain) but it got me wondering about the possibility of deeper scratches possibly affecting the function of the track pad?? I have babied this thing for the last week, and still got a fine surface scratch, so more heavy usage could possibly result in deeper scratches down the road. Although a very fine surface scratch might not affect the function, could a deeper one affect it?? And if that happens, how easily can the track pad be changed out by a local technician (or yourself)?
View 4 Replies View Relateda scratch is something that you can see on the phone when the screen is on, or when it is off but in normal lighting (not bright sunlight).micro scratches are hairline marks that you cannot see when the display is on, and only show up at certain angles in direct sunlight.
View 8 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway to get rid of light screen scratches? On not sure where they came from, but they're driving me crazy. I didn't get them over 3yrs on my last iPhone, without a screen protector so I'm not sure exactly why they'd popped up.
View 11 Replies View Relatedknow of an effective way of removing them from the screen?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have heard of idrops for the back side. I dont know if I should use it on the screen or not.
Info:
iPhone 4S, iOS 5.0.1, 16gb black
My 18 months old Nokia Navigator 6210 has suddenly developed several thin black lines across the screen which are spreading across the entire screen area.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI had two 3g iPhones and this is my second 3gs. This new replacement screen is picking up little micro scratches like crazy. My old one was naked for 6 months with no scratches at all and ditto on the 3g phones.
View 24 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone else notice that this phone gets swirls and scratches extremely easy? My 3GS's screen has no scratches in the year I had it and I've had my iPhone 4 since the day is came out and I've also had a bumper on it. The back has a big scratch on the back (but you can't feel it, just visible) and the front has a small scratch. But over the whole entire screen there are hairlines swirls all over. I never had this with my 3GS. Anyone else have this with their (easy scratching)? I don't like putting screen protectors on, never have, but contemplating doing that now.
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust wondering if any other owners of the Lumia 710 are seeing light scratches on the screen? I've only had the device for a couple of weeks and already have a couple of light scratches that are visible in daylight. I'm very surprised at this as I keep the phone in a case most of the time and have been very careful with the device in general. If kept in a pocket it has always been on its own with no keys or coins.
I've owned several other devices over the last few years, with and without Gorilla Glass, and have never had a single scratch on any screen after months of use. To have a couple on the 710 after only a few weeks is rather alarming.
I've been using my X10 mini for 3-4 months now. The screen is already full of scratches (even with careful use), some are smaller, some are larger.
what products would be best (and in any case, not make things any worse) to polish the screen? Some products which can be found from Amazon or eBay would be great.
I'm thinking of buying an invisibleSHIELD for the phone, but I'd like to have a scratch-free screen underneath it.
Are screen scratches covered under warranty. I've never used anything other than the stylus, it lives it's life in soft case, yet the screen is covered in scratches..especially where the scroll bars would appear. This is my 3rd phone.. the other 2 didn't scratch like this one has.

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy Bold is stuck on the boot screen (at about 75%). I've tried many battery pulls with and without the SIM and it keeps doing the same thing. I've searched what I think are all the threads on here relating to this, but I'm still stuck. I'm able to connect to the device if I run Loader.exe like a user suggested, but I don't know how/where to get software to load onto the device. All the places I've searched for an OS says I need to go into the device to find information about it. Well, I can't get into the device to do that. So, how do I know what OS to download and install? I really want to exhaust all possibilities before I have to completely wipe the device because I don't have a current backup. But, even if I wipe the device, I'm going to need to download an OS which I can't do now.
View 14 Replies View RelatedApologies if this was already threaded. I know that many people each have their own preferences but it seemed like for the most part people liked the bigger screen that the 9000 offered. Why did RIM reduce the screen size for the 9700? Will we ever see a blackberry (besides touchscreens) that will have a bigger size again??

However, I want to add more icons to the home screen other than the 5 that are currently on there. How do I do this? I am currently using the "Widescreen HD 9700 O550" theme (which looks really nice).I just switched over from the G1/Android OS so I am still learning my way around the Blackberry.

View 14 Replies View RelatedThis has just started happening the last two weeks or so. When I turn the screen off, or when the phone turns the screen off after one minute, it shortly turns back on again. The only thing that will fix this for about two days or so, is a battery pull. Anyone have this issue? I am using Build 862
